I’ve been waiting on the bike like this - Long distance capable without major annoyances and full on power. Prior in chasing this combo, I bought 22 KTM SAS when it came out, sold after 6 months and 7000 miles. Too adventure, not a sport tourer and nowhere near SDR’s mojo that I loved so much and couldn’t make work for long distance.. travelled out of state to ride old buddy’s Pikes Peak V4S for a full day - didn’t do it for me again. Waited on 1390 SDGT for so long, but KTM put priority on the SDR instead - their flagship I guess, when Gen 3 machine was plenty awesome already and the current SDGT is so outdated. And then BMW came through so unexpectedly. Fingers crossed I like it but taking a leap of faith a little. This review gives me good assurance though!
