@@KeytarGabriel does this sound come with the keytar without extra effects or do you use it as a midicontroller for some other guitar synth vst? does the sliding thing on the left work with other vst insturments as a midi input in the same way it does with the integrated sounds or do you have to use the included guitar sounds?
This is awesome! The most impressive part to me is the combination of power chords amd pitch bending to make it sound like a real guitar on the verses.
Oh this is magnificent ! Seems like I have found my new loop song while cooking. I am currently learning to play this on the piano so the algorithm recommended your video to me randomly. I have saved it to my playlist so that I can listen to it
John, I heard just about every version of Sweet Child of Mine, but your version was best I've heard and done on a keytar! I was blown away! more please! Great job! You may not see it, but I am clapping my hands and keeping my Bic lighter lit without burning my hands! LOL
YES! That rocks! Give damn on it! Sounds like a cool guitar solo at a sunset with his motorcycle next to him before the ride home with his "weapon" on his back.
I can't stop watching this, it's just amazingly cool. I always wanted an ax, but I have zero clue about how any of all that stuff works, and I can hardly play a keyboard with two fingers :-P
Hi thx for your inspiring videos. I bought this instrument but as compare with lucina, as edge ribbon seems to not be that much sensitive and needs lots of pressure for a good pich bending. Is there any way to make the ribbon more sensitive? Thx
Hi there thanks for the kind words, the ribbon is hard but using it over time makes it more sensitive, turning off the ribbon pressure setting helps too
Did you play this pretty song by ear or is this have sheet note i currently bought Ax Lucina and i want to play pretty melodys like this please hepl or guide me . I am not good by ear
sorry for the late reply, this is all by ear but the instrument really helps to make you feel connected to the music and kind of helps you along once you get used to it
I must have watched this 10 times now! You’re incredible 🤘🏻 I play piano myself and piano/Synth for my band and I’m looking at getting this same Keytar. I just don’t know where to start with it though, if you could give me any tips on going from keyboard to Keytar it’d be greatly appreciated, you’ve really inspired me a lot more to now get a Keytar to play live with
Thanks so much!, you're playing is really really good after checking put some of your videos I doubt you will have any problem moving to keytar. The main thing with keytar is getting used to the left hand and using the modulation and ribbon controller, it's all about feeling. I'd be happy to give some tips
Hi there, the sound is not actually from the internal synth but I am using the edge to control kontakt player on the PC, its a free stock guitar patch that comes with kontakt with some added delay to space it out a bit
great video but just one doubt ..do I need passive speakers or active speakers to conect and play my Roland?? I'll appreciate someone reply me .. t-you =)
I just bought an ax edge and would love to add the rock guitar patch you are talking about, but I have a question (probably a dumb one, lol), since I'm not familiar with music editing software. Once I download the patch and import it to my ax, I'll be able to access that patch directly from the ax, correct? So when my band plays a gig, I can just plug into my amp and play that patch just like I would any of the other presets? This is all very confusing for a newb 😆. Thanks!
The guitar sound is from komplete but you can still get some realistic shred tones from the ax if you don't mind editing a bit, just make sure you use a dry sound and run it through some food guitar fx
Hi there, sorry for the late reply. Thanks for your kind words too, its really appreciated. The sound is not from the edge unfortunately I was using it as a controller, the sound is from Kontakt player but its free to download with the kontakt player, its a standard rock guitar sound and you can adjust the amount of release from the strings from within the program. I am now using musiclab vst instruments now, you should definately check them out as they make the perfect companion to the edge
Quick question, im thinking about buying one of these in the future, and was wondering if the guitar sound used in this video is found in the sounds it comes with, or if you added/created it yourself?
Thanks!, that is actually a preset from musiclab reallpc but you can download a free trial version from thenmusiclab website, its the perfect vst for lead stuff but you can also do some great rhythm guitar with it too
This sounds amazing! Does that patch sound come as part of the built-in presets?? If not, can you explain how did you achieve such an "analog" dirty sound? Thank you very much
Hi thanks!, the sound 8s actually the stock general guitar sound with komplete, run through guitar rig. I use musiclab real lpc and realstrat for my new videos but if you look at my old videos it's just a preset from the ax
@@KeytarGabrielFantastic! I’ve got to try the music lab stuff. I’ve been running my keys through guitar effects for decades but it’s probably time for me to update my rig. I don’t have a keytar anymore and I was thinking of an AX-1 (if can find one) or perhaps a new vortex. An edge would work but I don’t really need onboard sounds. Any advice?
@darrylday30 any keytar will work but I recommend using one with a ribbon controller instead of a pitch wheel like the vortex l it just makes life so much easier. The musiclab guitars all come with an included fx suite right out the box.im making a video soon on the gear I use for live including the laptop and audio interface used fir just running musiclab
This man deserves to have the best keytarist in the world award.
Aw thanks mate!
Seen better

Just got the AX edge and I can't wait to start using it! Love this cover and excellent sound!

Hi there, this version is using rock guitar from the free kontakt library. Fx are from guitar rig.
thanks!
Outstanding!!! Thank you

Rhythmically perfect
Killer jam!
So goood .. well done

Wow! Impressive!
So on this Ax Edge with the ribbon and the pitch you can do those guitar squeak sounds? Jeezus, that’s mint!!
Nice man! I'm taking delivery on my Edge tomorrow!! I can't wait. This is a cool song to do!
Thanks Bill!! and thanks for getting me to 1000 subs! hope the new beast will bring you years of fun to come
hello from malaysia . u are super ❤🎹
I'm so jealous😍, you kill it 🙌
i can't stop watching this perfom
sometimes it's all about putting your own spin on a song.
love it!
great! So real! Do you use one of the presets or did you create a custom sound? This is the most realistic guitar sound I've ever heard from a keytar!

Where can I learn keytar 😅😅 is amazing 👏
Learn piano and listen to guitarist
Que incrível
Awesome~
fully capture the details. Btw, how to setup the fret noise to the performance?
Its included in the factory Rock guitar sound from komplete12
what patch did he create or hidden sound is he using on his Edge?
I would love to know, it's not 001

@KeytarGabriel Hi what effects pedals do you use/ recommend?
Roland Ax synth or Ax edge which one is the best ??
Edge got the editor
What is the sound that you used? great job
Hi John, wow respect. You are the reason why I bought an AX Edge. ;-) How do you simulate the string off effect e.g. at 4:49?

@@KeytarGabriel oh sweet! I might have to check it out.
what tone did you use here?
Rock guitar preset in kontakt, fx were removed and then fed the sound through guitar rig
Where i can get it one?
It’s called a Roland axe edge keytar and you can find them at a couple different places.
How long did it take you to get used to the slide pitch bend?
Hi there, only a few minutes because it just felt really intuitive. Treat it like a guitar and it won't let you down
Is this a stock/custom sound or 3rd party?
Nah this a free preset in kontakt called rock guitar but I only use musiclab software now because it just works right out the box
