Today, I trade my old Porsche 911 Turbo engine for an entire car - a 1993 Toyota Supra that needs absolutely everything, even though it has a clean title and "runs and drives." You're gonna want to stay until the end for this.

I still can't believe he traded it for a clapped out, completely gutted NA Supra though....a "built" Porsche F6 isn't cheap, like a nice built NA 427ci LS is anywhere from 25k to 50k depending on who the builder is, you're not touching a completely forged hand built, stroked, NA F6 for under 50k, under 60, 70k sometimes, sometimes 100k+.... and this also has a pair of turbos, sure turbo water cooled F6's are slightly cheaper to build than max effort NA F6's, but not by much, that's probably an easy 65-70k engine..... for an NA Supra shell lol.
At least Jack's getting it, it makes the hit worth it I suppose 😅

It's florida though, they have lots of sand..all they have to do is drive it on the beach until its brought down to bare metal for a easy repaint, then hit it with a few cans of that florida sunshine at a dollar per can from disney automotive supplies.

Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust.

I'm so happy with this turnout! The friendship you guys have is what many people dream of and seeing Jack get the Supra he's wanted for a long time is wholesome for real! I also own a MK4 Supra that I'm slowly building so I'm gonna really look forward to seeing Jack's progress on his build!

Hello Australian 🇦🇺 here, Supra was never sold new in Australia they were only imported from Japan in the late 90s onwards

To answer your question on origins: Being a MKIV Gen Supra, it would have started life in Japan, and then been imported into Australia. Toyota officially stopped selling Supras in the Australian market after the MKIII.
As for the "wear and tear", this looks like it was probably bought at the bottom of prices (I nearly bought one of these for around AUD$10k at one stage), and used as a farm beater, just ripping around paddocks all day. The interior being missing, and the bodywork on this tracks with this being a farm beater.

If it’s an Aussie car it’ll have an Australian compliance plate & a VIN plate. These plates are usually located in the engine bay likely on the firewall or strut tower for that era. They may also have the chassis number stamped on the frame on the radiator support, strut tower or under the frame behind the windscreen passenger (left side).
For the year it’s unlikely anyone “imported” the car from Japan outside of being purchased from a Toyota dealership that was built in Japan for the Australian market. FYI
JZA80 was never sold new in Australia. ALL JZA80's in Australia are Japanese imports. It will have a low volume import compliance plate that will list the company that imported it to Australia.

I bought me a 2000 Honda Accord ex 3.0L v6, 4 door coup. The car was totaled and was a total loss. I bought it and rebuilt it. Now I got it like 80% done and road worthy.
I've gotta get a key phob, gotta get the ball joints on front passenger side, brakes, and gotta get cat backs. About to get the new gasket for my oil pan done. And it needs an oil change. I had to do a lot to it such as rebuild the motor and the entire front end. I had to jump through so many hoops just to get the car legal. Got a salvage title.
Build it better mate. Good bones. Just a lot of work.

I also loved Jack 's reaction, he just seems like a super cool and humble dude so he doesn't deserve the punishment of all the work that he will have to do to this Supra and that's the reason he was crying 😂
