I went to Babylon last year, it's amazing and it's indescribable how the most important and fascinating city in the world at that time to become uninhabited in nowadays. Standing in place that is thousands of years old will give unique feeling.

The fear of the Lord helps to preserve us from sin by putting us in an act of submission before His awesome glory and to revere Him with all our might. To not fear God is to shamelessly stand before Him with all your guilt and sin which only Christ, who was sinless, was able to do. Psalm 112:1 reads, "Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in His commandments!" If you want to, search up verses regarding the fear of the Lord. We should have fear of Him, not like an enemy or something frightening, but rather as He being awesome and worthy of all our praise. I know you didn't say this intentionally and were just trying to kindly correct someone however to not fear God is exactly what Satan does. Satan acknowledges God but absolutely opposes Him in every aspect. Satan began to not fear God as he thought of himself as being powerful and exalted higher than God. But Satan quickly realized that he was infinitesimally lower than God.
1. 10 Nations of Europe will be Satan's last and Final Empire and GERMANY will be the lead Nation of it. Europe is already transferring its power over to Germany.
2. Germany and 9 others represent the Feet and Toes of the Statue of Daniel. Germany being the Iron and the other 9 Nations being the Clay. (Iron and Clay do not mix well like Oil and Water does not either).
3. Europe will form its own military to come.
4. This Military of Europe, will be given to a man God calls "THE BEAST OF REVEALTIONS" aka "THE FIRST BEAST" aka "THE KING OF THE NORTH" and the Beasts power, will be his military that these 10 Nations create for him to use against the world.
*When this handing over of Europe's military to a man, to take command of = The World will know Who is one of Satan's 2 Generals (Also, counterfeit to Gods 2 Witnesses to come) are to lead mankind into WW 3 = End of life on Earth (Jesus stops this of course with his return. Otherwise, mankind and all life would die on the Earth).
Then there is the Church of Babylon aka The Vatican and its leader aka "THE SECOND BEAST" aka "THE FALSE PROPHET". He is the other counterfeit to Gods 2 witnesses to come.
5. These 2 will preach what Satan has raised mankind into following thinking it is of Gods but, never was. While, Gods 2 witnesses will preach what is Gods that Satan kept mankind from knowing and mankind will not pick Gods 2 witnesses for they do not know what they preach, but they know what Satan's 2 counterfeits do and will oppose Gods 2 witnesses as being Evil.

When I was on my first tour in Iraq I had the chance to actually take a tour of Babylon. I have pictures from that tour and it has some ruins not seen in this video. I could share them if you want to see them. Pictures of Alexander the Greats thron room and the lion stone on top of a man in what was the arena area. This was before the counter attacks that tour some of this up. I was there in 2003.

I was there in 2003 too!!!! It was our military base for 6 months. We probably saw each other. USMC? They had an old man that knew everything and took us on a tour. You could walk the ruins alone or take the tour with the old man. They started selling the newer bricks with the Sadam stamp but I felt it was wrong to take anything from there. Many guys bought them and took them home.

When I was in Iraq, I was fascinated with the state of the sites. I got to explore Ur for many hours, drove through Nineveh. In Ur, there was pottery like gravel all over the place! I was blown away to pick up a piece where you could see the Potter had run his finger across and lifted it up, leaving a ridge. Knowing that guy had been dead for thousands of years and here was about as a personal of a detail as you can get. Basically a fingerprint. Amazing!

@@codyalexander3290 Hello Cody, I've been a believer in Jesus Christ since October of 1967. I've studied the word of God (daily) from my youth from my father, who had been a minister of the gospel. I subsequently studied in seminary went on missionary trips to further the good news. I've studied Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic to better understand His word in its original language by the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 55:11 is Messianic but we were translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Light. So that also applies to all those of the household of faith (the Church). May the Lord richly bless you with his insight and understanding through the infilling power of the Holy Spirit as you contend for the faith. Amen.

That's simply not true. What you're going through is called confirmation bias. This is interesting to me but mostly because I study biblical history. But the concept that your version of Christ is somehow something everybody needs is absolutely ridiculous. It's that kind of Christianity, that closed-minded idea that you have everything and everybody doesn't is one of the problems with this faith and every other one I've come into contact with.

As I have been reading the Bible over the past several months, I just finished the book of Jeremiah. I always like to find out the current names of the cities mentioned. I came on TH-cam to find out about Babylon, if it still exists with the same name or does it have a different name, and came across your video! All I can say is WOW!! Your video has left me speechless, especially after finishing the book and already being inspired by Jeremiah's story and now being able to see what had been prophesied! Thank you for this video! I lived in Babylon for about 7 months during OIF in 2003. I toured the restored city areas. We used one of those large, open areas near the hanging gardens for fun sports-related PT some mornings. We had tents (eventually small trailers) by a pond to the north of the big outdoor theater there. So awesome seeing this place years later. It was basically the same when I was there. I actually had a promotion ceremony just inside the mock blue "Ishtar gate" at the entrance to the restored area. The real Ishtar gate, if I recall correctly, is on display in Germany.
I was in Iraq in 04, based out of Camp Slayer by the BIAP. We convoyed to Babylon to pick up some old rockets, near where the Polish military was barracked. Unfortunately I never had the chance to see much of the ruins

For Jere. 50:3 to be accurate, no one is to dwell there. I have known for some time as well, that our military dwelt there. Therefore, the only conclusion one can arrive at, Babylon must be rebuilt and totally destroyed as the word of God says it will. A former US Marine.

