I just moved here about 7 months ago, I'm looking forward to doing all this stuff. Its a great city and I can't wait to explore it all. Just went to a swimming hole in Soddy yesterday. Kids loved it and it was beautiful, all set in the trees, totally clear water, etc. BTW, ya'll were right there, should have stopped at Clumpy's. Great ice cream.
I grew up there as a kid. It's absolutely beautiful. Central Park was my favorite place to be plus they always has this shaved ice truck next to the bridge.
I'm 62 and I've lived here in Chattanooga my entire life. I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. You are excellent ambassadors for our city. Thank you. And Chris, it's North Shore and the South Side. 😁. Keep up the great work.
Oh, you should also check out Lookout Lavender Farm in Flintstone, GA right down the road. I don't know if they are doing the Sunflower fields in Ooltewah this year, but if they do, it is a must see also.
Moving to Chattanooga in June and that meat joint looks awesome. Don't feel guilty for eating the most nutrient dense, delicious food available. Thanks for the tour of this awesome city!
Great video! I’ve lived in Chattanooga most of my life and this has given me some great ideas of things to do. I even think that I was at that same baseball game with my church last year.
Amazing guys!! I see bigger things on the horizon for y'all. I do believe that hard work and quality pays off. You guys demonstrate both. Proud to have you here with us in Chattanooga.
Thanks for showing more options of fun things to do in Chattanooga. I kept waiting for you to attempt the climbing wall after your meal. ; ) My wife and I visited Chattanooga in Oct 2020. Even with COVID restrictions, we had a fantastic time. We hiked in the Prentice Cooper State Forest, hiked in the North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Park, explored the Tennessee Aquarium, had terrific pizza and ice cream downtown, crossed the Walnut St. Bridge, and strolled the river walk near the dam.
This is not fair.. you guys! Just spent Friday in your city... wished this was out before. Still enjoyed my 1 night RV camping at Tanasi Brewery! Watching and I will be back soon.
You both always make me want to go hang out in town! I'm on Signal Mountain so I often just stay up here. But thanks for giving me even more reasons to love Chatt!
Oh wow I didn't know you could drop in right there. I pass by there several times a week. I also didn't know you could go on that island. That's so cool!
My boyfriend and I are visiting Chattanooga in early August for our five year anniversary, and this was so amazing for helping us come up with some ideas of what to do while we're there!
Beautiful Chattanooga !!!😍 I enjoy a lot your videos and also the casual way to share the information makes me feel interested to visiting all the places that you mention. Have a happy life😁love your dog also. Blessings from 🇨🇷 Costa Rica.
I moved back to Chattanooga exactly a year ago after living in Berlin for awhile (I miss Berlin very much!)..so much new stuff here in Chattanooga and I appreciate your channel catching me up! I lived here for nearly 2 decades before I moved away
👍So fun. 😍I love Kramer. I can truly relate to him. 😂 Fantastic video, thanks for sharing. 💝 I love Chattanooga & have been there many times since I live so close in GA but I have not gone to the places in this video.
1. i’m LOVING the Kramer content!!! … 2. loved both of your hats! 3. you both looked so nice for your evening outing … 4. i wanna go to Main Street Meats with y’all!! 5. Sara’s asking ‘is it halftime yet?’ 😆💀
I used to live in Cincinnati and I loved the team. Soon headed to Chattanooga area. Can’t wait to explore the city. We will be living in Calhoun so we are excited. Thanks for the great places to see.
Well, it worked. Even though I've lived near and visited Chattanooga several times, this has me wanting to get back there soon. I mentioned it to her and we are thinking we may make Chattanooga our next adventure. So many adventures to be had in that great city....
even though I live in Europe, so far away, I love watching these 'local' travel vlogs of you guys exploring. It's so relaxing and i like watching you! the editing is on point too. so nice! vicariously living through you two :)
You guys should definitely try the Chattanooga River Walk and See Rock City!! Along with everything else that is on Lookout Mountain because it’s so beautiful up there!
