As a modern-day Assyrian, I feel a sense of pride knowing that the library of our ancient king Ashurbanipal has helped to verify and confirm many Biblical characters, dates, and facts. Moreover, to this day, our liturgy maintains the Aramaic language as spoken to the people of Assyria by Saints Thaddeus, Thomas, Mari, and Bartholomew. 🙏🏻✝️
I think it would be amazing to find the entries for Jonah's arrival. I've wondered at times, what He must have looked like, after 3 days of hydrochloric acid, then journeying overland to the city. Raw and red? Swollen? Missing hair? What did his clothes look like?

On March 26th 2022,
just past midnight,
I was restless in bed,
my limbs became numb & tingly,

Go to Israel! Most of it is still open despite the war. Check out Signature Tours. They do Christian tours of holy sites and they are _amazing._ Prices are more reasonable than you’d think and accommodations are honestly kinda luxurious.

The same "science" that showed a model of with Moon orbiting Earth in the wrong direction or the one that deceptively made it look like and said it gets "pitch black" during a total solar eclipse? If they deceive in small things they will deceive in big things.
I thoroughly enjoy these videos. They don't cause me to believe, the Lord has done that. However, they give me a real world framework for the events in the Bible. Thank you.

On a personal note I lived in Izmir, Turkey from 1975-77 while my dad worked at the NATO HQs there. I think I experienced the same solar eclipse in April 1976 that you experienced in Saudi Arabia. I was on a field trip with my 8th grade class to Ephesus that day where we experienced it. Now I can attach a date to my memory too! Thank you!

I would add the the fact that, in addition to the eclipse, since the Ninevites worshipped Dagon, the fish god, Jonah's being vomited on the beach out of the belly of a fish also had a part in the Ninevites believing him.

I noticed also in the Assyrian annuls, that they mounted an expedition to Ararat, which location is biblically very significant .
For some years now I wanted to start a project that I called “The Calendar Project” to map modern and ancient calendars to each other, including eclipses. Past month I was even searching for eclipses mentioned in the Annals of old England. It surprised me that this video popped up, and I love that I can add another eclipse to my project.
Add the blood moon lunar eclipse of 3rd April 33 ad, friday when Jesus was crucified. And July 14, 1406 bc when Joshua had the battle of gibeon.
If you are good at math, or just patient, verify Egyptian chronology using the sothic calendar with its epoch starting at jdn 171868 or july 20, 4243 bc as proven by james lowdermilk. And you can add August 2, 979 bc as the solar eclipse of mursili ii according to eulalio eguia

That doesn't mean that man's additions, deletions, mis-translations are.
As a trained astronomer, I have often felt ostracized by fellow believers who label that field as being atheistic. It's encouraging to see a video that shows the value of Astronomy in Biblical studies. By the way, one reason the eclipse catalogs only go forward or back so far is the limited precision to which the masses, positions and velocities of the Sun, Moon and planets are known. That will likely improve with better technology. Also, the darkness while Jesus was on the cross was almost surely not due to a Solar Eclipse since such events last at most around 8 minutes and that period of darkness lasted 3 hours.

This year, 2024, at the time of the eclipse, was the first time that I heard about Nineveh having an eclipse at the time of Jonah! So much truth coming out!

Don't forget that Jonnah tried to run from his duty and yet his proclamation occurred during the eclipse. God is sovereign in spite of our free will.
@@kurtwinslow2670- That's the not in Scripture based proposition that speculates that combination of Jonah with this Eclipse. According to the biblical timeline Jonah lived in the time of JEROBEAM II. King of Israel 825 - 785 BC [2King 14,23]. Consequently if there would have been any eclipse in Niniveh in combination with Jonah (not mentioned in Scripture, only speculation) it rather would have been the one in 24th June 791 BC

The new moon tells you the month
The seasons tell you the year
The years are counted by each cycle
The good LORD God Almighty created everything perfectly including his Word which tells you how many years people lived and ruled. We use the Truth the Word of God to tell us what time it is, and his precise timing of the elements so we can count. Amen. What a good God we have!

I just want to thanks you for your videos. My son is 17 years old and Autistic. I have been praying that God will get through to him in a language he can understand. Spiritual things are hard for autistic people to grasp, because it is not a physical construct. But since he has been watching your videos he has been consuming everything he can about biblical archeology! He even took my giant study Bible and is reading it every spare moment because it also contains a lot of biblical archeology in its pages. This channel has been an answered a prayer for 17 years! My son has a passion for the Bible and all that it contains for the first time in his life!

Makes sense that an eclipse would allow us to set the dates of past events. That's one of the reasons God gave for creating the sun and the moon.
