    About 12 weeks in to Bryan's course now. Partly coming to it from the wisdom he imparted on Homeskoolin - figuring even though I'm not a bluegrass diehard I could badly use the deep stuff Bryan can teach. It's been way more than I could have expected. The amount of material, the way it progresses, and the quality of it is just astonishing. Highly, highly recommended.

      Also in the AW class! Couldn’t agree more.

      Where you already a decent player to start? I've thought about trying Bryan's course, I already did Guthries, but I didn't get much out of it

    • @iantaylor827
      @iantaylor827 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BobbyCulpepper.srv3fenderI'd say I was an intermediate player. Bryan's course splits into Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, Improv. I'm into the Intermediate stuff now but spent a fair bit of time in Basic - there's a lot of important stuff there and my right-hand flatpicking was pretty non-existent. I did the 30-day intro just to make sure I'd like it - I get paid in Australian pesos so everything US$ costs - then went to 1 year.

    I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan a few weeks back in Nashville - just a chance meeting at a show he and I both attended. As expected, he was very nice, and graciously spent a few minutes chatting with me. When I told him how much I enjoyed the Homeskoolin' episodes that featured you guys at work, he smiled and said "Buk is a Good Dude and an amazing talent". Hard to argue with that. I looked at signing up for Bryan's lessons, but just haven't pulled the trigger. This sealed the deal. Thanks again.

    The analogy of driving a car and playing guitar is just great. It perfectly explains the situation when you control what you play, but also listen to other musicians and letting the music and instrument drive you. That balance is hard to achieve to be perfect, but when you do it's just a feeling that's hard to describe. Thanks a lot for this. :)
