If you know you are struggling the softeners does take some time, but will eventually work. However, if you are in desperate need, then yes have an enema on hand for the household.

Can you talk about relaxing the muscle to poop vs pushing the poop? They say not to strain but the internet always gives extreme cases like straining very hard for 20 minutes. But sometimes I feel like I need to give the poop a push to get it out rather than relaxing. I just had a hemorrhoidectomy and I don’t want to ruin it by getting more.

Practicing Functional medicine is what has truly saved me besides God, but I have this severe pain and bloating, along with many other issues, but started with toxic exposure to mold etc then lead to lupus on and on.
But with all my illnesses and injuries the gut is more pain and dibilitating. Even the enima doesn’t work. Only colonics. Then I saw you were in OC CA. What a new years gift. Now I have to see if you take my insurance. I also have a friend I help that needs a proctologist who is UCI hospital as we speak.

My fissure retore a month ago and what has helped me the most is to use a bulb enema after I have a bowel movement to make sure I am able to completely empty my bowels. My stool is always very soft. But I was dreading having another bowel movement in the afternoon because of the spasms. Also it helps me not to strain because I know that I can just use my small enema bulb and inject a small amount of tap water into the rectal vault and within 30 seconds of using it, I can finish my bowel movement. This seems to be the easiest way for me to avoid straining and also make sure I am completely empty. But after watching your video, I am now slightly concerned that I will become dependent. My fissure is healing and my pain is more manageable now. I thought that by using the small bulb enema, that is would help prevent the left over stool in my rectal vault from touching the fissure to prevent bacterial contamination of my fissure. Should I just stop doing this? If I stop then I will definitely have another bowel movement in the afternoon. I’ve always been a 2 times per day person and really trying to have only one bowel movement per day.

I am on antibiotics and painkillers. I have also not gone to the toilet in a week, but I also do not feel the urge to. I am not sure if am constipated, but I am told the medicine I am taking likely has made me constipated. My question is, would it be advisable to do a small enema to help things move? I am asking because I am having pain in my side, but I am putting that down to uretera spasms and also a urine infection., not being constipated, but for all I know the pain might be from constipation. I don't want to put you on the spot, and I understand for medical reasons you might not want to advise on this. Thanks in advance though.

I have a great case study for you. I was on a optislim keto diet. I got constipated after about 1.5 months. I went a few days, didn't worry me. After a week, I was taking laxatives like..... alot. After 2 weeks, I was desperate. I tried an emulsion laxative, pills, suppositories, no relief. I went to hospital twice, only to be sent home with no scan or help because I was not in alot of pain, just super bloated. So after 35 days of no poop, I went to my gp and begged for a colonoscopy prep kit. I drank 4 cups of pico prep and I got nothing. 16 hours later, I pooped a tiny bit! Now remember during this whole time, I took huge doses of many different laxatives. And then I basically pooped water, runny stools for about 2 to 3 months every 20 or so minutes. I was absolutely stunned how long this whole ordeal took, but I definitely should have gone for urgent surgery in my opinion.

Please hear me Dr. Chug, I used water enema (using a handheld bidet) ever since I was 9 (I'm 27 now), I used it even when I didn't need to, as it felt awesome to have a clean rectum, I was also straining to get things out quick even when not constipated at all. Now after I developed hemorrhoids and chronic anal fissures, I realized that I was abusing my anus, but still I can't get over enema. My poop just never comes out without it even though I eat fibre and drink lots of water (3L a day!!) Did I break my rectum? How can someone recover from this?

My detox pathways are clogged because of mold toxicity. My brain feels very toxic after taking binders or anti-fungals to kill the mold. I know it’s because the toxins are continually recirculating. Because of this, I do an enema (just water) every day so that I can completely rid my body of all endotoxins. When I take a break from the protocol, I poop naturally with no issues.
