- Last year we purchased our first home ever in Chattanooga, TN. This is where Sara grew up and it was the city we chose to make the leap to make our forever home purchase. We love Chattanooga and all the people, places, and things it has to offer. While we’ve done a few videos on Chattanooga in the past (see below for past Chattanooga vlogs), this video is dedicated to all that is new in Chattanooga since we were last home. Aretha Frankenstein’s is one of my favorite places!!! Whenever people visit for the first time, I automatically take them there. The shrimp and grits is 10/10

I was just there last month and plan on coming back in April. I live in Nashville and prefer Chattanooga customer service and charm!

My experiences in Chatt are abnormal. I see it through my elderly parents eyes which means I know where the cemeteries and churches are. I didn’t grow up here but have been here for 10+ years and rarely get to see any sites. Part of me wants to flee when the time comes but I know I’ll see it differently one day. It IS beautiful and the weather is much more pleasant than the NE. So, thank you for highlighting the best of the scenic city!

Hi Chris and Sara! I too live in Chattanooga, been calling it home since 2011! These videos are so helpful for even locals like me because it's just me and my husband too and we love supporting our town's new eats and shops when possible. Thanks so much for sharing! Ps. My grandparents grew up in the Highland Park (or right by it)...I can't remember what street it was...just know it's really close to the National Cemetary. I live near Hamilton Place Mall and Regal Cinema. I work at the Publix on McCutcheon Rd.

I live in Chattanooga now. Moved here in November 2020 after me and my then girlfriend found out we were having a baby. Lived in Georgia for 26 years took a little while to get adjusted to but I love it here for the most part its a good city to live in

Loved this video! I live close by and will definitely try some of these places. I don't think it's ever tacky to get a takeout box. When you think about how much work goes into that food from growing it, transporting it, preparing it, and getting it to your table then it would be a sin to just throw it away!

Do you ever get to Chicamauga? I spent four weeks there working on the movie, Farmer and the Belle: Saving Santaland. I drove to Chat to buy items for set design . I remember street names like Gun Barrel Road :))). Loved this and loved the song you played!!!

@@chrisandsara It was everything you said it would be and more. The brussels sprouts... Both versions... To die for. And the half chicken was perfection. Service was a little spotty, but it wasn't any big deal. I'd recommend it to anybody.

Just tried Hello Monty. Such a great addition to the city.
I live 45 miles south of chattanooga and I used to spend a lot of time there. I gave up on it after several incidences with parking difficulty. I even once received a parking ticket in the mail for a vehicle I didn't own issued on a day I was at work.
I think the breaking point for me was when I was trying to find a parking space for Lupi's one afternoon. The city was doing away with parking spaces to make room for some bike lanes. Not because there's a demand for more bike lanes but because the city wants people to ride bikes.
This video reminded me a lot of what I loved about Chattanooga. Perhaps I should give it a try again.

Chattanooga is the best I moved here from Dunlap 4 years ago and absolutely couldn't be happier I'm only 40 mine from my home town but it's far enough to feel a change 💗💗

I’m living here and it’s pretty nice I just spent most of my time in over the border of Georgia bc a lot of my family lives there but overall I have gone to the center and it’s really nice
I was born and raised in Chattanooga. My family has been there for generations. You make Chattanooga look cool lol. I’ve been in Atlanta since 2003. I couldn’t wait to high tail it out of there as a young adult. I’ll have to come visit my folks and check it out like a tourist 🤣🤣🤣.
There's definitely been a lot of fun change to the city the last few years! We definitely recommend checking it all out!

Hey Karen! Great question. Their Yemen coffee is amazing (it’s a specialty) but you can’t go wrong with Columbia or Brazil either!

They have done so much work on Common House. I was in there years ago was just a workspace. I have never been to Aretha Frankenstein always had a big line. Chris and Sarah I recently visited chattanooga however I wasn't able to site see do to the horrible room that I booked to stay in while I was there unfortunately I stayed for one night and left and i would love to try again and visited. so you guys mentioned in your video that common house has a hotel floor so I would like to know how much it is to book a room and also what they look like if you could go back again if that's no trouble I would totally appreciate it and thank you so much for your video.

Hey Chris and Sara. I really enjoyed this video about Chattanooga. It's funny I've lived in Chattanooga my whole life and never really explored Chattanooga to see what's out there. Just a quick question is there an obscure coffee shop that you know of that retains that coffee shop feel where I can go chill and relax and not be bothered. One that would be spaced out. I used to go to Starbucks,but they ruined it when they remodeled all of their shops.