As we rose up, everyone was adorned in beautiful white light, & gathered into circular tiers in the clouds with the light of YHVH streaming through the middle of the circular rings, and everything that was happening was narrated to me in perfect prose. I was able to experience what it felt to be set free from my sin nature and it is beyond freeing, clean, glorious. I also realized our lives are a gift to lay at the feet of Christ Jesus - and how I wished I had an even better gift. I believe our time is so short. God bless.
Question:Why doesn't the bible talk about the chaos caused by the sudden disappearance of millions and millions of people?...Wouldn't the bible explain how the world functions with the sudden disapperance of some important people who just vanished?

Interesting. I was at Babylon in the mid 1960s, and it was indeed desolate. Of course at that time, Sadam's palace was not there or any of his restoration work, nor were there any modern buildings of any type in the surrounding area as shown today. Somewhere in all my packed artifacts from around the world, I have a couple of bricks from Babylon. In those past days you could take anything one want to take. No one cared in the least. When YHWA foretells that something will happen, it does without fail.

@@leeannahchampion9283 Because absolutely no one cared about it back then, and there were literally hundreds of thousands of bricks and other things like pottery shards and even small figurines littering the ground. I have artifacts from all over the world that were given to me either by locals or the archaeologists in the dig. It was very different than it is now.

Omggggg!!! I just got done reading the book of Jeremiah and was spirit led to look up what or where Babylon is and I ended up here! I always wanted to find people of faith who work in these type of industries for this very reason, so glad I found someone! About 10 years ago I had an opportunity to visit Israel. One of the things I wanted to look at while there, was places where God in the Bible had pronounced specific judgments. I wanted to see with my own eyes the fulfillment of these ancient pronouncements of judgment. I visited Chorazin, Capernaum, Jerusalem, and Ashkelon. I found the ancient pronouncements to be very accurate in what I saw. This has been immensely helpful in teaching my children, as well as in evangelism.

I’ve been to Israel too while stationed in the Marines. We got a chance to take advantage of
Liberty and go out on the town. The prophecy of Jesus came to mind. The holy land shall be trodden down by the Gentiles until the Messiah returns, but Jesus isn’t here yet so I was confused who were the people that were there? Also prophecy says when the biblical people are in the land they shall practice war no more. Tensions and violence are often high between Israel and Palestinians living in East Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank. The prophecies isn’t matching up with the people that’s there.

I was on the ground here in 2003 as a US Marine. Towards the end of my tour, the First Marine Division took over Saddam’s palace there in Babylon (Al Hila if I remember?) and turned that area into a major base of operations for multiple allied forces operating in the area. We were operating in the north running counter insurgencies until it was time to rotate out of country, so we were retrograded to that base in Babylon. We had a local Iraqi historian/archeologist walk us through some of these amazing sites. I wasn’t a believer at the time but it’s definitely an experience that opened the door to my salvation now.

That was a good question. Do you really think that when God judged ancient Babylon that NO PEOPLE EVER LIVED in the area of Babylon after it was destroyed? ( Jer 51:61-62) Of course people tried to live there. What happened when they did? NOTHING. The reason is that this prophecy concerning Babylon has not been fulfilled yet. There is documented history that MANY people throughout the centuries lived in the area of ancient Babylon. You can easily google the info.
There was one family with a small "house" there when I was there in 2003 (OIF). She would make flat bread in a stone oven we happily paid her for. To this day, I'm not sure how they were allowed to stay there when Babylon became a FOB for several countries during the war.
@@ranger5572 God is very accurate in what He said in Jer 51:61-62. This one family probably had animals too. God means what He says. Jer 51:61-62 has not been literally fulfilled yet. When it does this family and their animals will not be alive and living in the area of ancient Babylon in the future because it will be destroyed .

When one reads The Holy Bible and matches it with the historical and acheological evidence that is being unearthed over the past couple of hundred years, it truly does speak to the truth of The Word of God and assures us that all of God's Word will be fulfilled.

Hey Joel, I actually discovered your channel yesterday, and I really love what you share. I like how you link-up the ancient world with the biblical account, and I totally agree with you. I was born and raised in Baghdad, and all that's said about Babylon in this vid is true. No one lives in ancient Babylon at all, and there are a lot of wild animals, hyenas, wolves, etc… ancient Babylon has become the land of wild animals.

Can't emphasize enough how INSPIRING I found this video; given the conflicting information I've gotten before on this issue. I've watched it more than once just absorbing all of the detail, and started watching other videos to get more context. Never heard a minister / pastor ever cover this topic. The Sodom (Bab edh-Dhra) and Gomorrah (Numeira) video, I had the same reaction; it's about time they took archaeology more seriously.
