Exactly one month ago, i decided that as a beginner dancer i had to work on my core strenght, and so i took this challenge. At first is was extremely hard to even do some of the exercices for 3 seconds, but now, i am happy to notice a huge difference as i can somehow confortably do the whole workout ( and as further proof, my planc reccord went from 30s to 1min40s). So thank you Jasmine, and for all those who just started and find this really hard, just stick to it, you'll be rewarded sooner than you think !
I was a dancer all through adolescence up until I graduated high school. Now in my 20's I find myself at odds with body, hating it, criticizing it. I love that this workout is beginner friendly and only a few minutes long. It's a way to challenge my body but still feel grounded within it. I'm trying to love my body. That it doesn't need to be a certain size to be worthy. A few affirmations I'm using: I move my body because I love it, not because I hate it. My purpose in life is not to look pretty. I am not at war with my body. I deserve to feel good. Thank you for this workout, I wish everyone the best of luck on their journeys ❤
I want to notice a couple things for you, if you do not mind. Affirmations must be positive, i.e. must not contain negative words (like "no" or "not") and words with negative meaning (like "hate", "war", "deserve" in your example). You can read some books about it or just admit) As for me, I found affirmations did not work, decide yourself if you really need to waste your time for that. And second, your body needs some movement and balanced food, so just give it to your body, without struggling and harsh restrictions. Do not fight with yourself, there would be no winner. Just live, breathe and be happy - this is the natural condition for human.
When I first tried this, for every single exercise I said to myself “no let’s skip this one it’s too hard” but I told myself every time that you can’t get better if you don’t put in the work to get better. For anyone who needs to hear this, you won’t get better if you don’t put in the work to be better. Your doing great.❤ (Love this routine, great video!)
I just want to say thank you so so much for taking the time to share this!!! it really did work exactly the same, every time a new exercise started and I wanted to stop a voice inside my head told me "you need to put the work in to get better" and I somehow ended getting through the whole video 😭so I'm just really really grateful to you for putting that voice in my head thank you for helping someone find the motivation to get stronger!!!!
That's inspiring but honestly I don't even work out and I'm massive and ripped as yet others I know that go to gym every day and work hard are smaller ❤ so yeah genetics is very very important and the actual understanding that as an example if you tell your muscles to grow they will grow ❤ so if your a person that has to work harder to get similar results it means you are a harder more dedicated and stronger individual remember it's not meant to be easy and when you realise this about life it gets much easier after knowing that life is a hard mode always game 💪
I started doing this everyday for two weeks (as a figure skater) and omg this helped me so much with my on-ice performance and my form during axels looks so much better. 10/10 thank you so much for this workout
Something qbout seeing her do the workout so gracefully and elegantly makes me wanna push myself more to reach a point where these exercises are as easy as basic stretches to me
I was intimidated by how graceful the movements are cause I'm a dude, but I pushed past that and got a real good burn on my abs. Thanks your routine is great.
Not a dancer or skater or gymnast- I’m old had lots of broken bones - this is my 3 rd day and I’m feeling things I haven’t felt in years-- and it doesn’t feel good but I’m happy I got as much in as possible-- thanks for the PUSH!
I always had struggled when doing abs workouts, because I didn’t enjoy the burn of them so it was difficult for me to have consistency. But I loved so much this workout, my body enjoyed it because I moved with such a grace and elegance. It was a beautiful slow motion workout and my body felt so connected with every movement. Thank u
I've been doing this workout every day for 8-9 days now, which is a really good track record for me. I love how quick this workout is (I find it pretty easy to motivate myself to squeeze it into my day), and it also strikes a nice balance between being effective but not exhausting, as well as the moves being pretty easy. Really love this one!
I'm just a dude trying to get in shape and this is my go-to core workout. It's such a challenge! I can't do the whole thing yet. Sometimes I go the full 40 seconds for as many exercises as I can do, or do 20/25 seconds for the entire workout.
as a viewer who’s extremely unfit and trying to get into shape, I think these dance workouts are the only thing that make me feel like I’m actually getting better at using my muscles. even when I go to the gym, or run, or walk or bike, I think this makes me feel better than I’ve felt in a long time
as a ballet student this exercise is the perfect everyday workout. it is not too challenging for me but i know that your core is a really important part of ballet and i wanted to start working my core more. this workout was just perfect and exactly what i was looking for!!
I've been doing many of your workout routines, some of them a few times per week repetitively! I'm an older adult dancer and I find that supplementing these with barre and center exercises several times per week, as well as some light weight lifting and calisthenics, has improved my strength for pointe work and my stamina for dance and life in general. I am very busy working full time and caring for a disabled partner, so I also appreciate being able to do these very early in the morning before my busy day. They are short but intense, exactly what I need! Thank you!
As a younger dancer, I am beginning to move up to more difficult classes. These exercises are perfect of my core and overall strength. I notice how many teacher want me to plank, but I find these videos much easier and even more helpful. Thank you so much!
I'm a competitive dancer of 10 years and DAMN my core is weak. I don't even know how I did some of my routines when I can't even go through five seconds of some of these exercises 😭😭😭 definitely going to do this everyday now, thank you!
I’ve been doing this workout 2-3 times a week for 5 weeks and I finally did the entire routine in one go without stopping. Disclaimer I started with 0 core strength 😅 V ups and the leg lift ups were the hardest for me! Thank you so much for this video!! ❤🫶
I’ve been out of dance classes for 2 years. I love dance and it will always be a part of me. Thank you for reconnecting me with dance, and this workout is amazing!
yess these are the exact abs conditioning exercises i would do as a dancer! i love still doing these till this day after no longer doing dance to maintain a strong to core
short, simple, and effective! love it! i first tried it yesterday because i had figure ice skating class this morning and need to improve my core strength and i just had a great class
Don't mind me, just a pole dancer enjoying some ballet lessons 😂I've doing this core workout for some months now and it's really helping me a lot in my training! At first it was very hard for me, but now I can do all the exercises. Thanks soo much for these workouts, Jasmine, they are lovely and so helpful for all types of dances!! 💜
I’ve been dancing since I was little, but I never specifically trained my core. That is until about high school, I started doing a lot of ab workouts. However, I never focused on dance-specific ab exercises, and now that I’m a senior in my last year of dance and drill team, I wish I had! That being said, I didn’t struggle in this workout as much as I thought I would. I guess Lilly Sabri’s workouts (which I have been doing) are a bit similar or at least work a lot! This is one of the first ballet abs workouts I’ve done and I can say (having done a lot of other ab workouts), that it’s a really great workout especially for us dancers! Thank you I enjoyed it
Doing this makes my core feel so engaged and ready to go! Could you consider doing a routine w/ exercises that target other areas of the core (obliques, pecs, delts) not just the abs?

