I love how Ratnesh's enthusiasm and desire to help you get the P1 back on the road. Imagine the parts were still expensive, but nowhere near what the factory charges. V Engineering is the kind of shop that love keeping these cars on the road and will probably save you a lot of research time with their knowledge
Such a treasure trove of amazing bits and bobs.
We don’t know how much he made off Freddy in one transaction though do we?
Ratnesh is expecting a very considerable payment from Freddy. It's nice, that he's gonna make a special price for him to buy a bunch - but nobody thinks, he doesn't have a considerable margin to what he has originally paid. And that's fine. I love, that there are those treasure chests around - let them have their profit. If nobody collects those parts, it gets more expensive for everyone.
@@obi-wankenobi7160doesn’t really matter how much he made, freddie gets the parts cheaper and he (may or may not) get profit it’s a win win
Christmas for Tavarish in June 😮
I'm not much of a car guy myself, but Ratnesh's passion for McLaren parts and his collection are so inspiring. I don't care what it is you collect or sell, if you are passionate about it and have super rare pieces, I'll be excited with you.
Also, my mind was blown by Freddie's ability to identify McLaren parts off the cuff. It just goes to show the incredible amount of work he's putting in behind the scenes on these cars. That's the power of wrenching every day.
Agreed! Thanks Freddie for sharing with us.
Curious about your statement. You say you’re not much of a car guy and that makes me wonder what made you want to watch a P1 resurrection series? I couldn’t agree more with you. I thoroughly enjoy people who have extreme passion for what they collect/sell. He has a level of expertise that is hard to find and even harder to find to help with such a task.
One thing is to know the car from just looking at it... but that was on another level
Look up my brothers salvage yard, all he does is 🇺🇸 cars tho. BigCat auto salvage, collection of rarities.
If you’re watching this video (and the series) I’m sure you’re secretly a pretty big car guy ;)
Great to see you Freddie and so pleased you got to see my Carbon Kpurple P1 and hopefully it gave you some ideas for your one. Really great to talk to you and your passion and knowledge for rebuilding cars is fantastic and cannot wait to see the finished Mclaren P1 👏
Your car is amazing man.
Such a beautiful car!
I thought that was you in the other video. I'm more familiar with your Vantage builds.
Beautiful Car. However that paint kills me. It looks like it belongs on an Old Caddy or something with 13 inch spoke wheels and hydraulic suspension.. Love the inlaid badge though. Wonderful idea when so many "people" love to steal badges and hood ornaments.
She is beautiful!
The P1 rebuild project was never about the P1, but the friends Freddie makes along the way
???? Yeah, who wants to own and drive a P1 ....🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
So true, cars are about stories, whether its u and ur dad working on an old beater or tracking down hypercar parts... It's about the story...
stupid ass take, definitely was for the P1
It’s kind of crazy, every video has another well known car TH-camr in it. I’m loving it.
I mean it’s a little about the P1 lol
Ratnesh is really cool, and pretty forward looking buying up those parts trusting that someone will eventually need them. When Freddy announced he'd bought the flood P1 I thought he'd never be able to get any parts and we'd be seeing Jack trying to use Bondo on carbon fiber. But clearly that won't be the case.
The carbon under the Purple is beautiful. Ratnesh seems super humble
I've seen the car irl and it looks even better
I saw a Bugatti Chiron with the same paint spec. I wish I could find the photos I took of it but it was absurd. That was around when the Chiron was brand new, so that would have been some expensive factory paint.
Was at McLaren HQ couple weeks ago and next to a P1 on display they have a 765LT all clear (no paint) 100% carbon fibre. It is breath-taking. Their paint jobs are AMAZING, all done by hand too.
@@jwalster9412Are you referring to the exposed blue carbon Chiron? The one where the blue carbon fades into the dark blue paint on some of the panels? It rolled out right at the beginning of the Chiron's production cycle.
@@rahulsudhir666 no it was full navy blue CFP if I remember correctly
Hope you didn't end up paying VAT on your parts as you didn't have to as they were for non EU export. All the seller has to do is provide proof the parts left the country (within three months of invoice), the parts should have been zero rated for VAT. If you did pay the VAT make sure you ask for ask for zero rating the next time you export from the UK.
