      thats high on the priority list, if someone can supply me with the car to do, ill give it a crack, but no guarantees that the car will go back together the way it came

    Love you channel. It has god potential.. But nyes, maybe a bit more detail, like where to run the wiring in the Ranger.

      thanks for the input, the reason why i didnt go into specifics is because this video is a generic video on how to install extra horns and its not specific to the ranger. On both sides of the firewall on the ranger there is large rubber grommets that you can feed cable through, in this particular case i ran the cable behind the reservoir bottle, through the grommet and it comes out just above the accelerator pedal. I hope this helps

    Where /how did you put your fuse? My horn switch is dead and I don't want to take off my steering wheel to replace it so I'm going to try this method thanks!

      Hey mate! 👍 I placed the fuse inline with the power wire going to the relay. You can tuck it near the battery or wherever it’s easy to access - just make sure it’s secure and won’t rub against anything.
      Sounds like a good plan with your horn switch issue! This method should save you from having to mess with the steering wheel. Let me know how it goes, and feel free to ask if you need more tips. Cheers for watching!

    I appreciate the video, general in nature. But I do need more specifics. You mention a relay. I have extra relays. How would that work? BTW, my main horn isn't working right now, so I am looking to set it up with a separate switch.
    And the fuse - how did you incorporate a (standard vehicle - or an inline/tube) fuse into the circuit? [Am guessing somewhere before the horn's positive terminals]

    • @TheInsightDistrict
      @TheInsightDistrict  ปีที่แล้ว

      maybe find out why your main horn isnt working first in case its the switch in your steering wheel or something else

    i got the same horns, how did you onow the difference between pos n neg? they dont have it marked as most things do

    • @TheInsightDistrict
      @TheInsightDistrict  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      just put some temp wires on them, touch them directly on the battery terminals and see if they work , that will give you an idea of which way they go

    Suzuki Samurai's, even stock horns benefit from a simple $5.00 automotive relay makes all the difference

    Great video, but your intro music is about 5x the volume of your voice, and nearly blew my eardrums out after I turned up my volume to hear you.

    Why is there two wires coming off the switch?

    • @tanndem3826
      @tanndem3826 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      One wire runs from the battery to the switch, the other runs from the switch to the horns. Basically it’s one long wire from the battery to the horns with a switch in the middle to decide when the horn receives power

    Why not just use the power from the original horn ?

    • @TheInsightDistrict
      @TheInsightDistrict  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      because if the after market horns have a fault or draw too much power, it can blow the fuse for the stock horns and then neither of them will work
