anywhizzle here's a couple things:
1: I was not aware they are adults??? I knew they were "kidults" in the game, but I didn't know it was the same for the show as well.
2: I also might rename these types of vids as "I edited Cuphead" or something, because I realized a lot of my commentary can annoy people (which makes sense, when I look for scenes to edit or just in general, the text can get really annoying). That way it'll be easier for people who just want "moments" to find videos like that.
3: I'm loving that my shadow reference made y'all laugh. I couldn't stop laughing myself while editing xD

The scene where the Devil takes Mugman is where Cuphead finally realizes he darn fucked up. He let his ignorance of the Devil get to him, and then it led to him taking his pitchfork, and now the Devil takes his brother. Cuphead has to deal with the consequences of his actions.

This season is so damn good like wow, Mugman being so unhinged, so many callbacks to the game (ie the original source material), the voice acting once again, everything!
Also the cliffhanger at the end killed me like noooo you can’t mess with my boi Cupheads heart like that, legit wanted to cry at that moment because you *can’t* separate them, brothers, “blue-nosed friend”, pal Mugman

Also me: you know Mugman was the greatest obstacle keeping the devil from collecting cupheads soul, he should probably get rid of him in order to take it.
Except he's not aloud to take it anymore. Yeah he definitely should've done that in season oneA when he could still collect the soul

@@an-animal-lover pretty sure he'd want to take his soul anyway, cause he said he was gonna get it one way or another. Also he's, y'know, the Devil, so he could do whatever he wants. He could even take Mugman's soul if he wanted to. Not like Stickler could do anything.
You'd think the Devil would try to eliminate Mugman in the first place! He knows it was Mugman who kept him from taking Cuphead's soul! I was surprised this show put in a simple loophole to make sure the Devil wasn't supposed to take Cuphead's soul anymore! You'd think there would at least be a trial or a rescue mission for Cuphead!
This season was definitely darker than the last season! Not only could the episode "Sweet Temptation" be considered a Cuphead horror story, but characters get killed or almost killed on or off-screen (like how the Devil burns his demons to death on-screen, Ludwig gets supposedly killed by the falling piano and you can only hear it on the radio, and Elder Kettle attempts to whack Cuphead and Mugman with a fire poker)!
Not to mention the WHOLE Mugman and ice cream man ordeal

In very old cartoons they just played pianos not paying attention to what keys there were being played and Cuphead is more of a 1930s style so 😭, but you are true

Okay, okay, that little segment at the end with Mugman being taken- Just the few seconds of silence, and Cuphead's stunned expression aren't really anything dramatic on their own. But compared to the rest of the show, which has been lighthearted and cheerful stuff so far with cute and funny hijinks, it's kinda raw.

I’m hoping rly hard that him being that way was for this moment to mean more than just “oh no he took my brother” like it’s one thing for someone you love to be taken away but it’s another when they get taken away and you were rude to them/never showed that you cared beforehand. Like that’s a different level of hurt

Now it'll mean a lot more to Cuphead to save his brother and hopefully apologize to him for being the way that he was and maybe he'll promise to be a better person. I had actually known about the Season finale twist for a month. The reason I knew was because the directors posted a video of the cast voicing out the episode as if they were in the middle of recording and setting it up, so people who saw it saw the last episode before it's official release.