My girlfriend and I stopped by Chattanooga on a road trip a few weeks ago and loved it. We are coming back in the fall to get a better look. Maybe our retirement city.
Oregon born and raised but my great grandpa was from Fort Payne, AL. Spent a day in Chattanooga and thought it was really fun. You should cover the river market. My cousin has a table there every weekend!
Yay, sponsored👍 We can't wait to explore Chattanooga. Loving the music! Kramer's in heaven, you know he wants wanted to jump in right away. Yep, even we'll do the kayak. We're getting hungry, Lol. OHMYGOSH Shea Shea will love this. This is a fun city tour, feel like we're with you guys:) Best Wishes, James and Kim ❤ By the way, LOVE this channels community:)
Thanks, y'all!! Can't wait to Shea Shea that fu dog park and take y'all out for some good food when you visit! We'll be working on a list of places to show you guys. :) Hope your week is off to a good start!
I’ve lived in Chattanooga area since I was 3 so I’ve seen a lot of changes in my 65 years…yikes has it been that long? All changes for the better and I am finding new places or revisiting place I have not thought about in years through the two of you. What a beautiful town we live in and how easy it is to forget. It is obvious you guys love Chattanooga!
Greeting Chris & Sara! I'm also moving to Chattanooga TN this August. I haven't even found a place to live yet, but your videos make me excited! Thank you for the video!
Loved this video. Chattanooga is beautiful and such a great outdoor city. There’s a few places on here I need to visit. Loved seeing Ms Wanda too, she’s a community gem. She retired from Erlanger too and was there for over 40 years!
Ms Wanda is such a gem for sure! One of my friends told us we needed to find and talk to her because she's part of what makes visiting a Lookouts game so special. :) Her smile and joy were contagious, even in the quick moments we got to speak to her. If you know her personally, please give her a big hug and thank you for us!
Excellent video! We’ve stayed in Chattanooga near Songbirds sadly they have closed. We never knew you can kayak on the river, it’s on our list! Kramer had the best day ever! Thanks for showing us new things to do & see! Thanks Cara 😊
I've been through Chattanooga so many time but.... I'm make an extended trip very soon! That Doggie park was so awesome, my fur baby will LOVE it! BUT, that restaurant looks awesome! That burger 🍔😋😍 That will be my first stop ✋! 😀 I was so happy the hear the national anthem at the game and it looks like so much fun and made me smile!! 😃😊🙂 Y'all need to plan e a trip to Biloxi soon to go to a "Shuckers" game!!
We'd be MORE than happy to take y'all to the dog park and for a good burger when you visit! :) A shuckers game sounds like so much fun! It's hard to beat a summer night at the ball park. :)
Well, that was sure a different video! Interesting & fun! We got so hungry looking at that delicious food! Looking forward to seeing more of your new friends & hope to get a tour of their van too!❤️
Main St Meats opens for lunch until noon, and the burger lived up to the hype! We enjoyed a midday stop in your fair city while on the first leg of our road trip north from GA. THANKS!
This is why you guys are the best - you’re just real! Not overproduced, just yourselves. I can’t wait to visit Chatt later this year - we have a wedding in the fall and I’m definitely going to squeeze a day or two extra in! Oh and I lost it when Sara asked if it was half time yet! 🤣
Thanks so much for watching!! ❤ And my sunglasses are the "Aubrey" from Warby Park. I've had them for 2 years now and still wear them everyday-- they're the best!
Great question! We have KEEN hiking boots if it's going to be a really rocky hike. If it's a shorter hike with lots of water we'll wear our Chacos. Sara also has Altras which are great because they're lightweight and have good traction, but since they're more like tennis shoes they don't have toe protection.
