honoring her and respecting her. It seems so crazy that women are really wanting to have men in submission to them. Disrespecting her and trying to control her, then turn around telling men how they want men to behave. Having men on pins and needles makes it so hard these days for men. How is it okay to treat men like that?
Women can get away with this kind of bad behavior because the society has allowed them to do so...but if men do so..they will be shamed and monetary punitive measures will be imposed by court..along with missing the kids.
When will society change to acknowledge the pain felt by men?

As a wife of 20 + years, who is in the struggle of a lifetime with my husband. I’m trying to save my marriage but my husband is not putting in the work. He has a history of psychological & emotional abuse towards me & the kids, he now says he wants the marriage to work but refuses to change, I’m not sure I can take anymore.

Does smart contact work if you're living under the same roof? Wife doesnt seem to care about me or my well being anymore. I still will send a good morning text and maybe see how her day is going around lunch. I see from this video that i need to cut all of that out. I just do it bc i genuinely care but i see that may be working against me.
This video couldn’t have been dropped at a better time! Iv broken no contact and my wife got very angry and me and shut me down....she listened to what I had to say, but just said I am not your wife anymore, I do not trust you enough to ever be in a marriage with you anymore. Idc if I’m legally married in the states eyes I am not your wife anymore that’s why we’re separated and she was very ugly about it so I panicked and poured my heart out to her. I didn’t ask for her to take me back I told her I still have a lot to learn but I am becoming the best version of myself no matter what and she just shut me down and didn’t respond til she said can I go I have stuff to do. We will be seperated one month on the first. I’m hoping I didn’t make things way worse then they already were
Im sorry man. I have been there one time before. And unfortunately. I am once again in a similar situation. All we can control is what we do and do not do.
My wife knows how i feel about her like yours. All we can do is what is right.
I can't force her to love/like/listen to me.
In the beginning I didn't force her to want these things. Thats all I focus on. Is being better than I was yesterday today. And better tomorrow than today. And be available for her to come to me.

Amazing advice brother, going to put it to action!
I've spoken with a psychologist, describing the changes in my wife's behavior. He said I need to get her somewhere to have an interview for evaluation, and suggested she get to her gynecologist as soon as possible. He says it sounds like she is in crisis. My wife says there's nothing wrong with her, and will not go anywhere. She's moved out and wants a divorce. I don't. What in the world can I do? She's the love of my life and my best friend.

It's amazing to see the amount of people that come here to listen to the video and then decide they are better off doing what they have been doing all along..
For any spouse that is struggling with the concept in this video, try putting yourself in the place of the "wife" in the analogy and make your spouse the "husband". Do you still want to persue that marriage when your spouse doesn't honor your wishes (and they are the one standing)?

@@glassjester I dunno, I think you gotta fight to keep your family together. I’m just saying in the end if she wants to leave, let her go. Matters about the children become a different conversation. It just gets to a bad point there. Especially if your the bread winner and she thinks it’s okay to just get up and leave and take the kids without being able to provide for herself. Cannot be summed up by just saying “let her go” but if she wants to leave the conversation becomes “ok leave, but I want 50/50 time with our children, and you can leave this house whenever you like”.
He violated respect by entering HIS OWN home and taking care of the yard? For God's sake, that wife needs to grow up.

I don’t think the PIES and SMART will work for me anymore because my spouse left and decided live with his mistress. Their affair rekindled last year, it started in 2012 (his 2nd affair too)