Started the workout yesterday and i can confirm that it's not easy. i am a Hip hop and Dance hall dancer and i Think i need to workout on my core as much as possible so thank you.
Genuinely surprised I can get through this work out even if it's not perfect. This is one of the best core workouts where I can actually feel the burn. I thought I was doing exercises wrong, but it was just they weren't challenging enough! Thanks for posting this!
i was just searching for a quick strech vid and i found this!! i absolutely needed an easy and effective core workout in my routine, this was rly fun to do!!! thank u jasmine
Not that it's the most important thing about the video, but I really like your voice and the way you talk. I oftentimes get annoyed with those artificially motivating or soft feel-good voices that some people use in their workouts. It's nice to hear someone speak like a normal person 👍
I used to do this routine in january but I stoped due to my studies, now that i'm starting again I can't believe that I was able to do this 3 times in a row... I'll try to gain my core strength again 💪💪💪💪
Hello!! I’ve been doing this once a day everyday for the past week or so, and even in such a short time I already feel so much better and can see slight results!!! 🎉thank you!
This was such a great workout! Very relevant for me as I prepare to be in a performance soon. I noticed my core needs a bit more strength so I am going to do this for a whole week and report back 😊
I have never done ballet core workouts before they are sort of different to some fitness influencer's programs and I like it But oh man, the struggle was real... i'm tired after trying to do this workout! love it!
whole time i said "damn girl you do this shit everyday?" but this was great and I loved it! gonna be part of my daily routine now :D (im starting ballet soon!)
At least four of these aren’t _beginner_ friendly, at all! I have no core strength right now, I didn’t workout and just ate and ate, and ate, for around nine months. There’s no way I can do those last exercises right now! However, I’ll definitely be coming back to this once my core actually is stronger!
I'm dancing jazz & modern, starting soon ballet and acrobatic, i hope that this workout help me with piruattes, damn girl you're so strong, thanks for exercises
I am a belly dancer and do strength training. This workout really challenged me. There was a lot of OMG! and stuff exclaimed during. It will get easier as I get better.
I'm going to try this every day for a couple weeks. Day 1: This was a lot harder than I expected, and my legs were shaking a lot. I had to stop early on some of the exercises, but I definitely felt the burn! Day 2: Still pretty hard, and I was definitely feeling the burn. I still had to take a lot of breaks, but overall better than yesterday! Day 3: The bicycles and jackknives were a lot easier than before, but the plank was much harder.
Dancers - with their looks, the work they put into staying fit, honing their bodies for the specific jobs, the mental work needed to know both the methods of dance and its history - are an incredible mix of athlete and artist. Both team players and stand-out individuals, they use their athletic bodies as a paintbrush, or chisel, or pen to create the reality of dreams and illusions. As a guy who is perpetually out-of-shape dancers are practically gods walking the earth.
I had to quit ballet due to some knee issues, and since then I had stopped training my core (quit about 8-9 mths ago) and although I'm struggling a tad bit with the exercises, I'm sure I will get better over time if I keep doing this daily🤞🏼
Do you have one like this for complete newbies? I have some special needs and chronic pain but I found ballet inspired work out and Gyrotonic (and the best, a mix of both) REALLY satisfying and engaging on my body ❣️
Which time of day do you do these? If in the morning, what morning routine works for you? Do you eat or drink before this? Do you wake your muscles, warm them up before this? Thanks :)
I tried it for the first time and although I couldn’t make it to the end (only made it till like 7:50) it felt nice and enough, I enjoyed it so much and it wasn’t boring at all!
This workout is great but the ads really kill it mid fllow. I constantly get 2 30 second ads pop up in the middle of the 40 secs, For a 8 min vid it's got about 3 mins of ads, is there any way these can be at the start?
I surprised myself. I'm almost 44 but did ballet from age 6 to 18 and pointe work from 11 to 18. I've done about 6 months of ballet in my thirties but that's it. I struggled a little through a few of them looking less than graceful but it felt like a shorter exercise doing it than watching it.
what is the best way to improve on the movements? I am not a dancer, but just like this as a core workout. I just have been doing less reps, slow, and less range of motion, trying to keep back to floor. Is that a good approach? I can really feel it, no matter how little I am doing compared to you.
day 3 log in my core hurts so much after ytd For the first two days I was not able to complete all the movements, but today I get to complete the work out ! (kind of😂)
I'm going to do this every Monday, Wednesday and Friday! Day1: ✅ (28/06/24) it was so hard Day2: ✅ (01/07/24) better Day3: ✅ (03/07/24) i'm seeing the results! Day4: ✅ (06/07/24) i forgot to do it yesterday 😅
Im taking my pointe test in the fall, and before I take it I wanna make sure I have a really great balance. I can barely hold still so i was thinking about using this to improve my core. does it really work?

