When my wife told me she had given up, and the marriage could not be repaired, I was devastated. As a man, I took her words literally and I did not understand that she had given up on me and did not believe that I could be the husband that she needed me to be. It was a hard pill to swallow because I felt that because I was a good provider, I was a good husband. Paul's experience and advise is saving my marriage and I am so incredibly thankful. I am a work in progress; however, my wife is responding to the changes I have made so far and we are slowly coming back together. The other day as we were walking, she reached out and grabbed my hand. I will continue to follow your advice to make my marriage one that is loving and respectful. Thank you, Paul!
I feel like I’m too late I felt like I was doing enough too by working so hard to give my wife and our daughters everything I never had as a child but it’s not enough and I didn’t realize it but she’s done emotionally and doesn’t love me anymore and I’m torn apart I know I can change but she isn’t even giving me a second chance I’ve begged and I know it makes it worse but I would do anything for her and it took me too long to really appreciate her like I should have and I regret it immensely :/
I've cried through this video because it's too late for me. I needed to change and nearly nine months on, I have changed many habits and learnt to control my mind/self well, by attending a men's group and martial arts class. I hoped if I could demonstrate understanding my mistakes, making real change and renewed commitment, my wife would accept me back. I'm going to hold on with the hope that I'm a rare and lucky case. Thanks for the videos. The truth bomb at the beginning of this really hurt.
My wife moved out this past weekend, with kids and all. I am shattered beyond comprehension. I have never felt this much pain in my life. I want her back. My life is incomplete without her. I want my family back.
So if your wife gives you know sense that she is unhappy , you have been married for 18 years with 3 kids and she decides she is done and does not want to me married anymore then what? Had no signs but she is gone Is it a mid life crisis? No one really knows but her so I wish life what like you explained in your video where there are signs and you can work on yourself to prevent this but in my situation there were no signs
Usually, David, there are plenty of signs but the mind is a treacherous friend and hides things from you that when we understand marriage and others we are able to pick up on. Now, it sounds like it is too late for your marriage but not too late for you to learn. Get one of my books so you can be in a new relationship and not be blind-sided.
@@TheMarriageFoundation I am still married have a separation agreement but she has left the house We live in the same town no idea is she is dating anyone but really not interested in being in a new relationship Really thought I knew her very well but obviously I didn’t
It is all in these videos, books and courses. Basically, that to master one's mind is a first step towards opening one's heart and that we can feel joy no matter what our outer circumstances may be.
I like the prayer at the end. Here's an attempt at translating it to Arabic الهي، قد عزمت ان اقدر، وانوي، واعمل، فاهد تقديري ونيتي وعملي الي ما هو صواب
Ive been playing catch up in the marriage pauls guidance which is good sence i hope that if she could see the posts and accept my approacheds a a calmer more centred man i believe that i could rebuild a new marriage and future. It took me too long to se the signs and at first i thought it was that she was rubbish at communicating but in actual fact it was that i didnt see the actions and signs i was complacent i didnt work we didnt work it out together. I only pray there is time as this one is my only one
I have a religious view that says marriage is for life. If your wife divorces you then you can work on yourself but never get married again- in other words single and celibate for life. If she does not reconcile with you then both of you are to remain single till death. If your wife commits adultery you are permitted but not required to divorce and that’s the only case you can remarry if the other person has not been married before. It’s a very strict belief I know but the idea is 1. You cannot take marriage lightly 2. Do what you can to be the best husband you can and 3. If it’s over then you can become a better person but generally never remarry.
