There were lots of positives to take from a development perspective but man, we deserved the three points.

But thats the problem isn't it? defense is stable now but attacking is still a problem and it starts at the midfield. The amount of mistakes Bruno makes is high but I've seen it before at Ajax with Ziyech who lost also alot the ball but the difference is at Ajax Ziyech was the creative guy but in United there is also Eriksen who can easily play at 10.
Ten Hag Barely takes out Bruno but he has to do it more this year if we want to get in the top 4. If bruno has his day he is worldclass but if he doesn't then Eriksen or Mount should have the chance on 10.
But considering the first half there is alot improvement in the team and if they play more together they will be better.

Right? We've clearly kept the form we had in the last few games, we were just unlucky. Defense was quite solid, Maz and De Ligt have been impressive so far. Great double save from Onana. Unfortunate that Garn and De Ligt weren't able to find the net with their chances.

Ten Hag must be more ruthless with his substitutions. Should’ve changed Bruno and played Zirkzee at 10 and Hojlund up front. Bruno was absolutely terrible today. Overall progress is clear.

Fernandes has been very bad this start of the season. He'll become a problem for other players like Eriksen and Mount cuz Ten Hag favoritizes Fernandes. But Eriksen and Mount are much better players, this season at least. Eriksen were very good since he came. Very glad he is at United.
He needs to try that Zirkzee - Hojlund partnership. I feel like it would be perfect.

He just plays on instincts and doesn't think much. Same with rashford. We can't have a cohesive midfield with a midfielder that's that chaotic. And it's been happening for a long time not just this season but some people still believe he's a fantastic player. People gave the excuse of him not having the right support. We had ball playing midfielders today and he looked the worst of all of them.
Same old tired Bruno hating drum being beaten though isn't it. The very fact that he's not allowed a bad performance tells you all you need to know. The guy carries the team and creates all the chances for our poo-for-brains strikers but nah, few bad passes and an off day and the guy's a fraud. Sure he plays on instinct like you say in your other comment. Great, his instincts are fantastic. You can absolutely accomodate that sort of player and still succeed in modern football, we don't all need to be boring Pep/Arteta replicate teams with functional android midfielders. Even Pep realised that himself by getting Grealish, Haaland, Doku etc. Sometimes games are won in moments. The structure needs to be right, but if you have a player who can provide those moments out of nothing, you always have a chance. Next week he'll create 10 chances again and Zirkzee/Rashford/Hojlund will spoon them all and Bruno will get the blame again because he misplaced a couple of passes.

It's like he's in competition with himself to see how many times he can give the ball away. Whether it's a clumsy touch, unaware of what's around him, decision making, weight of pass. Then when one of those passes actually hits the target people will be saying "stop the agenda! See Bruno is class 😍. Look at the stats, he creates more chances than anyone in the team. He's so important, we create nothing without him". Well if he stopped losing the ball every time it came near him maybe someone else could have a chance of doing something.

I've been saying it for years, Bruno has always been that player,lost possession 50 times but may have 1-2 world class pass,but time has changed,we are a possession team now and Bruno stats has gotten worse.

It didn't work out. And Rashford was to bring some penetration force instead of Amad's technicality, which didn't pan out, but it was needed at the moment. Bruno was very sloppy today.

I’ll always still think Garnacho is best as an impact sub in the Premier League, it has been shown time and time again
And then if we are winning in/by 75th minute by 2 goals or more

1. Bruno can be very wasteful. Too many wasteful passes
2. Kobbie seems not up to be par for some reason
3. Mazraoui is class!!
4. Erikson is that creative, technical player we need in the middle of the park.
5. I think Ugarte should have started. Would have helped in the midfield balance and composition.

The only United channel I watch. All the others are just putting on a front for the camera for views. It was disappointing to draw, of course, but the performance was really good, apart from the goal. Ten Hag got the tactics right today. Credit where it's due but these performances need to be consistent.

Yes, it's a huge improvement from what it was last season. The first half chances were where we could have capitalized will hunted us but the way the team played shows the changes made from last year. Newcomers are still adjusting and I bet as the season progresses and they gel we can see that change a lot more. To bad for those could have goals we missed today.

When Eriksen went off, we lost the connection between defense and attackers. Ugarte is a defensive midfield. Mazraoui playing his fluffy stuff like back in Ajax like he been there for years. Lovely. Eventually, both the keepers were the main factors. But who needs to sub for Eriksen to keep the passes going next time? Maybe Bruno needs to back up a bit.
Zirkzee and Maz make such a positive impact. Should have at least had 2-3 goals man !
That game was spot on except we didn't score. There's more positives than negatives but still so frustrating.

Bruno should practice those passes in the training ground, not during the match, I swear my blood starts boiling when he tries that trivela and gives possession to the opposition !! He shows his flair which he doesn't have.

