Molly is such a beautiful woman, beautiful picker and a beautiful soul. I have been watching her develop with her family band for 10 years and here she is now. Wonderful!
She always looks like she’s having the time of her life. You can tell she takes it seriously, think of all the practice!, but you can also tell she just loves doing it. Best of luck and much success to her.
My two favorite guitar players in the whole world. Bryan, whom I've followed for over two decades when he first filled in for an ailing Tony Rice, and Molly since she made the cover of Acoustic Guitar magazine. Two tasteful flatpickers who know what they are doing.
Perfect. These are current icons of Bluegrass music today. I believe Bryan plays a Bourgeois and Molly plays a Huss & Dalton. What a great time for guitar players. Of Course, Martin and Gibson are still making great guitars, but now with the internet the smaller manufactures have emerged. This keeps the big players on there toes. The Martin Authentics are appealing, but...?
For those two guitars not to be old Martin's they have amazing tone, but then again look at the two guitarists... Bryan & Molly smooth, flawless flat pickers. Great job!
I notice Bryan plays St. Anne’s Reel out of the natural key oF D shape and Molly uses a capo and plays it out of C shape. She is now one of my favorites...and seems like a beautiful down to earth person.
Great playing! I wish I could play bluegrass like that. I noticed your shirt says something about Asheville. I live about 17 miles from there. That is actually were I just got my new guitar at the Asheville, NC Guitar Center.
You are quite inspirational Miss Molly Tuttle. Your enthusiasm and Your Love of music flows's through You with inspiration and incredible creativity. I would like to achieve Your type skill's. ( Dyerelict if topic is language.) I like to challenge Myself to the impossible. For instance the courage write this.... How ever I'd settle for a Jamm session with You, Miss Tuttle.+ of course. Some violinist, Drum's. The possibillyties' are countless.. This would be an every 1 wins scenario. With Awesome perpetual memorie's to last.... Thank You for educating Me. Alex Walker. P.S. To keep getting musically educated. Great New's!! I have subscribed, Thumb's up. Bell's and whistles and All. For All. Happy 4rth every 1.
I actually took it that he had high hopes for the friendship, as in they had a lot of playing to do TOGETHER to cement their friendship, not that she had a lot of playing to do to come up to speed.
Bryan, I hope the comment about Molly being new on the scene was just a joke . I have been watching Molly, her Dad and brothers along with AJ Lee for Many years. I know today You Tube is full of guitar players and good ones at that and Molly is way up on the list of being one of the best out there. I wish her very well as she certainly deserves it.
Bryan has been on the scene as it were for over 20 years compared to that she is new,and he knows how good she is.she beat him out for IBMA guitar player of the year.
Was the St. Anne’s Reel? I couldn’t quite catch the name of the song. I’m looking for a second bluegrass tune to learn. Maybe this would be the one (second one). 🎶😸🎶
People can talk about, praise and worship Billy Strings all they want. Bryan Sutton will always be the truest bad ass to ever pick up the guitar and shred it, in my opinion. I love Molly's style and her cuteness too. Is she single?
Yeah, I wonder if they were looking for a raps songs and just ended up here? Or, they are just jealous because they do not have the complex musical brain combined with the highest level of motor skills in their hands required to play at that high a level.
Maybe it's not their kind of music. Bluegrass isn't for everyone. I guess it's possible to recognise the skill, the wizardry without enjoying the music. It's a free country, after all . . .
Molly's using two techniques. Her basic technique is flawless for a start but the two are loose wrist rhythm playing and then anchoring the palm at the bridge for solo stuff. The switching is seamless. All done with a claw hammer. There's no buzzing ,no missed nuff'n. Back to the drawing board for me.
Henning Andersen I'd say a lot. I heard an interview of Bryan and he said when he records a break for an album. If a producer asks him to play the break again he can't do it exactly the same because so much is improvised.

