You absolutely have the talent of entertainer. I got a feeling we are enjoying the music together, instead of the way where you would just perform and I would just listen.
Found your channel after impulse buying a Yamaha SHS-300 and deciding I should probably look into keytars/keyboards/synths a bit more, subscribed in an instant. Great work!
Very nice! All you need is the Max Headroom hair! I recently purchased this keytar and I'm going to try to figure out all those great features. It will be confusing for me, but worth it!
Awesome clip, Glenn 😎🤘🏻🎸🎹 that keytar sounds killer and the tunes you play are totally radical. my brother has some keytars and it was phenomenal to see him perform with it at open jam nights. They’re definitely underrated and unique instruments to own.
Hi Glenn! Thank you for this AWESOME video. Great tunes and great vibes! I also play the Roland AX-Edge keytar in our band, and I had two technical questions if you're so inclined to respond: (1) Are you using all on-board sounds for these tunes or did you program any of them? (2) How do you play along with backing tracks and monitor + record the audio output so cleanly? (I generally play only in a DAW-less live setting so I've never actually investigated how to play along with pre-recorded tunes). Thanks again and keep up the killer 80s energy! - R-Muzz of Muzzins
Thank you so much :) And you do have the right choice of Keytar as well 😃 I am recording all my tutorials to an external recorder. I am using the zoom recorder. And in this particular video I am also recording my Keytar track in my DAW along with my pre made backing track. And yes, all the sounds are onboard sounds From the Edge 😃😃😃 Sorry I answered in opposite order 🤣🤣🤣
@@GlennMainMusic thanks so much for your reply! I'm not much into programming sounds, so I'm glad to hear all those awesome tones you used were onboard presets of the AX-Edge. You can see how we use this keytar in our live shows in this short clip if you like: th-cam.com/users/shortsGZKkysb4wC4
Hi can you play this synth just as easily on a synth stand or harder to play but can do so while using all features ?? You look cool 😎 and great video thanks 🙏🏻
Playing the Keytar is a technique, but it’s not very hard if you are used to pitch bend and modulation wheels from other synths. 😃😃 The best is to be able to play without having to look at the keys all the time 😃
Hey Glenn awesome demo ! Seriously considering getting one of these. 1) Do the black on black keys seem strange at first or do you find it to be a non issue? 2) are those internal sounds
Thank you for joining my channel :-) I find it easy to play on only black key bed. I dont ususallyt look so much on it when I play... exept from oin the front of a camera.. dont know where else too look.. LOL.. Anyway, when I do live gigs, I concentrate on the audience.. so I have it in my fingers.. :-) I think that it is the same as normally cB&W keys.. I’m not sure if I understand what you mean, but there is never ment to “fake” the Miami Vice theme.. I do play it live, and there’s no meaning to sound like the original. Then I would have used the fairlight and DX7 for this… my video is just meant to play the riffs :)

The arrangements sound very sophisticated. May I ask what you made them with? 👍
They are made in Cubase over a long period of time. They are parts of some of my backing tracks when I do live piano bars 😃

Nobody seems to be able to 'fake' Miami Vice sound. You can only find Crokett's Theme. Yeah, I know, multiple instruments and programming were used.
