Chattanooga guy here - Exile (9:03) is a dive bar! They usually have a smash burger tent set up by the entrance that will make you the most delicious and greasy burger you will ever consume. 10/10

A lot of bbq places have a vinegar based bbq sauce but tomato based is most common

Chattanooga local here! Exile (the third place you tried to go to) is one of the go-to night bars for the younger crowd. Super fun vibe to either sit outside and talk, but also outdoor dance floor vibe with electronic DJ sets pretty often! So funny that you said it was sketch bc that is a loved place in town 😂

Yeah...I may not be from the state(s) where bbq is king, but if I know one thing its that it's gotta come out hot and fresh. XD
She meant as in it needs to be cooled down and microwaved when someone orders it. Can't have meat sitting out for hours if one's ordering it lol. A lot of places do this... food gets cooked in big batches. Cooled down in 2 hours and then reheated when ordered. It's gross.

Fall off the bone bbq doesn't necessarily mean its high quality. Just means it was cooked for a long time. I prefer ribs with a nice texture to them.

You have to ask for traditional, Texas or new Orleans style to get sweet tomato based. Any Carolina style will be vinegar based.

@Jesus_Loves_you2499 I know he does. I have known Jesus since I was 4 years old. He is the only way I make it through this life! I am so grateful for his love and mercy. I am bedbound about 85% of the time due to several physical injuries and autoimmune issues. It is hard, isolating and often feels overwhelming and hopeless. Without him, there wouldn't be enough purpose to go on. I am so grateful that he has given me purpose even on my darkest days.

I grew up in Chattanooga, left for 10 years and have been back nearly 30 years. Never seen or heard of the places y'all went to. We have some great local places; hopefully you might stick around or be willing to come back and try again.
Shufords is on signal mtn Blvd. Been there for a very long time. It's actually good these guys are just dramatic most of the time

Funny story, the BBQ shack on the side of the road (Shuford’s) used to be in a different location, there was a landslide and the roof collapsed. There was only about 8 foot distance between the drive-thru window and the straight up hill the ended up collapsing the roof.