Oh my gosh Chris and Sara I had a great time. Kramer is adorable. Thank you for sharing your day with us. We here in Texas are getting back to normal as well. God Bless America Land of the Free and Home of the Brave. You both have a blessed week. Nana in San Antonio
Chattanooga TN is a very very very cool place to visit, to the point that I would like to visit the City and the State of TN to, my Brothers and Sisters🙂👍
You guys should go to a Chattanooga Football Club match. It is such a fun time. Get there early and grab a couple beers at Chattanooga Brewing Company before hand with some of the supporters group.
if y’all ever find yourselves close to the hamilton place mall or going toward ooltewah should swing by oak’s coffeehouse!! we are a local non-profit with the best coffee, a welcoming environment & delicious food & pastries!!!!
Love y’all’s channel! We’ve lived in Tennessee our whole lives but in Chattanooga for the past 6 years. Our German shepherd loves play wash pint and Renaissance park. However, Fireworks aren’t illegal in Tennessee but they are illegal in Chattanooga city limits.
Anyone know the name and creator of the song playing at the beginning of the baseball game clip? Love it! Great video. Makes me want to visit The Big Chat.
There are two places that I absolutely love: Real Roots Cafe, and Cashew! They are both vegan, and their food is off the charts! Desserts that are unbelievable also!!
That’s so funny i just drove through Chattanooga yesterday, and i went to eat downtown so i could say I’ve been to Chattanooga. And the whole time I was like i wonder what chris and sarah are doing 😂
Hi guys, A friend and I are popping to Chattanooga on a whirlwind road trip to Augusta for the masters but we’re in Chattanooga for 1day only what is the 1thing we should do or see ? Or how about a 1 day itinerary we are coming from the uk, so we’ll need to end up in a bar at the end . Any recommendations welcome Friday 1st April we would love any sporting event etc.
Hi Mark! Great to hear from you! April is a beautiful time of year to visit the southeast so hopefully you'll get some perfect, sunny weather! If you're here for one day I'd recommend the following: 1. Coffee at Goodman's (there are 3 locations in town) 2. Breakfast at Bluegrass Grill or Niedlov's 3. Enjoy the riverfront area, specifically walk the Walnut Street Bridge (this is really beautiful at sunset but anytime of day is nice!) 4. As far as drinks go, good breweries would be Oddstory or Naked River. If you like whiskey then Chattanooga Whiskey might be a good stop for you. If you'd like just a regular bar that serves up a bit of everything, Proof Bar and Incubator is really popular right now and so is Rosecomb. If you want dinner while you drink, Flying Squirrel and State of Confusion are both really fun spaces with great bars and food. 5. As far as sports go, it'll be a bit early for baseball and soccer unfortunately. A fun alternative for something outside might be hiking on Lookout Mountain + watching people hang glide from Lookout Mountain Flight Park if the wind is right. Hope this helps and feel free to reach out with more questions! :)
@@chrisandsara really kind of you to reply, thankyou we'll likely do just that possibly with a trip up the mountain on the vernacular railway depending on the weather ...we are so disappointed you guys start the baseball later in the month it would have been perfect ...thankyou both for your help/advice
Been looking for places to live after I finish college, and Chattanooga is on the top of my list! Seems like a great city with a nice mix of stuff to do 😁
Of course Kramer is a half poodle, which is a water dog and if his other half is Golden Retriever or Labador Reteiver, both are water breads as well, so he is going to love water! I hope Chattanooga has been offering alot of vaccines. Stay safe. When I visited Chattanooga, I loved the aquarium!
I can't believe you wanted something cold and creamy but then left the North Shore! What about Clumpies? Nothing wrong with Main Street Meats but If I want a burger I'll go another block to Slick's or for something different try 3rd Deck Burger Bar at Ross's Landing. Sara you looked great in your sundress but Play, Wash, Pint isn't that formal, Nera loves it. You two were so close to my house.
Love The Lookouts and so affordable. Wanda is a treasure too. Hike Stringers Ridge to the Overlook. Do the climbing wall under Walnut Street Bridge. Find a geocache over in the Nat8 Cemetery and share the story of The General. I promise I don't work for the Chattanooga Visitors Center, at least in any official capacity whatsoever! Don't forget the UFO house or our little zoo.