*When they are Car lovers not just car part sellers*
This man is happy to show his accumulated collection and have it be helpful and useful to another enthusiast. HUGE THUMBS UP
It is just amazing how everyone around the world is helping to make this a reality, I did not stop smiling watching the video, we all want to see this car alive again and are rooting for Fred and his team.
Freddy doesn't like your comment
Everyone is really behind this project and want to see it back on the road. So great to see the community coming together to make it happen and its testament to how much Freddy is loved.
Hey man, my 2cts..... you should leave your P1 with the original yellow. It's part of the history of the car and how it became famous!! And it looks great!
I'll say it again, Richard from Challenge the road is criminally under subscribed on TH-cam. Guy knows his cars; has, and drives, some amazing, cool stuff and organises some great little car shows.
He’s also an absolutely lovely guy, he was kind enough to take me out in the P1 last year when he first got it. Really lovely chap!
Freddie, don't forget that any parts that you buy in the UK for export are not subject to VAT. That should save you quite a lot of dosh. Best of luck with the rebuild👍👍
What a place. You lucked out. The guy was great too. The amount of brake disks sitting there was insane. Great video.
Freddy, so glad that you got 2M views on the latest P1 project vid. Definitely much more entertaining than Shmee crossing Europe with a bunch of millionaire show offs! I’m cheering for you every step of this monumental undertaking. Best of luck!!
Shmee the hater of dde 😂
I love it when I see my fellow desi brothers in the automotive world. People don’t realize how much we love to drive and customize our cars.
Hearing Ratnesh saying he wants to see you get your car up and running made me feel good. I am sure he gave you a really good deal. The community wants you to succeed so bad.
I'm 9 mins in and I'm diggin this salesdude's vibe. He's funny.
Good guy to hang out with probably. 😂
Sad he can't be a regular in the TCU (Tavarish Cinematic Universe). 😅
I'd be nervous AF having my stash of incredibly expensive parts shown publicly like this if I were this guy, I hope he has good security because that's a beautiful collection.
Thing, though, is that those parts are extremely illiquid. If you're a burglar, you'd need to convert stolen goods to something you can actually use (e.g., cash). How do you do that? Set up a shop reselling McLaren parts and advertise it to the exact same couple hundred cost-sensitive McLaren owners that your victim is also advertising to?
Long ago I heard that the worst car for theft risk at the time was a Honda Civic. Not expensive parts, at all, but the liquidity for stolen parts was the best. Lots of people will buy a cheap Honda Civic repair part for cash from a shady dealer and try not to think too hard about where the part came from.
This dynamic ultimately protects someone like Ratnesh.
This same dynamic showed up when I was a scientist. It's not hard to get into a research lab and wind up in front of a quarter-million-dollar machine that you could reasonably walk away with. I worked with several such machines over my training. But then what? Super illiquid.
Love your handle by the way - the Mr. Sparkle episode was amazing :D
(Actually remembering now, from my Ph.D. - I remember an incident when a burglar sneaked into a lab building and walked away with some stuff. What did they walk away with? None of the hundreds of millions of dollars of gorgeous specialized scientific equipment. They walked away with office computers.)
@@ramanshah7627 Oh I agree they wouldn't be as easy to sell; it's a bit like thieves who target fine art. He's probably well-protected against a smash-and-grab from some local thieves. But if someone had connection to big money in the Middle East or any sort of international relationship, I can easily see a scenario where the goods would just get moved to a market where you could find unscrupulous buyers. But yes, a P1 steering wheel isn't something your local pawn shop is going to buy.
We don't have crime in the UK.
The parts guy is SO cool...up to his eyeballs in ludicrously expensive parts and he starts using a carbon fiber trim piece like a hockey stick. 🤣
Honestly Tavarish, I've watched countless car rebuilds on TH-cam but right now this is the only one that is "must watch" for me. I want to see this thing perfect again and every new video about your P1 gets an instant click. I love that you're gonna make her custom to you because you don't have to worry about resale value (at least I hope). Also, Supercar Concierge seems like such a great business owner.
I love when Ratnesh tells Freddy that the parts are from dealer’s overstock when they need to make room for new parts, and then Freddy tells us how techs are stealing blemished parts and selling them on the black market and that’s how he gets them. Then Ratnesh reminds Freddy he didn’t say any of that, and he buys overstock parts from dealers when they need to make new inventory. 🤨
Jokes aside love the content Freddy and I support you all the way! We know you’re a nice guy ❤❤❤
so glad you’ve linked up with Ratnesh again, the car community really coming together to help complete this car. Amazing work, loving the videos!
