    I’m glad I found your video before upgrading my ssd. Some videos they didn’t even mentioned about the ribbon in the front. Keep up the good work!
    One question, I’m having a hard time putting the top cover back. I did exactly what you did and the left side is not going all the way in. I’m sure all holes are aligned otherwise screws will not go all in. Thanks!

    Great to ear you guys tested several SSD's , i have a question have you tried nvme ssd's and normal sata ones? because that would be a great coparison to know if there is any performance gains from a pci-e nvme ssd

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      don't put any nvme it will not get any faster, because the connector on the motherboard is sata and the max speed on sata is limited and if you adapt a nvme it will just read as sata max speed, therefore just go with any ssd sata. thank you for the support to the channel by a sub :)

    • @JohnDavidSullivan
      @JohnDavidSullivan 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think PCIe NVME's will work anyway and SSD NVME's are not worth the hassle. With buying a caddy it works out the same price anyway.

    I was under the impression you HAD to partition/format the new external drive with some fancy scripts before installing it or the Xbox would not recognize it and allow an offline system update. Is it really as easy as just taking a new hard drive out of the box and sticking it in the Xbox, then using a USB drive to perform the update. It recognizes it?!

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you could try cloning programs to clone the HDD to SSD like Macrium Reflect,
      the cloning sometime works and sometimes it can give error depending the hdd models or ssd models. we have tried and it does work but not always.

    First things first, thanks for the video, actually I used it 3 times to put a ssd on my xbox one x. But, well, I'm using a kingston a400 960Gb, after using OSU1, it shows a free space of only 364 GB. Took it to the pc (disasembling again) and saw a unalocated volume of 465 GB (half the unity). Tried all the process again with the same results. Any Ideas of how to fix it and use full space. thanks in advance.

      @uFixTek  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P
      regarding your question: it should took over the entire space, but if this happens you need to use dis-partition program on pc and extend the partition to the main 364GB, use this: www.partitionwizard.com/
      download full version if you know what i mean :P
      make sure you extend the virgin partition to the main partition.