You showed some places that I haven’t been to in Chattanooga before! I’ll have to check them out! And I think the baseball game that you went to, Chattanooga won! I live really close to the Trash Pandas home baseball field! Go Trash Pandas!! 😊
Hopefully you can check them out next to you are in town! We loooved the name Trash Pandas 😂 It was hard to root for the Lookouts when they were playing a team with such a great name!
@@chrisandsara My daughter, son in law and I Ate there on our stop over in Chattanooga because we didn't get in town early enough to make it to The Daily Portion.
Other restaurant recommendations: Boathouse: Get the wood grilled oysters and the any of their smoked Mears Community Pie: Order a Detroit Style pizza with whatever topping you want. But just get the Detroit Style! It's some of the best pizza I've had in Chattanooga!
I’m glad you said you aren’t foodies. 😂. I was beginning to think you love everything because you all are definitely not picky about the food or the service.
Follow us on Instagram for more daily adventures. :) instagram.com/chrisandsara_
Every city should have a couple like you guys to show everyone what to do! Great job! 👏👏👏
Thank you so much for that! We love showing off places and ca sit to feature other amazing cities!
Love how real you 2 are, didn't edit out the sidewalk "trip" perfect. Loved it, I can relate.
😂😂😂 we try to “keep it real”
I just moved here about 7 months ago, I'm looking forward to doing all this stuff. Its a great city and I can't wait to explore it all.

I grew up there as a kid. It's absolutely beautiful. Central Park was my favorite place to be plus they always has this shaved ice truck next to the bridge.
The park is a wonderful spot! And the shaved ice truck is still there! :)
@@chrisandsara thank you.

I’m still learning 🤣😅- Chris
Thanks for watching Karen and thanks for all your suggestions we’re adding that to our list!
I agree.
I finally remembered to look up the sunflowers. It's Smith-Perry Berries in Ooltewah. They have a "growth tracker" on Facebook.
Karen Gaynon sunflowers are happening in Ooltewah NOW and maybe the next two weeks as long as they are blooming :))
Moving to Chattanooga in June and that meat joint looks awesome. Don't feel guilty for eating the most nutrient dense, delicious food available. Thanks for the tour of this awesome city!
That's exciting, Chattanooga is a great place to live! Hope our video helped a little!
Great video! I’ve lived in Chattanooga most of my life and this has given me some great ideas of things to do. I even think that I was at that same baseball game with my church last year.
We're so glad we could give you more places to visit in your hometown! That's so funny! If you ever see us around town be sure to say hey!
Amazing guys!! I see bigger things on the horizon for y'all. I do believe that hard work and quality pays off. You guys demonstrate both. Proud to have you here with us in Chattanooga.
That means so much, thank you!
I am so excited to see you partnering with Visit Chatt!
Thanks! We had so much fun working with them! There's so much to share in Chattanooga we still haven't scratched the surface. :)

This is not fair.. you guys! Just spent Friday in your city... wished this was out before. Still enjoyed my 1 night RV camping at Tanasi Brewery!
Watching and I will be back soon.
Well now you have a reason to come back. Glad you had fun on your trip!
Tanasi is the best! My favorite in Chatt!! Clint is a master when it comes to brewing!
@@chrisandsara definitely!
I’ve lived in Chattanooga my whole life and haven’t been to some of the places you guys went to. I most definitely will now
Glad to show off some new places for you Julius. Hope to see you around town one day!

Signal mountain is a great place, but so glad our videos are giving you some good ideas 😊

We were in Chattanooga Tn last weekend. And we have been there several times. I’m thinking of moving there.
How fun, we've really enjoyed living here!
I used to live in Chattanooga, & highly regret ever moving.
Great video. Not a bad seat in the house for the lookouts and it is cheap. I hope you do more with visit Chattanooga.
Thanks Matt! We loved working with Visit Chattanooga and showing off our great town. Hope you’re doing well!
