The roster literally includes two bears, a wooden puppet, an anime robot girl, another beefier robot with a mohawk, a velociraptor, a kangaroo with boxing gloves and Angsty Protagonist With Demon Powers #43. I'm pretty sure it's never been a serious game.

Tekken 6 while stupid in some parts of Jin's story mode shows how desperate he has become just like how the events in Kazuya's life made him even worse than what Jin would ever become.

The story overall for me was a great part one build up but than you realize that's it and than a bit of disappointment happens, it doesn't help that character endings are some the worse of the series.
Dude, they are going to be so disappointed when they find out you only play as like 6 characters and more than half the cast isn't even mentioned let alone seen
Okay, i'm being serious here. I've never understood what was going on in the Tekken Story, and this is coming from a guy who thoroughly enjoys the Mortal Kombat stories, yes even before MK9.
The reason why every Tekken character speaks its own language and everybody understands each other is because King and Armor King can't speak, only roar, so they made up bullshit so they could communicate with everybody.
So they made King and Armor King unable to speak, and in order to resolve that problem, they gave everyone a babel fish. Instead of just letting King and Armor King speak. Sure, that sounds like Tekken.
Heihachi being playable in the console version and all of his parts in the story are a dream, true, but everything else that happened in that plot is canon to the story
Okay, we've literally thrown Kazuya into the volcano ourself, at this point that scene is right next to Batman's parents getting killed in terms of scenes I never need to see again

I don't get why they're singling out Tekken 6's story as stupid. It's always been stupid and Tekken 7 isn't really any much better. Corporations have enough power and money to wage world war somehow, evil demons lurk about, people can turn into demons and fire lasers out of their third eyeballs, and Heihachi cheats death like Snake gets out of comas. Just enjoy the triple A anime schlock without thinking too much about it.

Overall, I agree. I actually like Tekken 6's story quite a bit. However, its flaws are much more apparent. It follows two of the newcomers, Lars and Alisa, who were.... received well by some and poorly by others. If you didn't like Lars, then the story following him immediately becomes less appealing. Also, Jin is off doing some seriously interesting stuff while you're stuck following AnimeMan and RobotGirl in a semi-serious trod across the globe to find out about their pasts. It doesn't help that Jin's plan is explained poorly in an info-dump at the very end of the game. I doubt they're arguing realism in a game where dinosaurs with boxing gloves battle giant schwarzenegger robots. Just how much sense the storytelling and overarching plot make.
I'm not too fond of Tekken 6's story, but I like this one because it has a lot of really hype moments. It's not good, but it's dumb and great. I think if 6 had the set piece moments of this game- or maybe it's just because I'm not too fond of Scenario Campaign? Tekken is dumb, but I'm invested in its nonsense.

Okay, i'm being serious here. I've never understood what was going on in the Tekken Story, and this is coming from a guy who thoroughly enjoys the Mortal Kombat stories, yes even before MK9.

The reason why every Tekken character speaks its own language and everybody understands each other is because King and Armor King can't speak, only roar, so they made up bullshit so they could communicate with everybody.
So they made King and Armor King unable to speak, and in order to resolve that problem, they gave everyone a babel fish. Instead of just letting King and Armor King speak.

Tekken 5 is cannon a dream because Heihachi is unconscious from the blast and doesn't return until 6. That's why he is young Heihachi in TTG2
Heihachi being playable in the console version and all of his parts in the story are a dream, true, but everything else that happened in that plot is canon to the story

I don't get why they're singling out Tekken 6's story as stupid. It's always been stupid and Tekken 7 isn't really any much better. Corporations have enough power and money to wage world war somehow, evil demons lurk about, people can turn into demons and fire lasers out of their third eyeballs, and Heihachi cheats death like Snake gets out of comas. Just enjoy the triple A anime schlock without thinking too much about it.
Andrew Byron This is my own opinion on things, but I feel like Tekken 6's overall storytelling was handled too seriously (so has his one in a degree). Like, I'm not saying it should be wacky and zany, but idk it feels off...

Overall, I agree. I actually like Tekken 6's story quite a bit. However, its flaws are much more apparent. It follows two of the newcomers, Lars and Alisa, who were.... received well by some and poorly by others. If you didn't like Lars, then the story following him immediately becomes less appealing. Also, Jin is off doing some seriously interesting stuff while you're stuck following AnimeMan and RobotGirl in a semi-serious trod across the globe to find out about their pasts. It doesn't help that Jin's plan is explained poorly in an info-dump at the very end of the game.
I doubt they're arguing realism in a game where dinosaurs with boxing gloves battle giant schwarzenegger robots. Just how much sense the storytelling and overarching plot make.
I'm not too fond of Tekken 6's story, but I like this one because it has a lot of really hype moments.
It's not good, but it's dumb and great.
I think if 6 had the set piece moments of this game- or maybe it's just because I'm not too fond of Scenario Campaign?
Tekken is dumb, but I'm invested in its nonsense.