Happy hunting for more parts and great job, bud. Thanks for sharing the journey.
Rarnesh is a damn stud.. I was so stoked you got him as a friend now that wants to see the P1 fixed .. I hope an I'm sure you got a insane deal from him .. the other guys are cool as well they got a super collection of stuff . So good to see you got the parts available to you..all it takes is money lol
Freddys knowledge of all these cars is absolutely amazing being able to identify parts at a glance
Agree. It’s a look into how his mind works, he probably spent a lot of time doing his homework before he purchased the P1
This was such an awesome episode to watch, and love seeing all the parts and Ratnesh's enthusiasm... But I can't be the only one thinking "Today on the most valuable episode of "Hoarders' ever..." lol
Good to see you back Freddie, full force and reenergized hope to see more collaborations with @MatArmstrong your guys vibes and positivity is pure soul food, much love from Cape town South Africa.
Epic! This reminds me of my buddy Bill Warner, he is like Ed and knows EVERYONE and every car (it seems like) he bought a Ghibli spider in Jacksonville that had an Ford V8 swap done. He knew where the original numbers matching engine was (in Ireland as i remember) and was able to work a deal on both after he had stalked them for decades.. He sold it a few years ago at the Concourse but it (and this car) makes such a great story.. If u ever catch up with Bill u should ask him about it...
Hi Freddie, Ratnesh is such a cool guy and it’s typical how resourceful the Brits are when it comes to sourcing and supplying incredibly rare parts that enthusiasts from all over the world can buy. Great episode buddy!
These guys are so ahead of the game. Hats off to them 🙌🏼
It's awesome to see the entire Car community come together to help get this done. It's a brilliant project and love you passion and enthusiasm to get this done Freddy. Onwards and upwards good sir
I like the parts wizard. He has good vibes. Like a guy who figured out the game and just wants to help new players.
It makes me happy to see people so eager to help you make your project a reality.
Freddie, because you're taking those parts out of the UK, you shouldn't be paying vat on them. Sales tax in your state would apply at customs but the UK vat doesn't. I sell headers all over the world and customers outside the UK don't pay uk vat. Rarnesh should have an EORI number which will facilitate this with HMRC.
Anyway, keep up the great videos sir!
Freddy you need to give Ratnesh a ride when its running, he seems like a guy that's good to know and would enjoy it immensely
Getting strong "kid in a candy store" vibes from Freddy there :D I'm frankly impressed how he can recognize most of these random parts and which cars they belong to, sign of a real passion!
TBH I'm struggling to appreciate the desire to own a P1 after watching all of this!
You really do need to be too rich to care!! And ridiculously patient!!!
Wow, I think you found a source that can really help you get at least 70% of your car back to one piece.. I know the battery is like the main thing and programming but run with it and see how far you can build it back! This is starting to look good! Relationships are everything!
Hugs not drugs.
@@Make-Asylums-Great-Again hugs and drugs
i think he's getting the battery from Hamilton collection p1
Drugs then hugs
I'm very excited to see the new parts. Getting them installed will transform the look and value. Very cool UK trip. Thank you.
Best build ever on TH-cam.
Glad you found some parts in the UK, looking forward to seeing it back together.

Such a graceful sound when the guy closes the door
Been AWSOME seeing you post a bunch of Videos again Freddy! 👌👌 Love this series..
Glad to see the community helping out in rebuilding the P1.
P1 content going to hit trending again. Go Freddy Go 👍
Love both chanels, good work, glad that your getting help to put the P1 back together.
Impressed with the Wowos T shirt......those guys make some pretty epic detailing products
What a class act Ratnesh is.
Ratnesh is a legend. Top fella for helping and wanting you to get yours back on the road.
This is great Freddie, you have managed to find a lot of what you need and while still incredibly expensive has to be cheaper than from McLaren.
Nice to see the UK trying to help you out 😁🇬🇧
All these McLaren P1's are like candy. I love sweets! A good movie
Ratnesh seems like a proper boy. Really good guy.
Ratnesh is one of the heros that dont wear capes. ❤
I love how chaotic his little warehouse is. Hundreds of thousands of dollars just piled up in a closet.