Great glassy water for a paddle! Cramer in the water is a crack up 😀🤪

Enjoy your time here, so glad we could help and Happy Anniversary!
We vacation in Chattanooga 1-2 times a year. We are never in town when their is a lookout game. Nice to see what it’s like. We love Chattanooga.
We love it too! If you're ever able to go while they are playing, it's a blast!
Y'all managed to do many things in Chattanooga that we've either never done or rarely done so this was really interesting to us! Thanks!
Thanks for watching, Phil! It's always good to hear from another Chattanoogan out here. This city we all get to call home is so special!

Great video. Chattanooga looks pretty cool! When we can get across the border, we'll have to check it out!
Can't recommending visiting enough! Fingers crossed these borders open soon. :)
I live in Fort O, and love Chattanooga!! I am definitely going to check out that coffee shop, and I love Local Juice!!
Hey there neighbor! Definitely recommend it!
😂😂😂 this made us LOL. Hope you had a great time here Lacey!
@@chrisandsara it was beautiful! I ate at the mellow mushroom 🍄 pretty cool spot. Everyone around was so friendly. It’s definitely a good vibes city!
Try one of the Krystal hamburgers! Or two or three. I was raised on those!
i was in chattanooga for a day trip yesterday and i wish we saw this haha
Bummer! You'll have to come back, there's so many things to do here!
this is awesome!! 🤩
Thanks for watching Emma!
If you're here for one day I'd recommend the following:
1. Coffee at Goodman's (there are 3 locations in town)
2. Breakfast at Bluegrass Grill or Niedlov's
3. Enjoy the riverfront area, specifically walk the Walnut Street Bridge (this is really beautiful at sunset but anytime of day is nice!)
Seems like a great city with a nice mix of stuff to do 😁
We've really loved living here, nice mix of city, country and mountains!
That dog play area is a cool idea for dogs and humans
I had the burger at Main Street meats, so delicious!
Right?! It’s so good! Can’t wait to go back.
Naughty Cat Cafe is one of our favorite places when we are in town!
So many good things on this list and only a couple of them have we done before! Thank you for the recommendations!! :)
Still need to take you guys on that boat trip.
Where are your sunglasses from? :)
Great question! Warby Parker and I love them! They’re the “Audrey” frames
Do you guys know Jaylena from leaving her wild. She has parents in Nashville Tennessee
Awww! Josiah and Unyae! 😍
Have you tried the Hair of the Dog pub? Nice place, alow dogs on the outside deck.
We haven’t yet! Adding that to the list. Thanks Rory!
@@chrisandsara My daughter, son in law and I Ate there on our stop over in Chattanooga because we didn't get in town early enough to make it to The Daily Portion.
Are dogs allowed on the kayaks I was looking at there website and didn't see anything about it I'd love to take mine with me when I go!!
Yes! They are!! Be sure to check their weekly specials section because I believe they give discounts for bringing your dog on Monday or Tuesday. ☺️
Oh perfect thank you so much!
Try Treemont Tavern for a good burger
Thanks for the recommendation!
Other restaurant recommendations:
Boathouse: Get the wood grilled oysters and the any of their smoked Mears
Community Pie: Order a Detroit Style pizza with whatever topping you want. But just get the Detroit Style! It's some of the best pizza I've had in Chattanooga!
We just tried the Detroit Style at Community Pie before Nightfall the other day! So good! The Boathouse is going on the list, too. :) Thank you!
Welcome back to Chattanooga 💯
Thank you!
Main Street Meats BEST dish is the Cuban. It's just so dang good.
So good to know, thank you! We plan on going back there!
You're my main street meat.
I’m glad you said you aren’t foodies. 😂. I was beginning to think you love everything because you all are definitely not picky about the food or the service.
Great video! Could you comment on the crime in Chattanooga? Really thinking about moving there, but crime always comes up.
Hey there! Chattanooga has crime just like any city in the USA. Personally we've never had any issues though.