This is great in view of the fact that she’s won two IBMA awards since this interview. First female IBMA guitar player of the year. Go Molly!
Found this girl for the first time yesterday and it was love at first sight/listen.
Brian's lick on the B part, specifically at 1:30 where he slides up, is just amazing! Compliments the chord change and chord voicing so well

She is a really nice lady and a great flatpicker as well. Brian is very respectful, he is a gentleman!
I was at RockyGrass the day they both played.two of my favorites for sure.watching them play together is a real treat.
She´s got that special "flow", which exceeds words like "groove" etc. One in a million, or more.
Not really, if you don't have flow, you don't get into the groove.
Fantastic! Both great players!
New?!! I've been listening to her for at least 10 years!!!
Both are great pickers. Bryan has been around a long time, and Molly will be.
Perfect. These are current icons of Bluegrass music today. I believe Bryan plays a Bourgeois and Molly plays a Huss & Dalton. What a great time for guitar players. Every now and then God makes one special and I hope She knows how special she is.
God bless you Molly.
It's better if she doesn't.
It's better if she doesn't.
That might be the best of the best right there.
This young lady is just spectacular.
Her face shouldn't look so relaxed and natural playing like that! She is scary good.
For those two guitars not to be old Martin's they have amazing tone, but then again look at the two guitarists... Bryan & Molly smooth, flawless flat pickers. Great job!
Molly is playing a Huss & Dalton. I can't tell what Bryan is playing.
@@richardperkins5046 That's a Caleb Smith D-28
I’ve almost got the tuning down so it shouldn’t be long until I can accompany Ms.Tuttle on tour.😳😬😁
Lol...
This is so good. Molly taught banjo at the bluegrass camp I attended a couple years ago. R
Two awesome players! I have a great, old bluegrass mandolin instructional book by Jack Tuttle and this answered my question of their relation.
St Anne’s reel is one o f my favorite fiddle tunes. They did a nice job.

What needs to be said? Two of the very best, in all respects. Eagerly awaiting Molly's CD. Hot Rize's next will be ...?
Representing Asheville NC, my home is to the North but still really close.
She just won the ibma award for the best guitar player of the year!!!
They are great!!!!! Very nice to watch them play great and kick it!!!

Awesome stuff! 😊
Wish these two would record an album.
Awesome as always! Great picking! 😎
Great artists. Both of them.
high hopes?? she's one of the best pickers i've ever seen!!
Think he was just kidding her but it did come across as sort of patronizing. She showed him. Guitar player of the year 2017 IBMA.
I actually took it that he had high hopes for the friendship, as in they had a lot of playing to do TOGETHER to cement their friendship, not that she had a lot of playing to do to come up to speed.
He was completely joking. Geezus, Internet! Grr.
yeah, definitely seemed to be referring to the friendship.
it's called sarcasm.
Such a sweet deserving girl. A kind soul.
She's awesome!
It's always a pleasure to see an artist enjoying their gifts when they share them with us.
Nice interview and nice folks too!
HELLO, The sound quality for this internet posted online video is good. I wonder what microphone) Molly and Brian chose.
2 of my favorites - thanks!
Excellent!!!
Bryan seems like just about the nicest guy imaginable.
Yes but what about his Filthy mind.😂🤣😂
Awe Bryan!! Got all smitten and forgot he was taking the second break!

You Miss are a BEAST!!! Reminds me of Joni Mitchell, and Glen Campbell.
For me it's Doc Watson and Emmylou Harris
She plays so effortlessly
beautiful
beautiful playing both...
Awesome!!
See you in March, 2019, Molly... in Wisconsin!
Beautiful playing, fan of both. Like that Asheville shirt too 😊
M. Bradley an Enka shirt would be the only thing better!
Enka Jets!
She is something!!!
You should mention what make, model, and woods guitars you are playing.
Was the St. Anne’s Reel? I couldn’t quite catch the name of the song. I’m looking for a second bluegrass tune to learn. Maybe this would be the one (second one). 🎶😸🎶
yes.
Molly Tuttle is soooooooo beautiful 😍
Your scaring me with that thang. Put it away your mum's back.😳🤪😳

