Hope you enjoy the first of many edited Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Videos! Yes I am already planning an updated timeline video this year ;)
We Need A Prequel To This Game To Find Out How Zelda Got Nabbed By Ganon
*I LOVE Zelda. I LOVE the remake of Link's Awakening. I even love the idea of playing as Zelda. But I wish we had real weapons to fight bad guys. Throwing a table or a boulder at bad guys seems like a potentially bad idea. If you don't pull up the menu and select something effective quick enough.... you take damage.*
Yes we are. Thanks! So excited for this game!
Sea Zoras and River Zoras appeared together in Oracle of Seasons
Zelda: “…So I said to Aonuma, if Peach could get her own game, then why couldn’t I? (Wand of Gamelon appears) NOT _THAT_ ONE!!!”
Aonuma: Well excuuuuuuuuuse me, Princess! 😂
(Zelda’s Adventure appears)
“THAT’S EVEN WORSE!!!”
I’m glad to see that both Peach and Zelda have received their own games. And in the same year no less! 😍
@@juanluismendoza8655 Peach actually had her first game back in the DS era
Nintendo has really fallen in love with letting players use the environment in Zelda games.
Link’s disappearance to another dimension after freeing his princess had a cool parallel to Zelda’s fall before sent back in time in Tears of the Kingdom.
Since Zelda wields the Tri Rod, I hope Nintendo hasn’t forgotten her trusted weapon- The Bow of Light.
I was irritated about that. She is a magic-wielder AND an archer. So, why is she limited to throwing stuff at enemies.
@@asmongoldsmouth9839 There were a few shots in the trailer where we can see the wand equipped on the Right DPad button. 2:47 in this video
Maybe we'll have some other means of attacking on the other DPad buttons?
@asmongoldsmouth9839 it was a let down to find out she limited to just a staff that copies objects this games screams just a puzzle game that really doesn't have weapon to use to fight back anything
@@CerealMilkDVD they never said that she would get no other items. Saying this is like saying link will only get one item in a Zelda game because he's only shown with a sword in the first trailer. She will get other stuff too, this trailer only showed early game content
@@gaaargehazard2501 Yeah it shows a DPad just like the one in BoTW and ToTK. So it's either that their is multiple magic types like runes in the last two games. Or other types of weapons.
Link looks like he’s holding a zonai bow from TotK when he’s falling in the beginning
The Deku Scrub race is back, the older designs of Lizalfos are back, PLAYABLE ZELDA!?!?!? I need this game now
The presence of the Gerudo is also a first for the downfall timeline as well. Makes me wonder if this comes after Adventure of Link
I reckon it takes place after Link’s Awakening remake. More likely.
I thought the whole point of TotK was to reboot the franchise so Eiji Aounuma wasn’t constricted to the Hyrule Historia and didn’t have to think about the timeline when he was making the game?? If the story of TotK is anything to go by, they made this game disregarding the established timeline lore
Not at all. If the new TOTK Lore Book makes a point of marketing a new up-to-date Timeline, its definitely still relevant. In a land that doesnt seem likely to be a construct of the Triforce (looking at OoX), we finally see that the River Zora and Sea Zora can coexist in Hyrule as distinct species. The Deku Tree is around instead of the Maku Trees, which further lends credence to the game not being a vision or dream. The Sheikah are ninja-like, the Gerudo have pointed ears, there's some traces of modernized technology, and some weird ruins are dotted throughout Hyrule. While I would say that this game takes place in the Downfall Timeline, I'm almost tempted to say that what's more important is that it seems to take place later than any of the other games in the Era of Myth.
THIS is the future of Zelda, innovation not replication
*Things I noticed:*
- Twilight princess bomb fish?
- Faron rainforest Region?
- Impa jumping around, has sheikah symbol on back
- TWO DIFFERENT ZORA RACES??? Just like how in TOTK had mentioned different Zora tribes
- Business Scrub has Deku sticks in a pot
- Electric Jellyfish return
- Some of the machines found in the land, such as the wind blower, looks a lot like Zonai tech
- Beach area in Hyrule, with stone foundations
- Water temple?
