I've been playing Alpha myself, and god can I say that the tree brush, the general pathing system, and being able to pull pieces off the grid and adjust them manually is AMAZING! I really can't wait to see the rest of the tools for the game. Oh and also screenshot mode. I REALLY like screenshot mode. I've already filled up a folder.
The Prehistoric kingdom in it's alpha stage is something jwe isn't even after two and a half years of development.

I think JWE was intended to be a less creative game anyways- and it somewhat makes sense given it was made around the ideas of Jurrasic world. This game is amazing though!
The reason Prehistoric Kingdom is better: NO HITBOXES
I like that JWE is designed simpler and not as exhausting as PK. Yet some stuff can be hopefully copied like more plants, rocks and overall decoration. As JWE2 will be published on consoles too, they have more limitations than a PC only version
@@Der_Bierbaron your probably right - although the graphics wouldn't be restricted because the new consoles are so powerful, there are limited buttons on a controller!

When I saw the rescaling I freaked out and got so excited, I’m still in shock.
the pasting of trees is so helpful look how much you have build in short of time. this is so beautiful. and the the water placement look so easy witch is way better than planet zoo
Wow, it's amazing what's possible just with the alpha... This is such a gorgeous habitat! I'm really looking forward to all of the beautiful and insane builds you'll make with these tools!
Thank you for showing us so much of the game already. I love this game already. The pathmaking, the resizing and of course the plant brush!.. it's soooo cool this is all finally well done in a game like this. I hope they will make the performance better so we don't have to buy monster computers to be able to play this normally. Really excited for the beta though!
Gosh I hope planet zoo gets a rework with these new controls!!!! It would be a thousand times easier.
the creativity Point of this game is Insane in PZ I get very fast Tired because there are so much Stones and its always one stone^^ Stretcheng options in Pk is makes many things so much easier
Holy moly... im sure i will buy this game in some time but i was sure, i dont want to play the alpha because well im afraid of my computer not handling it :) so i was totally hyped RUDI WILL PLAY this and this first video was absolutly stunning :) Great jobs and looking forward for some other great prehistoric stuff :)
No worry its cool, but its not worth 80 Dollar.
30 later in EA for sure, but im sure too you have other great games to play up to the release from PK.
And to think this is only alpha. Looking forward to all your PK content!

Hatte schon auf Reddit geschrieben; ich hoffe wirklich, das Frontier ein paar Sachen kopiert. Die Building mechanic ist super. Ich glaube zwar, dass die Performance sehr darunter leiden wird, aber das „erweitern“ der Bausteine usw ist der nächste Schritt für Simulationsspiele. Zudem hoffe ich, dass wir bei Planet Zoo endlich das Glas bei den Terrarien deaktivieren können, das würde so viel Kreativität fördern
As a huge fan of zoo games, this one makes me both excited and sad. While Planet Zoo is a tremendous improvement over Zoo Tycoon 2, it still lacks a lot of options that I see in this alpha (rescaling, lifting terrain and taking the plants with it, the path system, people being able to walk on scenery items, more common fan palms etc.). While this promises a lot for future zoo games, it also makes me scared that the lifetime of Planet Zoo won't be too long. I don't expect Frontier to implement those systems, which means that we as zoo builders have to wait for a new game to be released. At the same time I'm afraid many people will leave that game because there are better systems in PK and perhaps other games too.
I probably won't buy PK since I'm more interested in modern animals, but I really hope we'll once be able to have these systems in a zoo game (either PZ or another one) because the opportunities are so much better than what we have now.
Even in Alpha, the graphics look amazing. I’ve just downloaded the game, so haven’t really got used to the controls yet, although they are very similar to PZ. Also for some reason my rotate function wasn’t working properly.

I love this game. Building tools look so much like Frontier's games. As soon as you posted videos of this game, it's no longer purchasable :( Hopefully they'll open up the Beta maybe in Q2. The guests look cute but are not as complex as the Planet games which makes it easier on the CPU/GPU. It looks more easier to play than Planet Zoo (where the guests require like 100 drinks per habitat visited). Buildings look better than the Planet series.
I have been playing this, and even in its current state the Alpha is better than some full games of this type. As far as terrain manipulation and building. My favorite thing to do is resize objects. Makes building structures and caves that much easier.

I am so happy there is a plant brush tool. To me it is a huge drawback to the planet games.
And I hope there will be more of a management aspect as well.
Scenery brush tool is great but as much of a necessity for planet zoo as the scaling & pathfinder except for scenery amateurs for who the brush will be a god send

it looks like it works, since guest can walk everything. And in the alpha theres no attacks or so - so yes!
Do you know if we can still get access to beta and if not, then early access? Keep up the good work, thus game looks sick
Pre-orders for all stages were closed before alpha release. But Early Access will be available for around 30 USD on Steam sometime later this year.

I asked you if you noticed that the "Feature " or bug would be patched in the Released Version where visits can use glass and other roofs as walkway at the moment. Ive Cryed if i read that.
