Bryan definitely sounds like a very intuitive, highly intelligent, articulate person defining why he is such a great teacher of acoustic instruments. It is obvious that his entire life has been focused on becoming one of the greatest versatile acoustic musicians and top level session players. One can only imagine but appreciate, how much time he has put in practicing and refining his specific style of playing. In this regard, one can liken him to Tommy Emmanuel and Joe Banamassa both of which have spent their entire lives focusing in on refining their craft and becoming the best at what they do.
the thing that's amazing to me is just how much Bryan's credo sounds like my guitar hero and favorite musical philosopher Maestro Tony Rice. between Tony, Bryan, and Chris Eldridge, i have plenty of homework to do. and look forward to that labor of love every day. subscribed
Nice interview, very insightful and informing. Everyone needs to see this to understand the state of mind, the flow and process of a successful musician. Thank you for posting this.
Ah, I never knew that Anthony Burger helped Bryan get his start. Anthony was a big encourager of a lot of young people (me included). He passed away far too young (in his 40s). If you're not familiar with Anthony as a pianist, he was quite something to see onstage. Look him up on TH-cam for something quite amazing.
I am not a fan of Bluegrass music but this man can sure play acoustic guitar. I would love to meet him and hand him a Telecaster and say "here, try this". I bet he would sound phenomenal.
Pure gold for all musicians.
Great interview, thank you. It's Bryan's world, the rest of us just live here.
Thanks Randy! Bryan’s definitely one of a kind!
"To know what you know and what you do not know, that is true knowledge." Sutton is the Confucius of the acoustic guitar.
Love that! Couldn’t agree more!
He’s an unbelievable guitar player. I don’t get how he can play so fast and keep it totally clean.
I've learned a lot from Bryan every time I've heard him speak. So thanks to you guys for doing this and thank you sir for your skill and wisdom.
Thanks for sharing! We're stoked to hear you enjoyed it!
Internalized wisdom and latitude of mind…amazing where devotion and full honest intention will lead you… Jeep
Bryan is the greatest!!

Thanks for sharing this great interview! I dunno if you noticed this in the edit, but there is a slide over the last 5 minutes of the interview.
Thanks for watching! We had a glitch at the end of the video file and had to replace the ending with the graphic.

Great interview - BS voice doesn't have that much bass in his voice though lol