- fire spreads like in recent games
- heart pieces are back
- Structure and building on the left side of the promotional art looks extremely similar to the mills and architecture in Hateno village
Wild prediction:
- The old man is Robbie. He has sheikah tech in his room. The big robot in the cornor looks like Cherry, the robot.
Known Races:
- Hylian
- Sheikah
- Gerudo
- River and Sea Zora
- Deku Scrubs
- Korok (The Great Deku Tree is technically a Koro as seen in TOTK's character log)
Locations
- Volcano (maybe Death Mountain)
- Gerudo Desert
- Lost Woods
- Jungle Region (Maybe Faron Woods)
- Snowy Region
- Unnamed Lake (Maybe Lake Hylia?)
- Hyrule Castle and surrounding fields
- Kakariko Village
- Other Dimension
The non-volcano mountain appears to have Spectacle Rock, which was located on Mount Hebra in Triforce of the Gods.
Snowy Region is likely Hebra or Lanayru
Stolen Away Dimension might be Lorule??
Did you notice Zelda wearing Link’s hood? This will be a major win for the Zelink nation!
It's all sail ahead until she gets to see Paya's birthmark herself lol.
@@michaellane5381 Paya is no longer flustered about nor into Link. She is with Tauro. Plus, she said she is ok with Link being with Zelda since they shared a mutual relationship.

@@michaellane5381 Give Zelda the harem of *skanky knights she deserves.
I can’t wait for the Zelda community to go from hype beast, to playing this game every day for three months, to then pretending like it’s garbage and spending the rest of the time till the next game saying they never liked it, and then ten years from now hailing it as a masterpiece! *cougheverygamefromwindwakeronwardscough*
I am quite sure lots of people hated majora's maske because of the time mechanic.
Skyward sword still is weak but i played amd bought it twice
I dunno, I didn't like BotW when it released and I still don't like it now seven years later. So far I don't like the look of this because of all the building/crafting mechanics. It looks like TotK but in 2D. I really dislike the sandbox direction Nintendo has pushed the Zelda series.
Windwaker = Twilight Princess > Skyward Sword > BotW < TotK < Windwaker
@@bjgray7954never comment again
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but the Fairy Tri through out the trailer has around four triangles trailing behind it. Each time an echo is made, some of the triangles move from Tri to the echo in different quantities. some items have one, the Redead has three. and the echo icons have a set number of triangles above them. I think this is how gameplay is balanced. you can only have a set number of echos out at a time, indicated by how many triangles Tri has, and items can very in triangle requirements, and perhaps Tri can be upgraded to have more triangles.
Wow nice spot!
Nintendo really do either announce a game and release 5-7 years, or announce a game and release it 3-5 months later.
I am so excited - I've wanted a game with playable Zelda for years.
Spirit tracks ;)
Age of Calamity allows you to play as Zelda but I see what you mean ie you wanted a game where Zelda is the MAIN playable character.
@@ART1984ablealso in a mainline Zelda game that’s a spinoff
The deku are back I can rest in peace now lol
This honestly might be more exciting than Tears of the Kingdom for me. I’m so excited for playable Zelda!!
now if any very older person ask their grand children if the character they are playing as is Zelda, that kind can finally say yes.
It seems to be the triangles on tri which are essentially mana (you can see a cast cost for echo in top right) and how much you have on is following tri
When do we get a game where Zelda kidnaps Link and Ganon has to save him?
Such an underrated comment
@@chrislevack405 Thank you.
I noticed something, when we first saw tri it had three triangle behind it but when Zelda threw a Gibdo it had three and tri had one so maybe different things will take a different amount of power from tri in order to create things so it doesn't completely break early game. It also means like the zonai batteries there is probably a way to get more. EDIT: I just looked back and anytime Zelda summons something tri will give a certain number of those energy triangles to things.
