Excellent review (one of the best i’ve seen 👌🏼). I’m the guy that has been into iPhone more than 10 years, but i’m tired of it : i’m gonna get my Magic V3 in a few days and i CAN’T WAIT !!! ❤❤❤
Great review! What I want to know is will the global version work with Samsung Wearable app? I've just bought a galaxy ring and Watch Ultra so if I upgrade to the V3 will they work with it? Thanks
if i wanna compare with honor magic v2, it's almost the same..that one had 5000 mah vs 5150 mah on v3...it's the same eveen though capacity is slightly higher because the chipset is more powerful. if its galaxy, it's definitely longer, i can go home with average 40% ish battery left in the tank
Looking forward for more good content from you to watch. The preorder started just here in Germany. Price 1999 Euro. At start you get 300 Euro Discount and a free wireless Charger,Brick etc. Do you think it's a good offer? I would like to test it but am a bit afraid of the software and durability 😮. I used a z fold 4 and just tested the 6 . But was disappointed by the minimal changes. I use a S24u as my major phone. The honor is like holding the future of folds in your hands ..🎉
@@tomtinglyakatomtecnerd ja, the Honor is more durable than fold, but the software is not as visually done nicely compared to fold, but that can be changed by update
@@tomtinglyakatomtecnerd when you reach this leve lof price and tier, there's hardly going to be a price drop, not for at least a year, so it's going to be a great deal now.
Solid review! It would be great if Honor allowed completely separate front and interior screen setups. I am really enjoying this phone though. Absolutely satisfied with my choice so far. I get lots of questions about it here in the U.S.
Nice review! do we need screen protector on the inner screen? Am thinking of getting this as my first foldable and first android for years. Confident about the hardware but am slightly worried about the software coming from iPhone
I was thinking of getting it and upgrading from the V2 solely for the fact of the wireless charging and the IP rating... but unfortunately the software is still so so and not that much of an improvement from the V2, I'll wait to the V4 comes out and hopefully the Snapdragon and the OS system will prove to be a significant change/upgrade🤔
If you were to choose between Magic v3 and Oneplus Open/Oppo Find N3, which would be the one ? I see loads of videos comparing the magic v3 against the galaxy fold6, but none against the OnePlus open
Thanks for the honest take on gaming. Lot of reviewers gloss over the lesser thermal management that foldable usually have compared to slab phones. I’m a one plus open owner.
I am more concern on the inner screen long term reliability. I had used the Honor Mgic VS and the screen cracked 2 times in 6 months. Would like to hear your thoughts.
Great and complete review. Thanks!. I have ordered. Coming from fold2. Yes, sofware is the weaker point, but there are worst fold OS (Xiami and Goolge) and Honor has improved a lot on lasts OS versions. Furthermore Honor is pushing a lot their software and MagicOS 9 with AI assistant seems to be a great upgrade.
Looks great! I am tempted by the Honor Magic V3, but it is difficult to jump out of the Apple ecosystem. I would then need an Honor tablet and laptop, and my Apple of those is less than a year old and cost too much...
I love the v3 with the leather cover which looks more premium. But kind of worried abt its sustainability and whether the leather will tear easily over time
One big disappointment for me was a relatively low ppi in both screens (not flagship level). I expected it to be at least 450+ like in magic honor 6 pro
do you think it could be an alternative to iphone+ipad mini? I need to have a small tablet like the ipad mini and a phone that is not too big, this would be all in one. I need it to make sketches on the fly with a drawing app. Thanks and bye from Italy
Ciao bello! It can be an all in one due to the size and pen support, as long as you can charge the phone up with a powerbank because using pen and foldable together usually consumes power faster !
@@ZenTheGeek thanks! luckily it's a smartphone with a good battery, I definitely think it will last longer than other smartphones. I'll use the pen at work, when I can I always have a socket where I can charge it quickly.
@@ZenTheGeek Good, cause couldn't find any Honor device in the Android Enterprise Recommended list, although I was made to understand that most devices are Android Enterprise compatible, unless it's a China only device. I am trying to get this Magic v3 for personal use as well as BYOD by linking to Android EMM provider like VMware for me to access work profile eg Outlook, Teams, etc. I had a Lenovo that didn't work but I do believe it's because it's a China only device - Lenovo Legion Y700.
Good review, the vivo beats it slightly, but it costs alot more and harder to get hold of. What impresses me the most is the durability of the v3, the test by gsmarena is unbelievable. The honor v2 had a fragile screen in my opinion so looking forward to getting this on a few days.
I have abused the hell out of the screens on my V2... never had any issues, considering the screen specs are virtually the same as the V3... only the hinge was upgraded
Indeed the vivo x pro 3 fold. Sold it. Loved the phone but the ir blaster was weak and most importantly the camera DID NOT HAVE DUAL PREVIEW mode where the subject can see themselves and pose. The vivo doesn't have any helpful ai features
Yeah, like you need to turn off the Dual screen layout which is on by default. Once you turn it off.... I do wish they would make everything fit a bit nicer.... but what I absolutely love over Samsung's Fold is that it allows me to mirror the front screen... it was a drag in the Fold to keep both screens managed seperately and I personally prefer to have the oute screen replocate on inner screen. They need to make it less clunky as you say but I appreciate the challenges Honor has. I think Honor should provide a third option where you can have independant screens also, like Samsung's, so that people who prefer this setting can use it.
What stopped me buying was the fact that Chinese version gets 16gb Ram/Global only gets 12gb. And two other things, global version comes with No Charger, plus alot of people wanted this phone for the Stylus part that works on both screens. The Stylus pen is £75 to buy (some people got the early deal with stylus included) but I've also found out that the global version has a lot less functionality when using the stylus then the Chinese version...As always global 'Pay more, get less'..
Software is horrible horrible horrible. Hinge is bad and flimsy, breaks very easily. Ask anyone who had this for more than 3 weeks. Unfortunately Chinese software is so bad it's sad.

How is the sound quality coming out from this phone. Overall very good presentation bro....I am glad i already place an order for this phone.
Thank you my friend!
Just got mine yesterday over the Pixel Pro 9 fold and it was a great choice. The size, and as my 1st foldable i am still learning!!!
Hows the battery on this relative to the previous foldable you were using?

Is the camera nice? I currently have a iPhone 15 pro max and just received the magic v3 but did not open it yet as I am tempted to return it.
camera is pretty decent actually, almost comparable to the likes of magic 6 pro. Why do you want to return it though?
@@ZenTheGeek mostly concerned that I won’t be satisfied with the camera. However maybe this could entice me to use my Nikon more.
Moving to this phone from Apple and I'm both excited and scared because I hear magic OS is flakey. That true? How would you guys compare that to iOS?

How is the software. Does it have a lot of bloatware?
excellent review. thank you.
Is it better than the galaxy z6 fold?
only in camera and charging speed. Software and performance is still Z Fold 6 dominant
How you size the calendar
I love the v3 with the leather cover which looks more premium. But kind of worried abt its sustainability and whether the leather will tear easily over time
It depends. It'll last longer if you put on the case, or simply don't let it get exposed to moisture too long , like getting it wet
Why does it stress me out when I see you putting a caseless phone on concrete, yet when I see it in a washing machine I think "wow, that's cool"
Ah yes, Selective Situational Stress HAHAHAHA
