As someone that was born in CA and has lived here (Northern CA Sierra Foothills) for 70 years I am glad you enjoyed your visit to our beautiful state. You do not hear much positive news about CA these days and we certainly have our share of problems but it is a wonderful place to live and we feel blessed to be here.

I was having NOX codes on my 2017 2500 6.6. GM have REPLACED that part number with 12676706 and when the last GM computer update FORCED the OLD part number to no longer work (thanks to the EPA and GM). I replaced 2 before I discovered the issue but with the correct part number it came right back up and ran. HOWEVER, they have also REPLACED the NOX1 part number too. That new part number (because it TOO will start throwing codes) is 12680215. Just wait if you haven't had the DEF tank issues, YET. BTW, the parts shops have not PULLED those outdated part numbers costing consumers tons of additional money for repairs that the computer will not permit.

One cold morning, it cranked our ton truck, a guy doing grading work for us cranked his John Deere 200 Trackhoe and then his dozer and it still wasn't dead.

Hey. Love your videos. I removed the pan and internal filter on my trans and 8.5 quarts came out. I put 7 quarts back in and drove it until hot and the fluid was barely on the stick. Kept driving it for about an hour and slowly refilling. Long story short I ended up putting 10 quarts in and it’s slightly below the hot level. I’ve read some places that when you change the internal filter it takes around 10 quarts. Am I trippin?

Hi Charles. I’ve been watching for a long time and I have my own LTZ L5P just like yours. I’m having a problem where I think a connector is going out (I’m getting a random misfire/thud at idle and when under load at around 1800rpm) but truck won’t throw a code and tell me where to look. Any ideas? It’s driving me nuts. I love the truck but hate when it stutters and I can’t fix it. I’m almost 99% sure it’s a connector/ stupid fix.

Most people would just flush the oil and then go trade it in. Not saying it’s right just that is what most people would do.