Look at the icon in the top right. The number of triangles above it likely represents how many triangles it takes to create that thing.
The triangles floating behind tri seem to be the resource used for echos. If you look at the echo icon in the upper right it shows the number of triangles it takes to summon it. You can also see in parts of the trailer the triangles floating above monsters after they've been summoned.
Indeed. When an item is summoned you even see some fly from Tri towards the item.
Such a missed opportunity to call the first (real) zelda game were zelda is the main character the legend of link, just for the memes. It would even make its initials LoL! XD
Even though we may have not had a playable Zelda in Tears of the Kingdom and see more of her journey in the past, this REAVEL TRAILER MAKES ME SCREAM OUT IN EXCITEMENT!!!
Given its appearance, that Great Deku tree is probably the one that died in OT because it doesn't speak & looks identical. My theory is that this is the Imprisoning War.
I like how Zelda can't just use her armies as a princess to stop Ganondorf or whoever the villain is because she appears to be made a fugitive in her own kingdom (since she gets the staff in prison and is in disguise).
Well written, Nintendo :)
It looks creative & new
Can't wait for Sept.
There's bomb fish in that underwater section.
I’m gonna laugh if the ending is the similar to links awakening where it was all a dream Zelda had while locked in her prism
You were actually wrong. Both species of Zorra were featured in Oracle of ages. This is the second Zelda game they are featured.
So anyone wanna hazard a guess as to why Princess Zelda is thrown in Hyrule Castle's prison at the start of the game, because it definitely looks like she is when Tri first shows up to help her.
I think the guards (maybe the King of Hyrule?) want to keep her safe and prevent Zelda from going on the adventure. Hence she is wearing the hood and plain clothes later. I think Impa knows that Zelda has to save Hyrule so Impa helps her escape.
So excited for this game! Its look unbelievable and so creative!
We are SO BACK LFG
It looks like jumping is just a thing link and zelda can do, like in Botw and Totk
2d Zelda is back
I have a feeling there will be a ‘dark world’ in which you control Link
Yup. Sounds like a too simple of a system to only control Zelda
You can actually see Zelda inside this dark world, when she gets the water echo in the trailer, so no link swap, it's all Zelda FTW!
It would be rad if the final boss fight incorporated a switch system between Link and Zelda in order to overcome it.
@@chrislevack405After you go the entire game playing only as Zelda? I would love a game where link and Zelda are each playable for the whole game, but I kind of just hope they commit to this and have it be Zelda.
Since Tri allows you to echo objects and enemies, I wonder if the final boss will involve summoning an echo of Link or the Master Sword.
The Legend of Link looks amazing! You play as Zelda! You know, the dude with the green hat! Oh wait.
Surprised there's not many comments on the fact that the cloak and especially the bow seem to be Zonai made or at least inspired. That's definitely a zonai/construct bow link is using
The two types of Zoras were in the Oracle games I think? Both sea and river.
I just hope there’s a better way to organize and scroll through the “echoes” since it looks like it’s using a similar bar sliding menu as the fusing system in TotK
Ahhh i was waiting for a video from you about this game!
I just realized the amount of items you can create are limited to the amount of triangles on the fairy’s head. That’s pretty cool
Hey so I have a theory! I think the echoes represent the triforce of wisdom and there will be 8 dungeons, 8 echoes that together complete the triforce of wisdom like in the original Zelda and also the 8 triangles will represent the max echoes you can summon at once!
This is the story of how she took his house after BOTW
I think it would be amazing if they made this into a trilogy of games. Echo's of wisdom....a Power game and a Courage game. It would make for a interesting way to introduce the Triforce to newer generations since I feel it hasn't been included for a while.
The triangles following tri seem to be mana for summoning enemies and they get those triangles above their heads when spawned
Looks like a spiritual successor to link between worlds and I am absolutely 100% on board
I don't think you understand the phrase "spiritual successor"
It would be a sequel.
