Today we take a look at Jaguar F Pace I bought form auction because I thought it looked such good value! Will it being a 'Luxury' model with a manual gearbox hurt its resale chances?

Had several F Pace. The 3 litre 6 cylinder diesel is excellent. Ignore all the TH-cam know alls who slag off the Ingenium engines. Look after them and change the oil far more regularly than Jaguar recommends and they’re fine. Never seen a manual one - seems wrong for a car like that!
I now have an SVR. You should try one of those!!! 575BHP what a beautiful car. Totally bonkers, but who cares!
Now Jaguar have effectively ceased to exist, there should be a lot of bargains in the next year or so.
The problem is, buying second hand, you don’t know how well it has been looked after.
Brave man buying one of those. Neighbour just got rid of his 18 plate 80k mileage one . Same engine.
There’s a lot to be said for slightly leggy “low” spec versions of in demand cars, they look great value compared to the more desirable versions, and there’s *always* a market for that sort of thing from the champagne taste - lemonade money brigade…
From what I heard apparently (I might be wrong) they made the engines different in manual and auto although the same engine and apparently the reliability is a lot worse in the manual. I brought a Jaguar XE 104k 2016 for 4k back end of last year and sold within 6 days for 6k and the bloke has to replace a turbo within 3 weeks of owning it! It was the same 2.0 diesel manual. All the best n hopefully no warranty claims on it as everything is bloody expensive on it when they do go wrong!
Joe you have massive cajones mate. I salute you for taking on all these JLR products. Garage is looking very prestige these days… I like it !
💯… fortune favours the brave !
@@MaxMax-th7uzcertainly does mate.
Love the content, please do more auction videos including bidding etc
I really enjoy watching the collection, and prep videos.
Great video Joe❤.
Love the small wheels and huge tyre sidewalls!
That seat wasn’t the best advert for quality vehicles from the auction 😂
Yeah it sounded a little bit ruff 😮
I had an xf 2.0 ingenium diesel. Bought it New in 2016 , traded in at 180k in 2022. Great engine, you must service them no more than every 10-12k . Ignore the JLR 20k/2yr service interval. We drove to southern Italy 4 x years with 4 on board fully loaded, the car didn't miss a beat. My only expense was servicing and consumables, oh and a chain & water pump change at 150k. If you service them regularly and drive mainly motorway/A road, then they're a great engine. I think the issues arise when they're serviced at the 2yr/20k mark and when not used for longer journeys 👍
Love the F Pace - looks good and sold bloody quickly.
I agree with the comments before. I wouldn’t touch a JLR car with that 2 ltd engine. Especially knowing that the intended purchaser is just awaiting finance. I bet it’ll be one of those boomerang cars.
Your Auction video’s are what I look forward to the most. Kindest regards🇨🇦🇨🇦
Another entertaining video Joe, thanks.
"Like a spoon in a bowl of rice pudding" - is that the expression you were looking for to describe the gear stick?😀
Range Rover Velar is on same platform to F pace.
Yep - Velar is an F-Pace in a posh frock. They are made on the same line.
your videos are really majestic, this video made my day💞💞💞
Do like the F Pace if I was having an SUV. Timimg chain is a 2k job I believe- it is located between the engine and gearbox which has to be removed to change the thing - wonder who thought that was a good idea!
Design of the timing gear was improved for MY20, so *should* not be an issue on cars built since then. They are nice - I had one for three years and 40k miles.
Nice car quick turn around..good job
Will look nice on the drive and for polishing at the weekend. And a weekend trip to the pub .
See loads of non Fords with Genuine Ford batteries now because they were crazy cheap especially last year
I didn't even know these came in a manual thats a revelation 😮thats insanely good value at 13k a lot of car for rhe money. They look quite smart too although if i was buying one my pick would be the 3.0L
Oh Google makes people instant experts on everything 😂🙆
Great video yet again 👌👌
Hi Joe !
More please of videos that show the whole process of sourcing your motor cars, getting them back to your site, Berrow Motors 👍 & then the process of preparation for resale . . . I enjoy them !
N.B. I enjoy 😀 watching all of your video output on TH-cam 👍 !
A+ Real(ly) BIG Thank You to ALL of You involved in the process, yourself, Joe, Toby ( Camera/Video ) & Sophie ( 'Minder' : 'Er Indoors, & Better Half, Other Half, Cockney Rhyming Slang of Trouble & Strife 😉🤭😂etc. ! ) Wife . . . having watched the video where your lovely wife cost you some pounds 💷 due to the errors in buying a few older cars which needed money spent on them to fix them up . . . EVERYBODY can make mistakes ! 'LIFE is an Education !' . . . Learn from your mistakes or that of other people, move on, put it down to experience & try not to repeat negative mistakes in the future !