We have to talk about Bruno. For the past few years he's been a whole shadow to his former self back when he used to carry the team all by himself with crazy stats. Even when he was often frustrating to watch he still outweighed it with his big g/a contributions. Now he doesn't even have that and his decision making is so rash and wild. Everytime he touches the ball a big chance gets wasted. We're gonna have to start talking about replacing him in 1 or 2 years time
The other positive you didn't mention was EtH rotation of the squad, props on him for doing that seems he now trusts his squad other than trusting only his first 11

Was really pleased with the backlit bar Bruno, and overall ETH’s structural and tactical performance was borderline perfect here. But as always his decision making is so questionable. Bringing off Zirkzee, Amad, and Eriksen is so bizarre to me.

Zirkzee and rashford subs changed the game. We had very less control after that. But that first half was the best this team has played in a long while. Going forward i would love to see zirkzee behind striker with Bruno and Ugarte playing deeper in the middle.
This is one of those games where you realize how young the front-line is. Hopefully, they become more clinical as they age. With that being said, as a fan, you can't be disappointed with this game, aside from the scoring. They played terrific for the most part.

Eriksen has played very well in those games and I think he's a player to start with. He's done much better than Fernandes. 👊🏻
Eriksen is just showing Erik ten Hag and the management exactly what kind of player United are missing. A player who will helps us control the game, he was an orchestrator in that middle of the pitch. I know defensively he doesn't offer much but man, he is just class. Next summer United should look for someone with the same profile but better at defending. As for Bruno, I don't think you have to tell Bruno that he played badly. He knows he played badly, the frustration in his face was very telling. Just like Rashford, he is gonna pickup and he'll be running riot again.
Criminal substitutions ! The moment he took Eriksen and Zirkzee Glasner made subs and got back in low block because we didn't had a good passer of the ball and we didn't had Zirkzee who could control the ball in dangerous zones near there box

People talking about Ten Hag's favouritism in regards to Bruno not being subbed, clearly have no idea how squad dynamics and the media works. Bruno is the captain. You pull off your captain early, and you then have to absolutely win the game. You'll get hammered by the media, hammered by the fanbase, a pissed off captain, and any players who his friends equally pissed off. We saw it at Brighton, when he did pull Bruno off, we lost, and then all the reports after were about Bruno.
It's not favouritism, it's squad dynamics. Bruno was trash today, but if he'd been taken off and we'd then conceded, Ten Hag would have been slaughtered. You can bring him off, but you 100% have to win after that or it's just not worth the controversy.
I blame Bruno man. He's the one who had the easiest chance to score and he misses it 😭. Garnacho did everything he could to score but luck didn't help, amad and zirkzee were just above average. We don't see Eriksen misplacing a simple pass like Bruno.

The last 20-30 mins United lost it's shape. Garnacho played out of position, nobody was pulling strings like Erikssen did.

So much to build on first half very unlucky .2nd half shouldn't have taken Zhirkzee off, the link up was starting to click upfront. We were going to create nothing aside from providing nothing for a Hojlund lacking match fitness.
Happy with the United game. A game we would have lost last season. Keep bettering last seasons results and we finish top 4.
We had everything apart from the fishing and Henderson was MOTM.
If that’s how the season goes, with their keeper being MOTM, I’ll be happy

If United had scored in the first half I feel it would have been a comfortable 3-0 score line. Fantastic all over the pitch. Henderson was definitely man of the Match
I will not going in on the manager at all, players need to finish off these chances. That’s the best away performance I’ve seen from a united team since the Fergie Era. We played most of the game in their half and I’m sure people’s eyebrows were raise when they saw Eriksen, Mainoo and Bruno in midfield. Finally we are becoming at team that can dominate in possession and has the tenacity to win duals/possession high up the pitch. Also we finally have a defensive unit that doesn’t fold, the base of any great team is there and we still have Yoro, Shaw and Malacia to return!
I think the game changed when Amad and Eriksen came off. I would have preferred to see Garna and Mainoo off. Lots of positives though.
Bruno needs competition! Nobody should start for sure if they aren't performing well. Still at least a progression in the perform, despite the result.
I think his competition should be Eriksen but the problem is eriksen doesn’t have that intensity to his game so maybe the closest candidate for number 10 is Mount

I was purposely checking the ‘Live’ BBC comments. Good god, the Mods on there ONLY selected anything and everything negative. It was embarrassing selection of comments. There was NOTHING positive at all selected by BBC to be shown, just mass overhyped negativity (almost certainly by other teams fans pretending to be United too!).
Should we have won, yes. Did we ever control both halves last year, never! It’s a huge improvement and positive. Nothing to ‘celebrate!, but we did very well and totally controlled an away game vs a difficult away team.

The build up has improved but the tempo has to improve. I get the idea with Dalot moving into midfield but he hardly ever got the ball. I still think we need a baller in midfield. Mainoo is promising, but we need more than what he is capable of right now in that position
