I honestly think it makes sense for Zelda to not really depend on a sword, or even have a sword at all. She is the holder of Triforce of Wisdom, after all. Just giving Zelda a sword would have been a lame way to go when finally making her the protagonist. There needed to be a interesting and fun twist. She might still have more regular weapons, what we saw was just a glimpse. I for one, am REALLY HYPED about this one. :D
Given that Link has generally had access to both physical melee and ranged weapons with limited access to spellcasting, I've always (for the last 25+ years) figured that Zelda could have that flipped. Magic first, but some regular weaponry available as a fallback. Or she could go Red Mage and have a focus on enhancing her physical abilities with magic.
@@JediMB Yeah I think she'll get the Bow of Light later. Or maybe a basic bow that upgrades to the Bow of Light. But at the very least I'd probably be upset if the Bow of Light isn't something she gets because that's something specific to Zelda she has in most games (either she gives Link the Bow of Light / Light Arrows or uses it herself).
Yeah, there’s a reason why most Smash fans I’ve encountered online describe playing Zelda in Melee & Brawl as “do most damage as Shiek & do the finishing blow as Zelda”. Zelda is more of a magic user than a fighter. Sakurai basically described her in Ultimate as more of a magic wielding researcher. Basically Zelda is the brains while link is the brawn.
I love how fast Zelda nerds clocked the ALTTP map. Like, how the fuck could we not lmao. Its iconic! And it looks like theyre expanding the general map size and adding more detail. The only weird detail is Link appears to have the Lokomo sword.
I have some reservations about how well it'll come together, but it's a cool idea and I'm also a 2D lover, so looking forward to trying it out either way.
It's just getting a little weird how Nintendo feels the need to mask their heroines being violent lol. Peach isn't hurting people. She's just LARPing too hard. Zelda doesn't kill. She pays people to do that for her.
This looks like everything I wanted out of loz right now, but it's hard to tell if there's dungeons. I think there is, but I can't be certain yet. Regardless, with Prime 4 a year off this is easily the game I'm most excited for.
Technically speaking they were originally designed with the idea in mind of being between LTTP and Link's Awakening. They were only retroactively made into a "sequel" like 20+ years later in Hyrule Encyclopedia to help fix some of the lore of LBW. If you read some of the early interviews, the intent of the Oracles was to be set after LTTP and before LA. That's also why Link sets sail on a raft after the end of a linked Oracles game.
@@JaidynReiman Yeah, I remember. I always thought it was an unnecessary change. I actually had to look up how it flip-floped to make sure I remembered it right. Lol. Tbh I think it made more sense the original way because Labryna & Holodrum are implicitly different regions across the sea from Hyrule & LA happened on Link's way back to Hyrule.
@@ninjabluefyre3815 Except Zelda and Link both can jump here... But yes Zelda fans use the term "2D Zelda" to refer to classic top-down Zelda style games. As opposed to a big mainline 3D game with full camera controls in a massive world.

How is this anything like Animal Crossing? Because you can summon furniture? It's a puzzle solving mechanic, not a home building simulator.
Great idea. I'm gonna use the tri rod to make a house
WE ARE SO BACK🗣️🗣️🗣️
Excited for this one! when the trailer initially started I thought it would be a remake of Link Between Worlds
Thank you the TH-cam algorithm for letting me discover this youtube channel!!!
It’s links awakening and the power of NyQuil 😂

This looks good and ill probably play it like every other Zelda game but i was really hope for and oracle of seasons remake.
It's so funny to me when people say a sequel to Link's Awakening.. That's what the Oracles are.

The gameplay is pretty interesting
YAY :D
This clearly seems like more of a puzzle based zelda game.
From what I’ve seen a decent of 2D Zelda games have a hefty amount of puzzle segments, so I don’t mind it.
Can you pre order this?
Not as of right now.
@@MaskedMajoraYT sadge. Ima get this as soon as its available anywhere
This isn't 2D
I say 2D as in top down perspective. Sorry for the confusion.
@@MaskedMajoraYT Nah you're good and I'm pretty sure the GB game was 2D. I dunno since GB was before my time. I grew up with the GBA
@@chaosqrow634 Game still only uses two axys, so it's 2D, even with 3D models.