I think more links awakening HD, if you’re talking about the rifts I think it is a bit different than Lorule.
I was hoping for wind waker but this looks soooooo good I'm not really bothered 🤟
Said no one ever 😅
Tired of 'hd' remakes. Theyre just remastered unless they remake assets, similar to DKCR HD
@@TheGearsCollectorA new original is a much bigger deal than a port
Let me address the gameplay elephant- er, element in the room: The triangles above Tri and the Echoes. In this trailer, Tri has four triangles following her(?), and those triangles appear over every Echo summoned. Each Echo probably requires triangles to make, and chances are the Echoes can disappear to give triangles back, so the game doesn't get broken in half. This gives off a clue of the limits this game will have. Maybe, just maybe, you can collect more triangles so you can do more complicated puzzles.
I think it might play after totk cuz the bow link uses is a zonai bow and impas hat is also seen somewhere in the trailer.
I love how the game looks so far
The map needs to be HUGE
Like, I’m talking other far away civilisations and untraditionally whimsical locations enough to rival BOTW and completely out weigh any 2D Zelda in comparison
I would not be surprised if it's not 4x that of Links Awakening.
@@dreamerguy96Nah. Not everything needs to be breath of the Wild or tears of the kingdom. I would be just as happy with a relatively small, but well-made and dense world.
@@landrypierce9942 I said ‘rival’ not ‘be alike to’. We need a 2D Zelda with a stupidly LARGE map, much bigger than Link to the pass and Links Awakening
@@dreamerguy96 I know what you meant, but I still disagree. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom need an expansive world, because that’s kind of the point.
2D Zelda doesn’t really, because the overworld is kind of filler to help you transition between the things you are actually trying to do (dungeons mostly). Not to mention, it takes a lot longer to get anywhere in these games. There is no run button, and fast travel is usually very limited.
Best channel for my LOZ updates.
for every echo you make, it uses these triangle symbols and that might be a stamina system for echos. The amount of triangles above tri changes. above the echo icon, you can see some triangles.
Hopefully this is a trilogy and each game represents a part of the triforce. Wisdom you play as Zelda, courage you play as link, and power you play as Gannon🤔 that would be dope AF.
Nintendo will literally never make a game where you play as Ganon and kill Link/Zelda. No shot.
amazing!!!!
Link's sword in the beginning of the trailer reminds me of the lokomo sword in spirit tracks
I’ve been looking forward to a new top down Zelda for so long!! I’m so excited ☺️
Nice video!
You could point out the limitations of Zelda's copying power, which is visualized by the number of triangles on the tail of Tri.
Every time you create an object out of thin air, one or two or three of the triangles (I'm sure there are more) will be spent and float on top of the cloned objects, and probably stay until Zelda leaves the clones far behind. At the start there's only 3 of usable triangles, but some scenes have 4. I can imagine Zelda will be upgrading the max number of them over time, and late game will see maybe 8 to 12 triangles usable.
i feel like something that may happen is that near the endgame you’ll find link before defeating the final boss, and you’ll be able to talk to him as he “tells you the story of his quest to save zelda”. In a very similar way to Olimar’s Shipwreck Tale in Pikmin 4, it would be a slightly shorter but harder version of the game using traditional 2d zelda mechanics and alot of fan service that tells you the story of why Link was looking for Zelda in the first place. purely speculation tho!
A few days before my birthday too (September 29) 🥺❤️ so excited to play this
Something I’m noticing is that the sword that link is using isn’t the master sword and looks kinda like the lokomo sword from spirit tracks and also the bow that links uses when falling in to the portal, looks in the same design as the bow from spirit tracks…
Sad about no switch 2 news but I love that Your looking at the positives as well with this game ❤
It would be interesting if Gorons appear in this game. They often say brother, so maybe they will say sister to Zelda.
There seems to be a limit to what you can spawn unfortunately, when Zelda spawns an item, a triangle above tri’s head disappears
I'm just glad 2D link is still left handed.
