It honestly feels like they had exactly one bullet point in their plans, it being "Resolve the fucking shit out of Heihachi and Kazuya." And that part they DID do very competently. Everything with those two is good. It's kind of amazing how well they turn Heihachi's whole story around and give him a sendoff that actually feels sad. Everything else, however... yeah, they obviously had NOTHING for anything else and all of that is just terrible shlock filler. It's easy to see what they focused on, on the expense of every other part of the story.
I wonder if this was cut down from a much longer story? It would explain the characters like Claudio who get a lot of time and art assets devoted to their introduction, and then.....just stand around not doing anything for the rest of it. It would also explain why the transition to that final fight feels so abrupt.

It's be a cool angle for Kazuya to learn to fight without the reliance on his devil gene, both as one last triumph over his father and to DESTROY THAT SHITKID JIN COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY

The fight between Kazuya and Heihachi was LEGENDARY... I remember getting Tekken 7 the morning of Launch and getting back home and beating SP in a single sitting, I've spent LITERALLY my WHOLE LIFE (growing up with the PS1, FROM THE VERY BEGINNING) playing the Tekken series and just seeing this shit FINALLY happen was a bloody EVENT... Even though I was rooting for Kazuya (cause he is my Main and has always been my favourite character) I still cried when Heihachi was killed :(

If she didn't do that, Heihachi wouldn't throw Kazuya off a cliff (even if Heihachi didn't Kazuya was mad about his mom.)Kazuya wouldn't have gotten mad, the devil gene wouldn't be revealed, so its Kazumis fault.
The "witch trial" is actually really appropriate. If the woman sunk, she wasn't a witch and would drown. If she floated, she was a witch and would be burnt. Obviously they weren't witches, but if they were... she is now very fucking angry. Kazuya turned out to be the real deal.

Corp finds him revives him he gets a chance to finally meet his son When Heihachi tries to kill him again in the Tournament AND HIS SON HATES HIM for no reason. So by Tekken 6 Kazuya is just done with this shit he's learned that EVERYONE is going to try to kill Him especially if they share blood. I think that's why he smiles in his Tekken 5 ending. He "knows" Jinpachi is going to betray him that's all anyone ever does to him in the Mishima family so he's proud that he finally got someone else first.
CyberNinjaZero Kazuya did a lot wrong. A lot of characters in Tekken 2 entered the tournament because of the crimes the Mishima Zaibatsu committed while Kazuya was in charge. Then there was him willing to kill Jin just to get his powers. He is, at best, an anti-villain. I would argue that he's worse than Heihachi.
I am deeply disappointed that the Kazuya vs Heihachi fight didn't devolve into slap fighting. Because that's basically their relationship at this point.
Dying about 50 times to finally beat Akuma in the special chapter on 10 stars hardest difficulty was not fucking worth it. I regret the use of my time so hard, I could have gone outside or something!

The right way to fill in a plot hole is to dump a slurry of raw sewage and nuclear waste in there. Make the viewer nostalgic for a time when Heihachi throwing his kid off a cliff was a "well you can't stop that rapscallion!" moment.
I actually liked this story mode. Short and sweet just like all the other Tekken games. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a part 2 to this story mode

There's side stories for everyone. The whole point of story mode was the Mishima story. Lucky Chloe doesn't really fit in that story.

The fight between Kazuya and Heihachi was LEGENDARY... I remember getting Tekken 7 the morning of Launch and getting back home and beating SP in a single sitting, I've spent LITERALLY my WHOLE LIFE (growing up with the PS1, FROM THE VERY BEGINNING) playing the Tekken series and just seeing this shit FINALLY happen was a bloody EVENT... Even though I was rooting for Kazuya (cause he is my Main and has always been my favourite character) I still cried when Heihachi was killed :(

If she didn't do that, Heihachi wouldn't throw Kazuya off a cliff (even if Heihachi didn't Kazuya was mad about his mom.)Kazuya wouldn't have gotten mad, the devil gene wouldn't be revealed, so its Kazumis fault.

The "witch trial" is actually really appropriate.

Kazuya turned out to be the real deal.

Think about it when he's around 5 his father murders his mother and for all he knows does the same to his loving grandfather then throws him off a cliff. He gets revenge meets a "mysterious and fearless woman" they name their son after his loving grandpa... then he loses and "dies" G. Corp finds him revives him he gets a chance to finally meet his son When Heihachi tries to kill him again in the Tournament AND HIS SON HATES HIM for no reason. Seriously Kazuya did nothing to Jin to earn his hatred Jin just hates him because. So by Tekken 6 Kazuya is just done with this shit he's learned that EVERYONE is going to try to kill Him especially if they share blood. I think that's why he smiles in his Tekken 5 ending. He "knows" Jinpachi is going to betray him that's all anyone ever does to him in the Mishima family so he's proud that he finally got someone else first.
In Tekken 4, Kazuya was trying to take the devil gene from Jin even if it meant killing him.
Kazuya's a very tragic character who's actions you could say really stem all the way from really shitty parenting from Heihachi.
CyberNinjaZero Kazuya did a lot wrong. A lot of characters in Tekken 2 entered the tournament because of the crimes the Mishima Zaibatsu committed while Kazuya was in charge. Then there was him willing to kill Jin just to get his powers. He is, at best, an anti-villain. I would argue that he's worse than Heihachi.

OHMYGOD at 13:12 when kazuya is getting knocked back and sliding you can see for a split second an "iew" on his pants on his right thigh area. in unreal 4 before lighting is built it will have a default "preview" decal to it and i am 1000% sure that's what that is. fuckin excellent!
The right way to fill in a plot hole is to dump a slurry of raw sewage and nuclear waste in there. Make the viewer nostalgic for a time when Heihachi throwing his kid off a cliff was a "well you can't stop that rapscallion!" moment.

I actually liked this story mode. Short and sweet just like all the other Tekken games. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a part 2 to this story mode

Considering that Akuma fights Asura into a standstill and is now fighting the literal devil, Akuma now guarantees never before seen results.
Well i was hoping that they would do the side characters stories since they are each only one battle, partly because i want to see them react to the endings of some like Eliza's, but in the end that is there choice.
So if Kazumi was send to kill Heihachi, doesn´t that mean... that Heihachi is Aquaman?
