That green section has needed some work for years now, with all the roots and flat hairpin turns it had. I rode this the other day and they did a great job, not only for adaptive riders, but for kids just starting out like you showed. You can tell their confidence is raised when they can just hit the flow without worry.
@robonbikes absolutely! I have the Shotgun one and it works great. My boys still on a single speed till next year, but I can see using up in Cuyuna and other places over the years. Spendy but super easy to use.
Awesome video Rob!! I love how detailed you are about the trail. The little shredders are Awesome! I have been on this trail once, but that was a few years ago. I need to go back there. Great job Pathfinder Trail Building.
Great overview of trails that will be enjoyed by a very wide range of riders. Somehow have never ridden at Elm but it looks like a great addition, Pathfinder seems to be building all sorts of fun trails in MN. It would be very nice if getting hurt wasn’t a thing…
🤣 I loved when he said that, so true…you would know man! Also, brakes are helpful when biking…. Yeah I feel like I could just follow around Pathfinder and highlight all the improvements and new trails they are making around the cities. They knocked it out of the park this year!
Thank you for this video! I have a friend I'm trying to get into mountain biking, but he's risk averse. Do you have any other suggestions for MTB trail systems that comprise mostly green and/or easier trails?
Not sure where you’re located, but any green rated trail in or around the metro area will make for a milder trail. Really, most blue trails in the area won’t include any difficult features that are mandatory (I’d say all will have an optional ride around). I recently rode the Sagamore Unit up in Cuyuna (near Crosby, MN), and there are some very fun green trails that are completely risk free. I’ve heard Lake Rebecca near Rockford, MN, has some mild trails as well.
Kid approved! Nailed It! Thanks Rob!
Rob, may I share your EC video on the Elm Creek FB page? Credit will be noted.
@north2mn yeah absolutely, appreciate it and thanks for reaching out to me!
Yo! Thanks for highlighting this buddy, super well done! Loved seeing the little shredders too! That’s what it’s all about! 🤙🏻
Awesome job Matt and your crew for building this!
Thanks right back at ya! Love all the improvements going on in the area, this has been a fabulous year for the metro mountain biking community!
@@robonbikes yeah I’m stoked on how much we’ve been able to build in the metro this year!

Yeah absolutely on seeing their confidence raised, fun to see! It’s great when there is a trail they love and I live equally. This one hits the spot.
Was here with my 6yr old last week. It was awesome! Id bungie him up and ride it back!! We had a ton of fun. Very well done by pathfinder!
Bungie! That is an awesome idea, I could definitely get more laps out of my youngest if I did that! 🤘

I love it, getting them youngsters out is huge, great job making it happen!
This was great! Loved the input from your special guests!
Thanks! They have invaluable input!

Hey thanks, I really appreciate that! Yeah this was a big upgrade, it truly feels like a brand new trail.
@@robonbikes You're welcome Rob! That's good and glad it feels like a different trail.
Well done Rob! I’ll have to add this to my Elm Creek loop, and since it’s Pathfinder built you know it’s gonna ride well!
Thanks man! I always warm up on this section.
Great video man! Nice meeting and Charing with you at Willow River today Rob!
Nice meeting you as well, thanks for watching!!
I helped build that trail and ride it regularly. Good to see it is being recognized!
Nice! Great work on it, it’s a lot of fun!
I've been riding this little loop a lot with my son since they redid it. Good stuff!
Me too, my kids love it!

You must live in the area?
Sure do!