Im glad its a puzzle focused game this time around
Zelda fans ask for something unique and new mechanic, now we have echoes of wisdom , dev team put all their creativity for making first Zelda playable
Curse you, nentendo, making we wish away the summer.
Now we can get a Zelda game where the main character, ACTUALLY TALKS!!!!!
The legend of Link
Of course Zelda has an army on command! She is a princess, after all 😊
This is a must have. I do hope they fixed the frame drop problems from Link's Awakening though.
seeing as that, we see Zelda traversing inside that other purple dimension when she’s collecting the water block, I think that makes it less likely that we will play as link in this game.
I hope we can play as link in some segments
I wonder if the anti-kirby from Link's Awakening will appear in this game
Me and all other fans wanted to play as princess Zelda now with this game WE FINALLY CAN 😢🤩☺️😘
It looks like Link was using the Magical Sword from the OG days, except the hilt is the wrong color.
Could be the White Sword actually, now that I think about it.
Or it could be a stylized version of the Master Sword... seems like the easiest and most logical conclusion.
I hope that the echo isn't the only ability Zelda has. I hope there's a way for her to do direct combat
It's going to be so wierd playing as a silent Princess Zelda lol, but I've been waiting for a playable Zelda for so long. Age of Calamity scratched that itch, but this is in an official Zelda game, not a Hyrule Warriors one.
I was pleasantly surprised when they announced an entirely new game!! it looks very adorable and whimsical I'm so excited :)
It’s interesting that Link’s cape and sword share similar design patterns to the Ainu… if these designs are related to the Zonai by chance, it may say a lot about the lore in this era of Zelda… in relation to actual Japanese history, there’s so much Japanese culture (obviously) in the Zelda games.
Also he has a zonai bow, you can see the design at 0:52
the legend of link!
Echoes have different costs! Look at the triangles above their heads! So you have limited echoes that can be active at the same time. You seem to have 4 triangle available for the biggest part of the trailer
Finally a game for the person that says the main character of Legend of Zelda is Zelda.
But what if she ends up being Sheik? I'd go crazy..
That was a peahat she was using, not a scrub.
I reeeeeally think Zelda will be using those rifts to travel through different Hyrules!
I also think her wand won’t be her only “weapon”, the d-pad briefly shown on the UI showed just the wand equipped! Not sure if she will have a sword, but maybe her bow?
I think there's gonna be a magic meter to control how many things you can summon and the boss will be echoed
The amount of echoes you can create is actually represented on the number of triangles following Tri
@@superamogusbros5594 do you think we can collect more shapes for Tri?
@@semkix667 maybe
@@semkix667 Definitely. Look again at the clip where they summon a bokoblin. Zelda has 4, and she spend 2 to create a Bokoblin. You can even see the 2 triangles hover above the Bokoblin's head. Same for the Redead except that looks like it uses 3 triangles.
My only prediction for the direct was a new 2D/top-down Zelda game, I can’t believe I was right!
The duplication seems to depend on the triangles the fairy Tri carries at the moment
Feel like a triforce trilogy coming up
When Zelda wears the cloak/hood, she looks like Lorule's Hilda. Just my opinion.
The number of triangles following the fairy are the copies left, maybe?
I wonder how many "favs" (objects, enemies...) can you carry with you and select at any given time, if there is a limit. Maube you can improve it, expand yout reservoir of "favs" in memory.
i'm so excited for this. i'm way happier than i'd have been if we'd have gotten WW/TP ports
Link's bow is a Zonia bow!
Maybe in a future we will get a 3d playable zelda after this!
You’ll probably be able to play as link aswell since it kinda starts in the trailer with you playing as him. Who’s to say. Later in the game you’ll do that again
Do you think there’ll be a ‘Link’ mode? That you can unlock?
@@songoku9348 I honestly wouldn’t doubt it. And make it where this “dark world “ he’s like the dungeon set up thing from links awakening.
Playable ganon when?