How often are you doing this workout! We are in the same position, so I’m just wondering!
@@mollygrace2666 i’m guessing daily as that’s what the title says, but even every other day should really help
@@mollygrace2666 I do it pretty much daily, after my dancing session, but whenever i felt too tired i would skip.
Did ur dancing get better?
The way she moves her legs is so beautiful, like actually mesmerizing. You can tell right away she's a wonderful dancer
Right?? I thought it was just me but you can see how graceful she is.
Yes it is very difficult to do
I think 🤔 her very pointed toes gives me a very big clue 🧩🗝️😅

I've never seen anyone doing bicycles so gracefully 😅 but if she's a ballet dancer this totally makes sense. Loved the workout!

This workout is great but the ads really kill it mid fllow. I constantly get 2 30 second ads pop up in the middle of the 40 secs, For a 8 min vid it's got about 3 mins of ads, is there any way these can be at the start?
What's the reason for keeping your head lifted during the heel taps at 1:16?
It is for core/abs, when you move your legs like this with your head lifted is good for abs!
Love your arms!! They're so elegant
ugh, you make it look so easy!
Love this!! I'm going to add this to my daily routine!
I absolutely loooooooooove your classes thank you so much !!!!❤
what is the best way to improve on the movements? I am not a dancer, but just like this as a core workout. I just have been doing less reps, slow, and less range of motion, trying to keep back to floor. Is that a good approach?
I can really feel it, no matter how little I am doing compared to you.
Super exercises from Super Ballarina 😍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💐💐💐
Thank you very much Jasmine 💗
how do you keep your legs flexed when you put them up in the 4th and last exercises?
Great workout, beautiful, elegant, aesthetic and effective.
Thank you so much!
day 3 log in
my core hurts so much after ytd
For the first two days I was not able to complete all the movements, but today I get to complete the work out ! (kind of😂)
Do you have any wisdom for SI pain or imbalanced pelvis?
Ty for this video!

Glad you liked it!!
ive been doing this workout for around 1 month and it stills burn!! but it gave me nice 11 abs :)
What’s the music/track list, I’m really enjoying its great 😅

Just wondering how healthy this is for the pelvic floor....?
I'm going to do this every Monday, Wednesday and Friday!
Day1: ✅ (28/06/24) it was so hard
Day2: ✅ (01/07/24) better
Day3: ✅ (03/07/24) i'm seeing the results!
Day4: ✅ (06/07/24) i forgot to do it yesterday 😅
I don’t even do ballet and I’m enjoying this
TYSM for thie Jasmine I hope it helps! I can really feel the ab workout. Plus your name is so pretty! ✨✨✨✨
Im taking my pointe test in the fall, and before I take it I wanna make sure I have a really great balance. I can barely hold still so i was thinking about using this to improve my core. does it really work?
Is it okay if we just do it for flexibility?im not a ballet but these workout looking great.
this is awesome, i'm a dancer but i'm trying to get comfortable with my body and get fitter
