Here is another logo Designing tutorial,in this spiral spring like shape created from a strip of rectangle has been revolve around a cylinder to form this design.
we start our design from basic rectangle, converted into symbol,and used it to create this logo. we have used Gradient tool, extrude and bevel option, revolve option, etc , . Whole preparation process has been explained step by step.

while designing this logo u create the rectangle shape and copy to 3 parts
and then u adjust it equally
the easy way to copy is alt+shift+drag then control + D = easy way to copy in equal distance ......

To ensure the rectangles are of equal distance from each other, I create 7 rectangles that are touching each other side to side, then delete rectangles 2, 4, and 6. This leaves rectangles 1,3,5,7 or in other words, 4 rectangles equally distant from each other.
or you can copy it once and press ctrl+d to recopy it with same distance
Surely highlighting them all and clicking on 'align horizontal centres' under the align panel would be far easier no?
