Waiting for pranicura order to come not preparation H suppository hurt so bad to put it in but then after a little bit, it felt better using tux pads, preparation, H hemorrhoid cream and got the soaking minerals. They felt good but it was hard to sit in the bath. Thank you so much for talking about these problems. I feel so much more empowered to help myself.

They make a fissure burn like hell. My drs seemed to think they're cure-alls. I went to 3 different doctors when I first had my fissure, none of them even mentioned a fissure.
I even had a colonoscopy for that reason and no fissure was reported.
I was in so much pain I couldn't do anything so I told my Dr I have to do something, so he set me up with a surgeon for hemorrhoids which is what all the drs said I had.
As soon as I talked to the surgeon he said it sounded like a fissure. That was the first time anyone mentioned fissure.
He set me up for surgery and told me my pain would be gone and it was.
Of all the drs that I have seen none of them even looked at my anus.
That was twenty years ago and now I'm having problems again.
    I wish you were closer

Hello doc, my name is Sachin Vinith and I'm from India
It's very hard finding doc these days who are compassionate especially in this type of specialisation. I seen so many of your videos and got strength from it. I know you have always been there for us and even in my darkest times I think you as my guide for making me feel better.
Please keep doing what you do best I know how very hard situation from our bottom end can be and believe me I have countless days of thinking suicide as my next step but hold on PPL I'm surely gotten better after 3 years you can get better on your journey so there's always hope. Bottom end is connected directly to our mental issues so I'd keep it in check if I'm suffering. Anyway thanks doc. - With love from India

At the moment I use 3 a week on average which work quickly and help a lot.

I can't take them orally due to stomach operation and ulcerative colitis. Plus, I've heard using them too often that this can thin the lining of colon/rectum. I also have a collaped colon, which means I have literally digitised every time I need to poo. This has now cause a pocket that I have manipulate from outside the rectum to get anything that's got caught in there.

sinus infection they put me on prednisone and amoxicillin and iputopimine I got acid reflux so I added pepcid to the mix. Well I've had constipation only a few times in my life but this time it's horrible all of these meds except amox cause constipation. I would rather deal with acid reflux than this..... I need to start reading side effect more closely. HUH

Dear very friendly and apparently knowledgeable Dr. Chung, About 10 years ago or so, shortly after I turned 60, I started to have hemorrhoids for the first time. Realizing that they were forming inside and just outside of my sphincter (isn't that name for the circular muscle a synonym for the anus?), it occurred to me back then that the Prep H suppositories my Primary Care Physician (PCP) recommended would have little to no prolonged contact with those surfaces. So I tried pressing them in just so far that the flat end (as opposed to the pointed "bullet" end) could be felt at the opening of the anus. The problem was that they would more often than not slip out and make a soggy mess of my underwear. Thankfully, I could feel when that happened and was able to get to a nearby men's room to prevent the moisture from penetrating the nearby material of the seat of my pants. When I called my PCP to ask about this, he said to fully insert them - just as you recommended NOT to do. So how do you prevent a melting Prep H suppository from depositing most of its beneficial substance in your shorts and not where it's needed most?

is it safe to use silver ointment in the anus? I saw someone say they rubbed it in on the opening of their anal fistula and it helped it close on its own (without surgery)

Silver used to be used as an anti-infective in the 1800’s and earlier. It kind of is but it is a metal that has a level of toxicity to human cells. People who drink silver infused water will turn blue, permanently. Holistic preparations that contain minuscule levels are safe to some degree but not systematically. Emuaid contains a micro level of silver I have used it internally for fissures it was somewhat effective and had no side effect except a mild transient burning sensation because it had tea tree oil in it too. Using it externally reduced my sentinel pile to no longer being there. According to emuaid their product is non toxic from my experience I think that’s true. But I’d be careful using any product containing silver your body does absorb what you use rectally.

there is absolutely zero chance of a suppository staying in the tight part of the sphincter, the suppository is longer than the anus, preparation H anyway... if i dont get them all the way past the sphincter they shoot out like a greased marble onto the floor... they still seem very effective when used this way... they reduce my spage 4 to about stage 1 or 2... and will prevent them from getting that bad if i put in a new one every two or three hours... except when im working on ladders, especially with my arms up highor have to move around a lot of heavy stuff, theyre always worst on those jobs...

This was really helpful. It appears I have been inserting them incorrectly. I usually push the suppository up until it is sucked in, so I'm sure it is going in the rectum and not staying in my anus. I was prescribed anal rockets but had to discontinue them because of the cost ($15 per suppository) and because they were huge. I didn't know I could get them "sized". I may try them again, if the compounding pharmacy will make them smaller.

I deeply wish that you could source income from donations/patreon etc. rather than commercial products. Supporting a scientifically unproven and untested product whose website makes exaggerated claims, and where product reviews are filtered to only display consumers who give it a high rating - it's just such a shame. Your credibility flies out the window. You provide good, useful information - if only you could find a way to make money without undermining your credibility. Please find a way.