I would love to see more of Sophie's efforts & endeavours, because my own personal experience of buying, owning driving motor cars has always been of the cheaper end of the 'Bargain Bangers' Secondhand Car 🚘 Market back in my younger days in the late 1980s / early 1990s & then the early 2000s . . .
. . . I now drive a Motability Vehicle on behalf of my ( 'Trouble & Strife' ) Wife ♿ as I have a full Driving Licence, alongside my other responsibilities as Househusband/Unpaid Carer !
All the Best to You, Your Wife & Your Staff👍!
Cheers to You, Joe !
Roger.
Absolutely fair play for the deals you do ! I would be shit scared to buy the cars you go for .. those range rovers this jag ! You just bowl in chilled as ice 👍👍👍👍
Great content again mate always good to get varied input
If its not had a chain (gearbox side, big job) it's deffo on borrowed time at that miles, trouble is, as you know, if sold on finance your liable for more or less ever. A friend of mines went at 48k,dealer didn't want to know, they did the old rejection on finance trick (8 mths) and got out of it, we had one last year, slightly noisy chain, limp mode, managed to sell on e Bay to a guy with a small garage, we blew about 2k as I remember, I'd deffo not buy anything with that engine, OK people say more regular oil changes, but you can't retro do that. Good on fuel tho and cheap, or free tax on some.
Really enjoying the varied content, and after High Peak had Mike Brewer on the channel will you be going for Jay Leno?!
Nice quick flip joe😊
Great video as always.
check you out Joe you have made it to the big sponsors 🙌🧡💛. keep up the good work watched all your back catalogue since finding you guys on here. Everyone follow the channel ive been waiting ages for that Tag watch and we are getting so close 😁😁
Manual, High Mileage, 2.0 Ingenium Jaguar, that's a lot of red flags....
Hence the cheap price. Be OK for a couple of years maybe
@@andrewwaller5913 I heard the word finance and cringed at the return in 7 months with engine failure issues 🤣
It's the low mileage ones you watch out for... failed DPF regen, diesel fuel mixes with oil diluting it and hey presto, broken
MANUAL !!!! Urgh.
You realize that by making that comment a majority of the responses are going to be from people who claim that they are similar vehicles that have gone a million miles with only an occasional oil change and windshield washer fluid top-up and have never had so much as an MOT advisory.
They'll go on to claim that Jaguar and Range Rover are equal or superior to Lexus and Toyota for reliability and durability!
Brave man with this one my friend. Mine disposed of its engine within 3 weeks of purchase. Returned for a full refund. Fantastic car but very very risky. I would never risk another one. It was on 68k
Hi Joe and gang. Nice steady video. Chilled out with a cuppa.
More of this please !
That first car sounded like self destruction mode had been entered. Not yours, the tapping grey one
I had a Seat Cupra 2015 where the oil pump failed on 25k after a major service and sounded exactly like that one at the start of your video. Apparently it was a known issue on the 2ltr engine.
Nice one well done Joe
Got one MHEV. Lovely car.
Wow Joe last week construction new company and this week a chief for hello fresh keep it up son ! O jag looks nice to 😮
Only let down is the manual box - the rest is a good car really. I had a 2.0 Velar HSE for 5 years, had some issues but always was provided excellent hire cars, never paid for any faults
4:00 It sounds like a bag of spanners.
@@Mariazellerbahn you’d know me old mate
I think the mpg can be a lot better with a manual. I know it was when we had disco sports
Timing chains are a major issue and cost £2000 to replace.
Nice motor
If you're 60 and don't want a car to last long lol
Hello Fresh Ambassador
🤣
The Jamie Oliver of Burnham
That's me! I love a turkey twizzler though 😂
@@ShiftingMetal you’re a garlic mayo and chilli sauce man I reckon
Kadjar is a Renault Joe, Skoda Kodiaq 👍
skoda kadjar? whats one of those
Joe should have bought a 3,0d cayenne
Good video . Great value car . Don't really need the food advert .
Don’t you just love BCA discoveries!!
Discovering hidden damage once you e bought it.
I’ve sent many vehicles back because of it 😂
Hi Joe. Nice looking, Jaguar. I don't know if I would pay 10k for it though. But good luck buddy with it lol 😆 💯🥰🇮🇪
Great video a lot of suv for the money
Agricultural was the description you were looking for .
You said you were going to do a vehicle check on it?
