CLONE SHADOW TROOPERS - The Republic's Most ADVANCED Clone Troopers

- Clone Shadow Troopers were an elite group of Clone Troopers who were recruited to act as a covert and secretive replacement for the rapidly dropping number of ARC Troopers left in the Republic. These Clones were primarily assigned to partake in undercover missions that regular ARC Troopers were unable to do, including bounty hunting for the Republic. So who were the Clone Shadow Troopers and why did they make a covert appearance on Utapau during Revenge of the Sith.

During the Clone Wars, the director of the Republic spying and intelligence bureau, Armand Isard, created a brand new division of Clones, specifically designed to serve as a covert, undercover spying unit. The division was created to combat the rapidly falling numbers of ARC Troopers left within the Grand Army of the Republic, and fill in the massive gaps left every time an ARC Trooper died. Despite this being the original purpose for the Clone Shadow Troopers, the Republic quickly realized that the Clones Selected for this unit were extremely gifted and were able to perform a whole lot more duties than what the Standard ARC Troopers were capable of. These Shadow Troopers could also act in a far more Covert Way than Clone Commandos, making them the highest ranking public division in the Grand Army of the Republic special forces.

There are so many clone trooper variants at this point I wouldn't be surprised if there was a clone unit of clones who are designed to look like other clones so they can pretend to be other clones whilst the other clones are doing clone things, because DECEPTION and all that.

I really wish that they could make a clone wars games where we can start out as a Recruit and be able to rank up to captain or even special forces. Even where we can customize our armor based on what class , rank, and unit that we belong to. And even fight on every war that had clones in it.
That would be really neat to see. Almost like an rpg but during the clone wars with a ton of different battlefronts to take place in.

I wish we had seen more of the elite clone troopers in the show. We got to see a lot of some Arcs but like 5 seconds of Commandos. Great video. Keep up the great work

@Saima Riaz Shadow Troopers may have the better armor but still they weren't as much genetically boosted up as the Nulls. They have an eidetic memory, completly independent thought and the strongest body out of all the other clones. And they were adobted and trained by Kal Skirata and had a special bond to him. And the shadow troopers weren't even trained by mandalorians.
Shadow Troopers may be the best Black Ops operators but Null Arcs have the best allrounder skills and thus can adabt to more situations
@Saima Riaz hate to break it to you man, both null arc and alpha arc were 10x better than shadow. Genetic enhancements, trained by some of the best in the galaxy. Trained to be good at essentially next to everything. They had located grievous months in advance to the battle of utapau. The nulls alone were considered one man armies, and thats just six clones. No amount of technology and shoddy training can substitute genuine skill and combat prowess.

I remember when I was a kid my mom paid pretty big money for these in the 6in figures series. I still have them, probably one of my favorite clone armors.

Shadow Troopers are the Best! I love how they were able to change their appearance, although that kinda leaves a bit of a plot hole in the Star Wars story, because I remember in an episode of clone wars where Obi-wan discized himself as a bounty hunter, but In Order to do so, he had to swallow a tiny spider like droid. In my opinion, it would’ve been better for the republic to just give him that shape shifting technology that the shadow troopers had. 🤔
Maybe it was secrecy? I dunno.

Or it could be the hologram device Cad bane and the other bounty hunters used to disguise themselves to attempt an assault on Palpatine
Republic Commandos have the best armor because of the energy shields, baccta system and vision settings. Then shadow troopers because of their jamming systems and disguise plates not to mention the plate act like extra armor. The arc troopers good armor buts it's just slightly better phase 2 armor.
Commando's also had vibro blades mounted on their knuckle plates. (Even more awesome)

I ALWAYS figured that Clone Commandos and ARC troopers were the pinnacle of combat and tactically efficient clone troopers and their skill in the art of war and other conbative tactics were unmatched! I've known about the shadow trooper spec ops division for some time but never thought they even came close to comparing to the skill of the previously stated special operations units, LET ALONE being superior troopers?

Loved the video StarForceOne! First time I've ever watched your videos and just as fortunate as I just watched an old video of Geetsly's where he talked about Shadowhand Command.
Imagine a game where you can be clone troopers doing different missions. Like one mission you're a pilot, another you're part of the bomb squad. Imagine playing a level where your a shadow trooper gaining information on a separatist commander. You gather the information and get ready to ambush him. You get renienforments. Get your sniper rifle out on a high vantage point. take the shot when something goes wrong and you have to rush in to make sure they don't get away. Camera switches over and you start playing as clone assassins who are rushing to take out the enemy commander before he gets away