Analyze the frames, Freddie! I kid, good luck with the build, it's gonna be a great machine.
that purple carbon p1 is stunning
That guy is a legend… glad to see you getting there
Hi Freddie, i'm in the Uk, never knew these other guys existed - great insight into Hypercar ownership and the real cost of owning them. Brilliant as aslways fella!
Loved this video! Great to see behind what's on your other channel. I definitely see what your saying about the lines on the purple p1. But I love the spec of the gray one with the orange to the back left! Ah, to have your choices to make. Lol😂
Not sure if you ended up paying for the parts already inc VAT, if it was even the intention to charge you VAT or if you were just showing prices inc VAT for demonstration purposes, but you do not need to pay UK VAT if the goods are being consumed outside of the UK i.e you are taking them to the US. Hopefully this helps if you see it and were unaware.
Tavarish already cataloguing all the available Pagani parts while patiently waiting for a natural disaster.
He jacked so many of these parts 😂. I worked at dealerships, and they don't get rid of brand new rotors, especially worth 10k each 😂
Cant wait to see you drive this thing, it'll be awesome 🔥
Freddie I'm so happy these guys are willing to help you get your car back on the road!
The second channel is a goldmine of awesomeness
You have the freedom to do some customizing. P1 LeMans longtail!
I don’t usually leave TH-cam comments but I am so happy for you…you found your passion and it’s making way for you..never let anyone sway you…keep on going brother…where there’s a will there’s a way
I have faith you'll find what you need Freddy & complete that beautiful ride 🙆🚘🎬✨️👏👏👍💯💯💯 Salute 😎
Damn the pagani front end got me. Who has that kickin around
That purple P1 is stunning incredible video can’t wait to you get your done.
Dude, you have an insane amount of knowledge when it comes to McLaren cars.
At some point Ratnesh can just build his own McLaren Frankenstein's monster out of the whole thing.
Great project! One thing I've only heard mentioned once, as far as parts go, is REPAIR. Have you researched carbon repair specialists to see what that might Entel? There are sources in aviation and racing that might be benefical. Keep on keepin on!
Freddy I love the idea of a second channel and seeing more content but please don't repost the same content that we already saw on the main channel! The second half of the video was stuff we already saw.
Awesome!!!
I love seeing how exited Freddy is about this stuff.
Great solution from V engineering and the fellow owner of the purple p1 nice lads and i think you are on your way...at least cosmetically speaking and large parts...the interesting aspect will be internal all the wires and electrical...no faulty light and error codes etc
Happy you getting all the parts required for your project
what a cool bunch of guys!!
This guys the man shot for helping tarvarish out this car guna b legendary when done
Love the car communities all wanted to help you with this crazy project!!! That's what we love to see!!
What a great video, it really looks like the Yellow Submarine has a great future ahead back on the roads. And who thought there would be a Aladdin's cave just for P1s, you just have to love high end hoarders.
That Pagani front end is utterly gorgeous!
It would've been great if one of those guys had a full P1 wiring harness
I love how a British guys are helping Tavarish get his dream off the ground.
Freddy what's up, hope your doing great with the build, we are excited as you😊 as the videos posted I'll be tuned in.
Welcome to the UK man - looks like it was a fruitful visit. :)
You absolute legend, loving everything you do, keep it up!
Super cool , so excited to see the progress with this build 👍😎🙂
Love from india Tvarish I really shocked that there is an indian origin man who is engaged with your P1 project that's soothing 😊😊😊😊
Its like Freddie got a Golden Ticket to the Mclaren Factory of parts!! He's like a kid in a sweet shop.👍
cheers Freddy for helping fix UK potholes 😂 this feels like main channel content! amazing to see behind the scenes!
What I find amazing is how Sam is having a nightmare with his Aston Martin and how McLaren (and their shops/dealers/etc) are more than happy to see their cars made right and on the road again.
Freddy’s a McLaren expert! Not many people could see a room full of parts and know what they are and which model they’re for!!
Tavarish building the iconic flooded P1 will be remembered for generations‼️🙇♂️💫
Ratnesh definitely passes the vibe check.
Thank you for uploading these
25:40, don’t forget to analyze all the clips Freddie 😂
Hope you get it on the road bud! getting closer!
btw I spied a Lambo Miura in the back ground! love those