shes just so goddamn good
Molly is amazing; Bryan is a bit stagestruck with her, not to mention a bit gooey-eyed! Cute!
those two chords at 1:40 are my favorite part..
I love her smile
Sehr gut, vielen Dank, liebe diese Musik: Which Guitars do you both? play. Thanks for your answer!
Molly is playing a Huss & Dalton, Bryan has many guitars and this one I don't recognize.
Molly Huss&Dalton Bryan Bourgeois
Great T Shirt Bryan!
Sounds great 👍
She makes it looks so easy.
She's awesome man
Yay Molly Tuttle
Kinda shook me when he said 2016
They didn't know about a lot of stuff
Maybe that was when she began her career away from the Tuttle band.
How could anyone find a reason to thumbs down this video? Of all things.
Yeah, I wonder if they were looking for a raps songs and just ended up here? Or, they are just jealous because they do not

There only one worde to say Awesome
Wow!!!
Love the way she keeps her picking hand off the top of her guitar. Yeah, She tore up St Anne's all good and proper like. Bryan did alright too.
PressedEarth her strumming hand is off the guitar. Picking, her wrist is down.
Wow! Great stuff!
Beginner my foot, she's a professional and good at it!
He didn't say that.
... since 8 years old !!

A little panning on this mics would've done this wonders. Kinda hard to tell the guitars appart.
Great video nonetheless
Not really you can see who is playing what, and there guitars have different tone.
@@mbsnyderc you shouldn't have to be a musician to separate instruments on a good mix.
What could 14 people possibly not like about this?
mbsnyderc There are a lot of assholes in the world friend.
People that can't play, for sure.
I don't get how people are so concerned about that. I never look at it. I just decide if I like something or not.
Probably Billy Strings fans
@@bradh6185, I agree with you. It's a free country. People have different musical tastes. Live and let live, I say . . .
beautiful & talented I''m in love has anybody noticed the length of her fingers never seen any others like them
just noticed......built for guitar....👍
she is awesome
Great couple!
if this ain't proof that playing ability is passed on in genes... i don't know what is! fuckin legend
Do most people in d with capo on II? I always play it out of the regular d position, no capo
If your doing a lot of pull offs to open strings you use the capo to be in the right key
Molly is great, plus she is real easy to look at.
Seems like a very sweet gal. And she can play like a boss!!!
she has a unique picking style she keeps her fingers off the sound board that that I guess thats the reason?
my wrist hurts just looking at Molly
Awesome. Pleasing and highly danceable for cloggers.
Cool!
What model H&D is that?
How much of it is improvising?
Henning Andersen I'd say a lot. I heard an interview of Bryan and he said when he records a break for an album. If a producer asks him to play the break again he can't do it exactly the same because so much is improvised.
Bryan is improving a lot here. Molly not so much.
@@jysmtl Molly had the first break and by tradition that always sticks pretty close to the stock melody. Her second break was much more interesting.
Great Martin guitar
Nether one is playing a martin guitar.
Un duo du tonnerre ⚡😁👍
What a fucking jam!
she admires him quite a bit, and he supports her talent and achievements. ps he was kidding...
Mr. Sutton has shown respect for Molly and for her playing, but that "high hopes" comment is out of place here. Two great players!
Miss Tuttle is a great player and as cute-as-a-button too! ... Oh yeah you too Bryan ha!
If you’re in front of Bryan Sutton, listen to what he’s telling you. I think she does.
Is it really an interview - when the interviewer does most of the talking???
BEAUTIFUL. They are very good guitar players. 🕊🌻👍👍👍😍.Take care .😷😷
WOW..!!! GOOD CLEAN SOUNDING FLAT-TOP PICKIN,....WISH I COULD DO IT TOO,...!!
She took your standard and raised the bar…
