Ice-T! I watched Rich and his crew build this car as it was released. It was such a delightful departure from his Tesla rebuilds. Honestly I just loved to read the hate in the comments from the Tesla community 😂 This really is a fantastic build. Can’t wait to see what you can do to make this project better.
Screw Elon and his taint lickers. We are AMERICANS FFS. V8 RWD. Manual trans. Anything less is COMMIE! Being sarcastic of course EV certainly has it's place but for true excitement of driving you can't beat the formula which this Tesla has.
I was just thinking that.... but, the car seems to work and deal with the HP. Maybe they were in a hurry for SEMA? Making excuses I know. I just like the car because it is an F.U. to Elon.
The Model S is not that special. Its a basic sedan that happened to have electric motors and a battery. The McLaren P1 is a multi million dollar hypercar carbon fiber chassis hybrid V8. Messing with its formula ruins the original intent and experience. That being said, I understand Freddy not putting the battery back in and yes it does save weight, but I'm just saying those two things are not as close as you want them to be.
After Rich's ICE-T build series videos, and after it went to SEMA (and met film star 😉), I thought ICE-T was a solid unit. I guess there was a lot more going on behind the camera. I will say one thing: Joshua's aluminum welds when the chassis was filleted were first rate! They were amazing! Anyway, I'm glad to see ICE-T is going to be tuned and have the kinks all worked out! 🙂
Version one built and tuned in Massachusetts was pretty dialed in. It was put through it's paces at a speedway, driven around NY city then drove form NY to MA. Now as for version two where they put a supercharger on it in Florida no comment................
I am still pissed that the Netflix series Rust to Riches said they "made the first v8 converted Tesla." This one has been around for YEARS and those posers couldn't even get the electronics to work ... like at all.
That pile of garbage they built was a total disaster too. Stuff just cobbled together and looked super half ass. Rich did an outstanding job on this one and puts Gotham Garage to shame.
Desmond is AWESOME! He’s a walking encyclopedia of anything tuning!! That part was my favorite part of this highly-entertaining video! Freddie has a knack of finding supremely talented people!
Yay! Ice-T is getting some love and attention. Can't wait to see where it goes from here. Good to see more of Will and Edwin's Florida adventure series cross pollination.

I love rex being more in the vids! I think you should always do that going forward. It's why I love watching cleetus so religiously, it's because it's like having a real show with multiple characters and personality, not just a one man show
Good thing you have a friend who does fiberglass and another friend who does carbon fiber. 😮 I'm pretty sure you can get someone to fabricate a hood using the original as a starting point.
I love this build for so many reasons. Don't get me wrong I am not some kind of EV hater climate change denier. I am just addicted to how I was raised as far as driving excitement. V8, RWD, manual trans and loud. None is ever boring.
Oh boy. Love the videos bro. Been here since the vantage which I might add I adore. Good luck with p1. Looking forward to the next episode. Also loving the r8.
"I think we are in 3rd..." That is a must fix. Nothing is more fun to drive then a loud V8 RWD manual trans car but not being 100% sure what gear you are in is a deal killer. I am sure Freddy will deal with that as well as making a cowl hood for this beast. Great content as usual.
Hey Freddie. I live in South Florida, Naples to be exact. I will make a cowl hood for that car if you want. But all expenses are on you.. or whomever as long as it is not me. Granted I would think with your talent and talent pool won't require me I will do it if no one else wants to.
Thinking ZL-1 style bonded to the cut factory hood. Finished and ready for wrap around a grand. I just need to get some measurements and take the hood to my shop for a week or so.. I am a perfectionist.
Unless you want to have it blacked out?? It would work with the trim and rims... but with a matching wrap might better fit the theme of this Tesla I am thinking. Maybe black lettering or details? So many decisions lol.
Man I must've missed alot! 3:59 when he started talking about what happened to the car after Version 1 was uploaded a few years ago 😳🤯 I'm glad Freddy is giving Ice-T some extra TLC
You are supposed to still use the clutch with that shifter between gear changes! It's not a sequential transmission, just that shifter. Also, the S1 shifter is prone to bending forks!
Naples Motorsports. I live literally walking distance. I got to go check out that Ford if it's still there. What a work of art and so racing history nostalgia. Granted I am more of a GT40 guy I could put this on my bucket list as well.
Fuhk plaid. Ice T is where it's at, & Rich did an awesome job, along with the rest of the crew. My hats go off to them all. It's very cool to see someone thats local to me(Melbourne FL), good ol' Tavarish working on such an one off, amazingly built, work of art, but let's face it, Taverish has some of the coolest cars on the planet, like Ferrari's and McLaren's. Rich definitely picked the right guy for the job. For me, ICE - T was the ultimate middle finger to Tesla, for mainly not allowing the public to work on their vehicles in any way, & Rich rebuild was really the Pioneer on standing Up to Tesla in this regard. I think that's what makes this car so special. 👍💯 One thing I do remember is the electrical nightmare getting the factory Tesla computer to mate up to the ls ign..... I think the way they did it was they just left the car on as if it was on but not running, Without the Tesla actually knowing that it's running and driving down the road.
Great video and hell of a car but the drivers door is doing my head in as it looks a different shade to the rest of the car!!! They must have put the wrap on a different way round to the rest!!! Only downside for me but I have OCD lol
Happy I was able to help you get this one tuned and iron out the bugs. Dyno time coming soon!

