It's pretty... but as someone who really puts these foldables through their paces in a lot of use cases every single day... I gotta know about a whole lot more than just pretty...
... thickness, width and crease visibility are impressive on the surface, but when we get to the nitty gritty of actually using a foldable as a daily driver... there's so much that can invalidate this for me even if it's got thickness, width and crease visibility nailed down. Nothing I've seen so far lets me know:
    • If it'll have per app aspect ratio controls
    • If it's multi-tasking is anywhere near as polished, versatile and quick as Samsung's
    • If it'll have an option like Samsung Labs does where I can force portrait apps to work in landscape
    • If it'll allow me to force un-supported apps into split-screen/multiwindow
    • If I'll be able to summon a pop-up window anywhere near as quickly as Samsung does
    • If I'll be able to force ANY AND ALL apps/games (supported and non-supported) to wrap around that punch hole since they didn't use UDC
    • If It'll have reverse wireless charging
    • If it'll have wireless charging at all
    • If it'll have video over USB
    • If it'll have a DeX equivalent that can match or surpass DeX capabilities
    • If it'll give me the ability to record 120fps (not slomo!) video
    • If it'll have an IP rating of at least IPX8
I like that it allows stylus input on both display though, that's one box for sure that neither Z Fold 3 or Z Fold 4 check... and SD8G2 means that it'll still support all my 32bit apps/games.
I'm sure I've already aggravated the people who just blindly give the win to any foldable that has a wider cover display than Z Folds do... but I'm not loyal to Samsung. Not one bit... Samsung just happens to give me the absolute best software experience I've had on a foldable. If this can manage to be impressive in more than just the surface level stuff like thickness, width and crease visibility... my Z Fold 4 might be sold towards importing this instead of a Z Fold 5.

As a samsung user/fanboy for several years now and currently using the fold 3. This is the kind of phone that will make me shift from samsung. The fold 3++ or rather the fold 5 is just roughly the same as the fold3(if leaks are right), I think it's fine for the fold 4 to be the same but 2 models and it's still the same. It could even be called roughly the same design as the fold 2. Now my only concern here is durability.

My Lord. What a beast of mobile phone. I have the Vs1 and I love it. One only inconvenient I find on the Vs 1 is the weight. But now they are reducing 30gr on the new Vs2. So, all in all, I think it will be the la cream the la cream! Id love to have one too!! Dan xx

Yet to see anyone come up with some reasons why this is better than a regular phone + tablet.
The main worse reason for using this setup is you can't watch a movie and use your phone at the same time without some serious screen real estate compromise.
But you can do exactly that with phone + tablet a whole lot better.

Now we need to see if it's software and increased physical battery can take advantage of that great form factor. Showing Samsung how its done on the hardware side so far though.

Can't wait for JerryRigEverything to get his hands on this.
So far no foldable released has matched the durability of Samsung's Flip/Fold line.
That matters when you're spending how much these phones cost.

I'd love one of these, but I'm never going to pay more than 1K USD for a phone. When this tech is mature in a few years and there are more midrange and/or used options I may grab one.

This is exceptional. True innovation in every aspect of the phone down even to the battery. This is what people want from Samsung. And they could do it to, they are the one of the largest companies in the world. So happy that this is releasing globally. I hope its the kick in the butt samsung needs to wake up and do SOMETHING.