BETTER QUALITY CARS SHOULD BRING IN BETTER QUALITY CUSTOMERS( WHATS UR THOUGHTS JOE ?)
words of the day ... just gota HOPE it looks alright and sounds alright !u must have a big pair of cahoners to spend 10k on a car u haven't heard or drove . Gamble big to win big Joe ! Since I've been watching u ur stock has just got better and better , big up the V8's in stock
Nice.
they look like nice cars relaibility is a bit on the level of range rover
No air suspension so that's a bonus. Pre 2019 2 litre ingeniums can suffer from stretched timing chains, like quite a few other well known brands, especially if oil is only changed every 20000 miles. Use premium fuel and avoid school run use and they are a very good engine. I have run one for several years with no issues. Parts are widely available and are reasonably priced so that's a plus too.
@@fraser7744Spot on. My wife has had 2 and covered 120.000 trouble fee miles. Decent quality fuel and annual oil changes are key
Looks lovely but too scared to buy. My daughter who is engineer loves these and evoques.
KERCHING💰💰💰lovely jubilee 👍
The three litre diesel engine is way better and more suited to this size of vehicle. With 300 bhp and 700Nm of torque, it pulls like a train.
Nice chunk of profit
Had a jag xf 2010, after near 4k in maintenance over 18 months i sold it, made out of wet pasta... no more JLR for me...
Skoda Kadjar 🤣 pished myself
The 3 litre is now an Ingenium straight 6 (bad)...used to be the old SDV6 (good)...the infotainment system is buggy...same on all new JLRs.....and Renault make the Kadjar...not Skoda.....jus' sayin'.....🤘🏍🏴☠
Tata own jaguar
THIS 75K IS PAINFULLY SLOW, COME ON IT'S FREE TO SUBSCRIBE!!! AND HE'S AN "ALRIGHT GEEZER" 🤪
Blimey Hello Fresh - eeeek - they ripped me off with a delivery when i moved. Product is OK, but rigid process. Hope they're paying you well. Not a great look Joe, but what do I know, I'm just your biggest fan lol [typed as if we were chatting in the pub, no anger]
That's a shame, I've always enjoyed using them! And thanks!
Auto would be better - loved my F pace
2.0D are Shite , 3.0D V6 diese arel all good
They aren't much better they break crankshafts
I’d never buy a supposed luxury car that’s a manual, has to be auto
Lets be honest if its jaguar or land rover its built with paper haha
Video posted 2mins ago. It’s 15mins long but it made your day?! Nonsense.
Videos are anyways great though. Keep up the good work guys.
Unusual to see a bot commenting who hasn’t an ass on show
My Audi a6 c6 Avant 3.0 tdi.270.0000 miles drives like new. Oil and filters changed regularly
JLR That’s the biggest red flag off all 😂
Plus it’s a Jaguar which will break you
Why tf would you do that
Who finances a 12 grand car?
why people bother without 3L engine, waste of time and shows that they don't have a slightest clue
Great car buts it’s not a v8😂, soon be called SUV world .
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The turbo blows on these if the oil in not change more frequently than Jag recommends AND you don't disable start stop. I should know, first turbo blew at 56k, second one grenaded the engine at 65k. New engine courtesy of Jag, but I will be getting rid of it before years end. If you have one of these, an extended warranty is a must.
I can see this guys buisness going down the pan in a few years
Ha, thanks
👍🏻👌🏻
Manual 😂😂😂😂
You're easily amused 😂
Less of the derogatory Isuzu comments please, however accurate they may be 😃
@@ravydavy66 😂
What's mccauley doin staying in car trade or different
It’s a crap engine with crap mileage. A suckers car.
1) That was an awful integration of a sponsor
2) I thought you preach Vehicle Score so how come you didn’t show the check on this vid whilst you do on other vids…I wonder 🤔😭
Because we were scheduled to do HelloFresh that day and we can’t do 2 sponsors in one video, pretty simple
@@ShiftingMetal so you can’t do a vehicle score check unless they’re a sponsor… that quite literally proves my point that you preach it for one reason and one reason only 💰
Jaguars in general are crap
half a tank of petrol or more is a bad sign IMO, means they sold the car at short notice/unexpectedly
most of us would run down the tank if we knew we were selling
Not really, if you getting 10k for the car £40 in fuel is irrelevant.
@@andrewwaller5913 completely missing the point
Not everyone is that tight! 😂
@@daveffs2991 Not at all, they probably didn't even check the fuel. You're talking like it's been repossessed overnight at 6am ! 🤣
@@ShiftingMetal would you stick 60 quid in your tank knowing you were selling the car in a couple of days?
what a good buy but prefer my vw golf r estate 7.5 with the dsg gearbox and 4wd . what more can a person ask for. by the way if i won anything on feelgoodcompetitions i want the proceeds to go to jack , thank you