Watching and listening to those EV fanatics cry and whine was music to my ears, much like when Conan was asked "what is good in life?" 😎🤣😎
I don't see any hate for this car here.

AND.. it's loud.
I like the tuner guy. He explained the situation and specifics of what he was trying to do.
I'm just so impressed how well the apprentice did with that welding for dummies book.
😅
It was the V8 juice magic man, the thing works.
I was just thinking that.... but, the car seems to work and deal with the HP. Maybe they were in a hurry for SEMA? Making excuses I know. I just like the car because it is an F.U. to Elon.
18:11 Well, of _course_ it's running "Rich." 😁
Ha

So true. Crazy what gets people worked up. Lol

I have the feeling that Freddy is going to change that... 😁😎🤟
Especially with a carbon fibre specialist down the street 😎

Jack rubbing his hands in the background...
He better... it is written...
Wait! GRIND HARD TOO! LOVE IT! Ice-T is in good hands.
For all of Rich's shenanigans he and his team bolt together a quality car
Saw the thumbnail, instantly recognized ICE-T! It's always fun seeing these project cars get passed around TH-cam...

Agree.. That Mark guy is always riding on a high ego trip building cars with poor fit and finish..
The "concept super car" that show made was one of the worst things on 4 wheels I've ever seen.

Rich and his team did such a great job on Ice T. Freaking fantastic build

Yer rex has a good vibe to him
Disagree. That dude is annoying. He's just nervously laughing in every scene and seemingly contributes nothing other than bitch work.
You, Ice-T, Electrified Garage, and the dudes from Grind Hard here in Florida, just so much awesome
Mate the center of a Camaro hood to the outer edges of the Tesla hood. Maintains your body lines and allows for the beast under the hood.
Great video. Bonus to see Will and Edwin hanging out.
It's good to see you making videos again. It's slim pickin's on TH-cam for good car content right now.
They had richi on there grind hard channel awhile back
12:10 Watching the front end raise up was 🤯🤯🤯 Awsome.
Nice editing cutting right before it scraped the rear bumper.
Watched Rich build this on his channel. Cool car.

This car is Badass. Watched Rich and his crew build it.
Don’t worry. If that’s the wrong coolant you’ll know very soon by the leaking from the breakdown of all your seals. Former Bonneville dexcool owner.
I hear a lot of people say Dexcool is horrible. Is it really that bad or is it just people using the wrong stuff in the wrong vehicle?
Old dex was pretty nasty. New stuff has been fine for like 10 years. Also own/ed 5 Bonnie’s lol
Good to see this thing again. Glad it's still kicking, few transmission issues for sure but it's still as ferocious as the day it was built
Finally a Tesla that is a real car for real car enthusiast
Duude who is doing your music production?
Coz it’s skyrocketed in quality!🎉
Keep up the good job!
