I just repaired my A/C automatic blend motor assembly by disassembling the unit, inspected the gears, inspected the large final drive gear and its copper fingers that slide on the variable resistor pad. I put more tension on the copper fingers and used the surplus lube from inside and applied it to the gears. Reinstalled the unit and started my 2012 GMC Sierra with the A/C on, varied the temp setting cold to hot and back again, IT WORKS! Just my time and no parts.
One of the best videos I have seen on YT and I joined when I could use my first name as a login. No BS yapping about what we're going to do and why GM did X and then the wife drove it and... The camera work is phenomenal and he even included the torque for the airbag bolts.
Is the driver side one that you are taking out at the beginning of the video? Is that where I would find it on a 2009 Chevy Avalanche would be on the passenger side on the floor next to the sub?
2014 Yukon, was replacing the actuator under the dash, and the little "protective" panel for the actuator doesn't seem to do much, but really makes things tougher to R&R the actuator. Visible at 2:57 time/mark. Can this simply be cut off, or what does it really do???? Thanks.
2010 3.9 v6 chevy impala, driver side vents not blowing cold like the passenger side. Replaced driver side actuator hoping to fix the issue. Still having the same issue. Did 3 different reset/relearn procedures, still same issue... Any ideas? Could freon level be low? Any help is most appreciated!
If the truck is blowing hot air out on both sides and the driver side randomly blows cool/room air temp, would this be the problem? Turned heat down all the way and turned it back up twice, and heat began blowing out both sides again.
My problem is the air and odors they are coming from outside and just one time I have the problem of mixing cool air on the driver side and hot air on the pass side I need to replace the acuator on the bottom or the one close to the air bag?
Just worked on my 2010 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado. Drivers side actuater went in just like the video. The passenger side dash on my truck is totally different air bag set up. HELP!
This is to fix the ac? Cuz my suburban blows air from the back vents and the system is turned on like I can change the temperature and all that it just it won’t blow air from the front vents and I’ve been looking at tons of video but I just wanna make sure that’s what it’s for I’m very new to cars
What happens if you changed and it was blowing cold then you turn the car off and it's back to doing the same thing ? The driver side is back to blowing heat

This video is EPIC. That camera angle in the upper dash was insane. Thank you for this. I need to do this on my Avalanche soon.

That was some really good camera work. Really tight workspace and great shots of work being done
which door controls the hot air mix ?

Love the video I just did this job today. 3/23. Man I would buy you dinner. Thanks for the help
How do you know if it is the actuator, blower motor or flap? If you are trying to do this yourself? Would you have to take them all out?
2007 yukon
I saw two Actuators under the airbag and one under console and one under the steering wheel. Total of 4 .
The 2009 single zone system isn't located here.... is it behind the glove box ?
Will be the same procedure for Escalade 2009?
Thanks
