I just completed this mod. I used a torx t27 for all of the bolts. The easy out provided didn't seem to penetrate very well. They should also have provided a straight hose fitting for running down to the frame atmosphere out.

Thank you for reaching out. I'm new to my L5P and learning all of Spelab's products. I can ask them on Instagram for you. If you would like to it is Spelabautoparts. The CCV kit is of good quality.
So far I’ve seen 1 6.7 powerstroke and 2 L5P SPELAB delete kit, all 3 went on flawlessly, the SPELAB 5 inch exhaust is so far the best fitting exhaust also, better fitment than some of the Canadian suppliers. Trust me after I seen the prices I too was suspicious but I figured all your really buying is some CNC metal plates. How bad could it be? They turned out to be perfectly fine
This is an absolute 100% knock off of the VSE kit that's made in the USA. They also have other products for Diesel trucks, my VSE kit has been on for 6 months now
200.00 cheaper than VSE! Until we can make parts closer to the Chinese stuff, people will buy them. Both are machined aluminum, they have same machines as us, same aluminum as us, why is VSE charging 200.00 more?? Plus, you can thank Clinton, for all of this! Look up NAFTA!
What? All this completely defeats the purpose of this kit. You just routed it back into the intake again. The whole point is to keep the oil vapor from entering the turbo. Should have been ran underneath the truck & capped off the intake horn. Ugh.
@VRGamingTherapy I don't think there was a cap for the horn. The kit is to replace the failure prone plastic one from GM, and that can only be purchased with the valve cover itself. I'll look more into it, though.
@josefalero1087 VSE just came out with a catch can that I want. The reason it is not a waste of money is it removes the weak point of the OEM one being plastic which will fail over time and it is only sold with the valve cover. That job in itself is way more labor intensive. That's from my research.

I have this kit, will this kit make any check engine lights or any problems happen if I do it? I’m not deleted yet
@JakerMB I am not deleted and this kit had not set any check engine lights in 5k miles.
@@timthetrailman4563 great, thanks
How did you get the back left bolt out? With the turbo in the way?
@jakebaskett6627 it was able to be reached with a left handed drill bit. The drill bit was longer and length than a regular drill bit.
Did that affect your factory warranty?
I'm not sure. No need to take it to the dealership yet.
I’d say leaving it on there would result in a visit to the dealership for an engine failure!!!!
@@michaelsites1498why would you think that?

Depends on the dealer any alternations will void your warranty

I see they have an L5P delete kit for 1300 dollars. Does it seem to be a good kit? Does it fully delete it like I would be wanting with a tune?

I'm wondering the same thing. I've seen delete kits for around 5K.

a mac 5 point torx works well as does a 7/32 mac short extractor
Thank you for that feedback. I am not sure if I own either of those but I never mind buying more tools.
Why didn't you run the hose out the back of the ccv block and down on the side of the enigne towards the ground
That could have been an option but the hose also plugs the intake hole where it recirculates it back into the intake.
spelab all chinese made parts? looks to be a copy of the VSE kit which is USA made?
They are a Chinese company. I have not heard of VSE. I will look them up.

Wow.. this Chinese knock off stuff is getting out of control. VSE was the original design of this product. I know because I bought mine from them.

Did you run the hose out and down toward the ground or reintroduce it to the intake?!?! Thanks in advance
I ran it back to the intake for now but will swap it over soon

Waste of money and time you still recirculating gases to the turbo . Just add a catch can to the factory filter
