The time he gave the opposition the ball to score a free goal! This was after he felt his team was awarded an unfair goal. That showed the man’s heart and purity.

This is so surreal. And I'm not even a Leeds Fan. Bielsa is an enigma, who found a brief sense of familiarity with the modern football through the least modern English Club.

Bielsa, instinctlively, knew why and how the game,at any level, should be played i.e. for free expression, because of that he was probably the last football purist in the modern, professional game, this is why without him we have lost something magical, even indefinable, the "soul" if you like, from our club, that's what the fans connected with on a subconcious level, because in the premier league ultimately the generation of money and merchandising is becoming more important than the football, these are global brands and we are becoming just another one.Bielsa is a great, great man,he taught me that it isn't about winning or losing it is about how you win and lose.

I’m a West Ham and huge Bielsa fan. Apparently he was interviewed for managing us but our Chairman, who is such a control freak, went for the safe option in David Moyes. I know Moyes has done well but I would’ve loved Bielsa at West Ham. I love how you play and it’s so much like what most Hammers fans want to see. The fire and passion of your club reminds me so much of us back at Upton Park. Good luck with the future and hope you stay up!

I think the Leeds board underestimate Bielsa’s “third party/neutral” influence.
Quite simply; Marcelo made Leeds relevant again in the English game.
Without investment or another enigma, they will quickly slip back down the ranks.

Bielsa is unique as are we but in Farke we have a winner and a very credible coach and with some quality new additions...we live in hope but Marcelo will live with us forever ALAW, MOT.

Leeds is one of the clubs I support after my #1 team Chelsea. With that said, their fans are similar IMO to Newcastle & even say Sunderland fans. It’s an extremely ferocious loyal fanbase who look to the club for their entire happiness.

But you haven't addressed the central issues ie why the falling away since last season, why the lack of any basic attacking or defensive tactics ,why the inexplicable inability of international players to score goals ,why the manic training regime which I think caused the injury count, why he was left to manage alone without any support, a man in late middle age who felt it necessary to live like a recluse presumably without creature comforts, and was wedded to a computer from which he seemingly derived inspiration and the means to offset opponents.i think this impressive moral man was suffering an incipient nervous breakdown and should have been affectionately persuaded to leave on health grounds well before christmas.then we would have had a chance of surviving .
Now it is a desperately close call.
