Is a Testarossa/TR your dream Ferrari? If not, what other classic Ferrari would you like to see in action? Please comment below, like and subscribe. Also read the written article here - www.whichcar.com.au/features/1992-ferrari-512-tr-review-testarossa
IF you were to remake the testarossa (most of the overall look outside at least), what would you change? Could one do something with the tail and the pop up lights? oculd one do somehting with the wheels? could one make the interior more like the chiron or rolls? could one do something about the lights behind? and the exhaust pipe looks? could one add rear seats without screwing up the design? What would you do if you had a team of 100 people on the ready to remake the car from a clean sheet? For one one could make it carbon fibre and stuff.
I find myself commenting on all 512 TR reviews like this, so here I go again; I have one and have done about 50000 km/ 35000 miles in it. It is a wonderful car to drive. Take it on trips, drive nice roads with 50 mph/ 80-90 kph speed limit ( meaning you can bash the car around at up to 150 mph!). I am 6ft 2in ( 190 cm) tall with 45 euro size shoes. No big problem fitting in. It drives really good and you feel special the whole time. It is underappreciated. Does cost a bit to maintain ( mainly when the differential break ( It will break, I guarantee you. 20 000 usd/euro) + timing belt-change every 4 years( 5000 usd/ euro incl. oil and some other bits that you probably need to replace from time to time) but it doesn`t loose value so in the end it is not that expensive after all :-)
Great car and in my opinion the best car in the Testarossa series. Faster and better handling than the original car but still great a great looking car. The later 512M had a little more power but I've never been a fan of the styling.
Steering wheel extensions are available to bring the wheel closer to you. I have one on my Testarossa. It’s just an inch thick but makes a big difference.
Great car, great review. I also love the black on black color scheme. Its the best I think, also I dont think that is a flat black exterior, it looks special.
Had a 959 poster on my wall, back when they were new, even saw one in person...along with a Ferrari F40, which I also saw on the road. Not to mention attending many historical events "back in the day."
I feel like this was a terribly wasted opportunity to showcase the car, the experience and the sound; instead spending so much time telling us details we can find online ☹️
Alas, a couple of errors in the video that we didn't want to remain there for all-time, so we decided to fix and re-upload. Not ideal and of course we aim to be better than that! Thanks for the compliment though mate.
A flat-12 is a 180-degree V12? That is some serious nonsense right there, especially when you add the word "technically". A flat is a flat, and a V is a V. And you think it's pedantic to note the actual model? Very strange.

Yes was my dream car playing 1986 Outrun from Sega. As kid seeking an opportunity to see one, that probably I saw this car just one time

This car is so under appreciated, had one for 3 years and it was incredible and totally reliable

515TR is simply the Testarossa perfected. More modern front end and bigger, better designed wheels make for nice upgrades.
best supercar ever made

As a boy I had a white "micro machine" Testarossa I was rather fond of. One of my favorite toys.
Doesn't it sound good? What was the point in masking the engine sounds just playing music over the top? Should have got some drive by engine sounds!
Great history lesson and car review
Great car, great review. I also love the black on black color scheme. Its the best I think, also I dont think that is a flat black exterior, it looks special.
Lovely video. Been hooked on the Testarossa since the early 90’s. Also diggin your James Sunderland look at the beginning

Excellent test drive and this looks a wonderful car. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice and respectful test, thank you !
Yes i too had the poster!I didn't realise that they'd used a gearstick from a transit van,lol.Enjoyed the vid,cheers mate😊😊
Looks like a drive through Bobbin Head, north of Sydney? Great bit of road.
The 5 bolt wheels came already on the 1988 Testarossa.
You can adjust the steering wheel. Base of the wheel for up and down lol.
I still not understand why is the Testarossa not considered a Hypercar and as good and beautiful like the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo and La Ferrari !?
Because it is an iconic somewhat comfortable 12 cyclinder GT car …. it is not as rare, raw, edgy or extreme as the said mentioned limited Ferrari’s
That vanity mirror is fantastically 80s
The best Ferrari
Gorgeous car
Beautiful
Beautiful car with pop up headlight. I like more the 512 TR. 12 Cyl. The coolest Ferraris are from the 90s. Love it!
I saw a black one in my customers house today and now I’m balls deep in a rabbit hole
When I think of "Ferrari", this very car that comes to my mind. 512 TR

Quick blat in second and third hardly flat out...
*blast but agreed
308/328/348 reviews please too - great info Jezz :)
The 5 bolt came allready in 1988....

😃👍🏽
This makes Lamborghini look even ugly
prefer a Testarossa to a 512. Back is nicer on a Testarossa.
Testarossa is ugly. 512 is too beautiful for words.
Nah..
It's so ridiculous the right-hand drive, and the left lane drive lanes across the pond! It is dangerous and dumb!
In Utopia we drive cars by telepathy.
🇬🇧
I'm not gonna say dumb but challenging.
Design was from Fiat not from pininfarina.
If you don't know the metric system and kilowatts don't bother with this review it for Europeans.
