Would've been cool if Palpatine had the Republic maintain a stockpile of slugthrowers and then equipped the clones in the raid with them as they would've been pretty effective against lightsabers
That would have made a lot of sense, but Palpatine doesn't like to leave tracks that can connect him to his byzantine levels of intrigue and conspiracy. I think Palpatine probably realized that Clone Troopers who had served in the Clone Wars might be witnesses to before and after, and might start to be interviewed by people trying to connect the dots. The Clones were elite warriors that were value-able, but Palpatine also wanted them dead or out of the way to tie up loose ends. The only difference between Legends and Canon is that in Legends the Empire slowly weaned itself off of total clone dependency between the trilogies, so that by the time of A New Hope, most Clone Troopers were in Vader's Fist, while in Canon after order 66 the newly christined Empire immediately cut off clone trooper production after "one more batch" and started recruiting humans to replace the clones. So Palpatine probably wanted people to forget about how slug throwers could've made killing Jedi easier...cuz if it makes killing Jedi easier, it could also mean making killing Sith or Inquisitors easier.....

It would be cool if some of these CATs showed up in games like Fallen Order. It would bridge some continuity. Even if they just showed up in the main character's flash back to when he was a kid surviving Order 66, that would be cool. I understand by the events of Fallen Order, most of the clones would have either died or been phased out due to old age and the Empire trying to wean itself off of clones, being replaced by Purge Troopers. Still, it would have been nice to see some in the flash back, perhaps fighting a few, and maybe a sub boss or mini boss would have been an old Veteran of the Order 66 CATs leading the Purge Troopers and helping the Inquisitors. There's a lot of stuff from Star Wars content that may not be the best but can be salvaged and grafted on to something better, creating a tide that raises all ships. The Episode 3 game from EA didn't get the highest reviews, but some of those ideas are cool, and could be translated over to something else. If nothing else, all the interesting variants from Ep 3 game by EA would make good classes in the next Star Wars Battle Front, as well as enemy types in another game like Fallen Order or another shooter like Republic Commando or Jedi Outcast/Dark Forces (a sequel or spiritual successor, I mean). Yeah, I think it would be neat for the trooper and droid types we saw in EA's Ep 3 and The Force Unleashed to be used as classes in another Battlefront or allies/enemies in a game like Fallen Order and Republic Commando (or rather their successors). So that we don't get bogged down by too many enemy types, some of these could be upgrades to classes. For instance, some of these Clone Assassin Troopers carried Sniper rifles and back up Pistols, correct? Well, this could be an upgrade for the class in a game like Battlefront. This would be neat as a level up mechanic in the game, where you could level up your faction by being able to train upgraded/advanced versions of your original classes. The Assassin trooper would be one spec tree, at least, of the clone sniper trooper.

I remember on the first time I ever saw these guys it was in the Star wars revenge of the set video game my cousin had he lent it to me and when I did the return to the Jedi Temple where Obi-Wan Kenobi and the secret bonus level for Yoda I had to face off at these guys in the final level it was very intense they were difficult but yeah I won.
One of my favorite clone trooper there have a realy cool design, i remenber when i was playing episode 3 game i fail like 2-3 time before kill them is sad then not cannon anymore.
i made my own verison of clones who were part of the assiassin trropers but they have black shock trooper armour most with barc and arf helments . there main weapoins is the E-11 blastor prototype and official type , lightsader like blades that are gray , vidruim blades, DC blastors

That’s what I would do, if I had to make soldiers that were meant to kill Jedi, I would equip them with slugthrowers.
