    Great review Adam... Thank you for doing this... didn't even feel like 29:48 minutes. I got my 17.5 Standard GS last August and still learning about the riding modes...

    Greta review. You can actually change the ride modes while moving at speed by pulling the clutch lever without damaging your engine.

      I put on radiator guards and a V Stream taller wind screen.

    • @AdamChandler86

      Those two items are definitely on my list! The windscreen is simply not tall enough.

    • @navinbabji
      @navinbabji 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Adam Chandler don't gloat that you are too tall for the windscreen, be sensitive towards us 5 feet 8 inch guys also...who can hardly flatfoot the bike, but still dream about riding the 1200 GSA...and also in other videos you say that "..the bike feels so tiny under me.." how tall are you...😝😝😝

    Hi Adam, after watching your nice review, I am wondering if this 2017 was the .5 version. I am in a dilemma at the moment, as I have three options: Purchase a 2017 with cases and Nav. VI (less expensive option), spend $1500 and get a 2018 with TFT but no cases or GPS. Any suggestions? I am sure the TFT screens are nice, but not sure if it is worth it to me.

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TFT may do better in resale value but it's still quite buggy. Standard Dash + NAV is still a better combo.

    • @JoseLuis-nj3jw
      @JoseLuis-nj3jw 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, Adam! Since you have had both bikes, is there a noticeable riding difference on transmission or on anything else that would make you lean more towards the ‘18? I am about to pull the trigger, and while I am tempted to go after the ‘18 the ‘17 seems to be the more “mature” choice. Thanks for your valuable expertise.

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Other than TFT and the Auto ESA, the 2018 is identical to the 2017. I actually kind of miss the control over ESA as opposed to auto leveling.

    Just one question. What do you do that you could buy this motorcycle, coz I know its out of the budget for me for the next 10 years. This my dream bike and would love to have it in my garage. I just hope to have this as soon as possible.

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a really good question but not really easy to answer on an individual basis. I just work very hard, had a few good ideas, met the right people and can afford to have nicer things now. These bikes are absolutely worth their cost but keep in mind, higher MSRP items have a higher upkeep cost. Maintaining a Triumph or Yamaha will be cheaper as well as lower cost parts. So if you save enough money to buy one of these, the total cost of ownership will be higher.

      I think 4 hour work week is a nice inspiration for me. Automate as much as you can so you can work more than one job while still having nights and weekends to study, ready and expand. When you're 30, you'll be able to take weekends off and ride instead of working. Try to put some incomes on auto-pilot (passive income) that you just make money without any interference. TH-cam makes me enough money to pay the payment on this bike every month. That's one example of a nice second income.
