    Your videos are the best I have seen on here in any subject. I am 68 years old still doing my work. You have saved me time and aggravation with my 2018 Duramax. If we ever meet, dinner is on me. Thanks

    Can't believe you don't have more subscribers thanks for the great content you're helping keep my truck on the road and putting more food on the table. I ran into the same issues on my Duramax, just fixed my truck on the side of the road thanks to your videos, keep up the good work..

    I must have your trucks little sibling. A 2018 Duramax. I’ve had the identical issues. I watched your video on splicing the #4 injector wire and was very helpful. Saved me $950! 🤑. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I know it can’t be easy, but it’s much appreciated. I hope I can pay it forward. Maybe I’ll start making some construction videos 🤔.

      @@TylerPeterka-in8cq just get that stupid inner clip out and junk it, then put the clamp on without bolt, then position it so you can access the bolt easily, then run the bolt in. Hopefully it be easy for you as it was for me, worst part was coolant bath

      Thanks! I fought with it for about two hours and said screw it as having the injector flopping around while trying to hold the clamp together was not going very well. I'll try connecting the coolant hoses to see if that help stabilize it.

  • @colliganfrog
    @colliganfrog 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    What codes are you getting? I had P026D injector quantity too high. Replaced MAP sensor and added a spacer. CEL came back then replaced NOX. It’s been good for the last 3 months or so then CEL again about a week ago with code P249D Closed Loop reductant infection control at limit -flow too low. Everything I’ve read is pointing at the DEF injector as I had ADTC’s : P20EE NOx catalyst efficiency below threshold.

  • @chadkelley5523
    @chadkelley5523 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I enjoy watching your detailed videos. Have you encountered P026D? I've changed the Map sensor, put on a map sensor spacer, changed fuel filter, added injector cleaner and I'll clear the code just for it to come back a few hundred miles later... I've read that it could be NOX sensor, but your NOX change video had a different code for that.

    • @CFarmer
      @CFarmer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never encountered that code but I've been looking into it. Silly question but do you ever hear a Suction noise when you pull the fuel cap off? you may have seen it too but I'm reading there is a bullied on the vent tube stopping up on the fuel tank collapsing (first I've heard of it). One person said they heard the addiction then started getting the code and loosened fuel cap and code went away. 🤔 would be something inexpensive to try if you haven't already

    • @chadkelley5523
      @chadkelley5523 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CFarmer Thanks for the reply, but I've loosened the cap and it's only holding on by maybe a thread..... I've read forums and about replacing NOX, Map, dealership replacing fuel pumps, injectors, but I don't think anyone has really pin pointed the problem. Maybe the new map sensor could be bad, but I don't think so. Seems to be running fine and not burning more fuel so hard to tell. My blue driver reader says P026D "Fuel Injection Quantity higher than expected".

    • @CFarmer
      @CFarmer  ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't think so, but I'm not sure about that. I would think as long as it's flowing through it should be ok. Are there any new codes?

  • @BadPanda93
    @BadPanda93 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    First things first, I love your channel and it’s helped me with multiple issues with my Duramax. But recently I replaced both NOX sensors and had it reset at the dealer. After I got it back, it threw the P20EE code at me and that code only. Have you had this happen? Any advice? I’d hate to have to bring it to the dealer because they had it for a month in the past. The dealerships here in Nashville never help me much… Anyway, as of right now the truck runs perfectly fine, but I’m stumped as to why only that code popped up. From what I’ve seen it usually pops up with a bunch of other DTC’s.
    Any help would be appreciated!

      I bought my L5P with 18k on it. around 40k a EGT sensor went out but was covered under warranty. Absolutely no issues until 201k then I replaced #7 injector connector. then at 217k I replaced the DEF injector and then at 221k I changed the position 1 NOX sensor. that's all I have done to it and have 234k on it now. I am happy with mine. I have worked this truck steady for over 200k miles running all over the country. overall I am very happy with mine.

    The red tab you broke isn’t anything it has to have! It’s simply a saftey pin. The connector release button cant be pushed with out pulling the red tab out some. If it’s gone the plug will still lock and stay in place. Just won’t have a safety.

    • @CFarmer
      @CFarmer  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm learning as i go. The older it gets the easier those safety clips break
