Charles, thank you for sharing this! I'm in limp mode, in Meridian Mississippi (about 600 miles from home) due to my #7 injector. No one can get me in foe a week and I have to get my load delivered to Louisiana by tomorrow. You are a lifesaver!! Now, I just need to find an injector near me! Again, you are very appreciated by many viewers, especially me. Thank you!

Dang, i wish i was closer. I would definitely change the connector then start the engine and see if that fixes it before replacing the injector. I jumped to the injector then had to take it back apart and change the connector for the second time then it was good. Good luck sir and if i can be any help my email is cfarmeronyt@gmail.com

Hey Charles. You get a standing ovation for changing an injector in a parking lot with just basic hand tools. GM/Duramax gets a tip of my hat as well for making it fairly accessible and straightforward. Oh, and if that injector was still good at almost 400k miles that's also a testament as to the (overall) reliability of the Duramax platform. This video will surely be helpful to someone looking to swap out an injector. Thanks for taking the time to document this job.

Hi Charles. I’ve been watching for a long time and I have my own LTZ L5P just like yours. I’m having a problem where I think a connector is going out (I’m getting a random misfire/thud at idle and when under load at around 1800rpm) but truck won’t throw a code and tell me where to look. Any ideas? It’s driving me nuts. I love the truck but hate when it stutters and I can’t fix it. I’m almost 99% sure it’s a connector/ stupid fix.

Good afternoon. I have a issue that is not making sense. About a 100 miles from home #5 injector plug went out I got home ordered the part and replaced #5 injector plug. Now I have no throttle at all? Before I replaced it, I was able to drive up to 50 mph.

I bought a 17 with 75k and all injectors was just replaced. I’m at 110k and truck threw a p026d code suggesting there’s a fuel injection imbalance. Dealership says all injectors need replacing. Smh…
I cleaned the air press/temp sensor and code went out for now…only been 2 days …and I added some fuel treatment.

Wish i could be more help but i am glad the code went away and I didn't have to figure it out

There are things out will do on my truck (like reductant heater test) that it will not do on others (2022 gmc) not sure if I'm not going into it right or if the truck has that feature locked out. For the most part it's done everything I've wanted it to do for my truck but i have not went extensively into it. I've met up with a few people that wanted to try out on their truck and see if it was right for them. I wouldn't mind that at all if we were close. I'm around the Florence Alabama area
