Happy belated birthday to Nat! I LOVE Savannah! The first time I visited, I took an Old Town Trolley just to get an overview of the city, and WOW! My guide was fantastic! She was funny, informative, kept everyone engaged and in stitches (plus she was an excellent driver). I was fortunate on my second visit to get the same driver (!) and was delighted once again (be sure to tip your driver/guide, as they do an excellent job). The food is fantastic, the parks are immaculate, the cemeteries are gorgeous, and the boutique shops are oh so inviting. Lovely, friendly city, and I´m looking forward to my next visit.

I'm making it a done deal this year in the spring! I'll be going by myself and can't wait though haven't booked a place to stay yet!🤣 I need an inexpensive but safe place! I go visit my dad in Springfield every once in a while and we go to Savannah while im there. Ive been in the Cathedral Bascilia of St. John the Baptist a couple of times and its huge inside that church!

I started at Disneyland about 23 years ago and now have nearly a thousand pennies from everywhere I go and about 20 of the collection books. A most munificent friend has been taking me to Savannah for the anniversary of my birthday for a number of years now. I prefer walking and seeing the beautiful squares and sights as opposed to taking a trolley. Oh...and Happy Belated Birthday! I know it was a great one spent in a great city with a great partner!

I lived in Florida 48 years and anytime I had to go up I-95 I saw it as a good excuse to stop in Savannah. I now live in South America and rarely go north, so I really enjoyed this and was excited to see how much Savannah has grown. Thanks for activating memories. I did not see any mention of the Bonaventure Cemetery which you must see and watch the movie "Midnight In the Garden of Evil" before going to Savannah.

We are relocating to Savannah later this year and enjoyed watching this. The only disappointing aspect was the Repeal 33 review. Feel free to not enjoy the food, but the atmosphere being compared to Chili's...I mean, come on. Welcome to post-Covid fine dining guys. The atmosphere, from what I could tell, was great. American Bistros is the new thing for fine dining atmospheres. Anyway, the rest of the vlog was fun to watch... Cheers!

1982 and earlier are the best for pressed pennies. I like to get pennies and then weigh them. I like the copper pennies that are closest to 3 grams.

The Forest Gump Bench was moved to a museum for protection,because people kept taking the wood from the bench.
I know the statute of limitations has expired. And my Mother has passed, but she once "suds" the fountain you took footage of (Forsyth Park) while she was in nursing school. Dumped 2 bottles of detergent into it :). She was an absolute nut, and I miss her profusely.
Happy belated birthday, Natalie!! 🎉 We went to Savannah several years ago with the kids, and we went to Forsyth Park and walked along the Riverfront! One of my favorite photos of our kids ever is from Forsyth Park! Those trees just make for a beautiful backdrop! Love the trolley tour and all you learned!! I didn’t realize Forrest Gump scenes were filmed there! So cool.
