I think the missions in this game are absurdly over complained about. Even the final trilogy is not some Soulslike feat of difficulty, as much as everyone complains that it is. The races, on the other hand, are absolute torture. Milhouse’s are fine since it’s against the clock, but Ralph and Nelson’s where there are other cars is hell. You have to be SO exact and SO precise every step of the way and never once falter or mess up, because then it becomes impossible to win. One of the cars is always the next player vehicle, so it’s always a star ahead of you stats wise, which you can’t match with any cars on your level. So your only choices are to either get it EXACTLY right, which is a completely miserable experience, or come back later with better cars - which you’re obviously not supposed to do. The fact that these aren’t complained about more is beyond me, it’s just evidence that basically no one plays them.
As someone who recently played this game again, I do kinda agree. Then again, I played this game so much in my youth, that nowadays, I can pretty much blitz through every mission (it's really just Set To Kill that still gives me trouble, and even then it only takes me a handful of tries). And as for the street races, only one I really found to be a nightmare was that one on Marge's level where you have to race the Hover Car (Fuck you Professor Frink).
“That (kicking Marge) is what everyone does first, right?” Including Matt Groening. 😂 Apparently when they first showed him the game, his instinct was the same as everyone else’s and that was the thing he did before anything else. 🤣
I can see the missions getting tedious when doing them all back to back, however, a good way to avoid that can be just drive around and walk around collecting stuff for a bit, or do the bonus mission, then back to the main missions, with the gags, characters and collectables the maps have that simpsons charm that makes the game worth playing imo, that you just miss for the most part if you only do the main missions
@TheGirlNoob there's always next time if you decide to eventually go back to it, and you can also return to the first level by clicking mission select on the menu and choosing any of the first level if you wanna explore it, then you do the same with a bart mission to return to level 2
This game is just a reskin of Driver 2. Same type of driving missions and lacklustre on foot segments but now with a collectathon aspect. I however, like Driver 1 and 2 even though it's all just driving because it's pure chaos and has nice physics. This game is alright but yeah, not one I go back to.
Simpsons Hit and Run was ALWAYS boring, barely any story and you just... go from A to B, B to C... eh :s "The simpsons game" on the other hand! I recommend c:

If I was to ever play this again, I would NEVER touch a single side race again.
@@TheGirlNoob More than fair 🤣

Nice video, as always.
I barely remember this game. And I don't think I ever finished too. My younger brother was a fan through.
Thank you so much for your support! 😄 But did anyone actually beat it? It gets so hard later...

I mean... how could you resist? 😂
Kicking the citizens of Springfield is what makes this game!

I think because I was recording my brain was too focused on making progress. I wish I had just explored a bit now.

You're really good at driving
Thanks, you're really good at commenting.

I've never played the Driver games. I'm not really a car person! I only played Simpsons when I was a kid because it was the Simpsons.
this game is so goofy i love it
It is goofy! But also kinda boring 😅

It's so weird as a kid that I never noticed that all you do is just drive. I don't think I'd ever want to play this again 😅
