As a joker main when I’m serious but for a stripes main for fun I can agree. He can definitely get outclassed though😭 but once u learn him he’s 🔥. I just wished the gun was a little stronger also his skateboard dash is hella underrated and gets lots of kills for me

Loops that cost meter should NEVER be nerfed.

Especially since I plan to play only Agent Smith when he's finally available 2 weeks early, so I might as well get back on Stripe for a bit to practice this. It looks very satisfying 🔥

tried this out a bit in training, had to change some control settings to get this to work easier, but getting it feels nice. I haven't got it to work in combos yet, but you can feel it sort of click when the shots happen.

I've been getting really into Stripe after they nerfed Lebron to the ground. He feels so good and has a surprising amount of options to stack damage or kill. Definitely my current favorite character.

Is there a good way to learn the timing on instant back gun shots?
Whenever I try doing it after the third jab hit I either do the regular gun shot or I do the skateboard move.

The first time I played stripe I thought he was the chankiest bad character in the game and you just changed my mind he is now the chankiest coolest character in the game😂
Can anyone explain what he means by a move having good "frame data"?
It means that it comes out very quickly, it takes only a few frames to become active. A lot of Stripe's attacks don't have good frame data because they take a long time before the hitboxes come out, and some even have a lot of end lag. So he was saying that the Neutral Air bite attack is useful because it's his fastest melee move. Google "Smash Ultimate Frame Data" and you can see exactly what literal frame data is for that game.
it’s a general fighting game term. basically it’s the amount of frames a given attack takes. for example if an attack takes 15 frames to start up, it’ll get beat out by an attack that has a 7 frame startup every time. stripe particularly has a lot of moves with long active frames, which is how long the move is in action. these aren’t great because if they don’t hit, you’re stuck in the animation and the opponent can attack before you recover. recovery frames are a little bit less prevalent in MV as they are in other fighting games because there’s no blocking, but that’s how long it takes you to recover from a blocked/missed attack. if your attack has 15 recovery frames, any attack from your opp that has less than a 15 frame startup will “punish”
to more specifically answer your question, a move with “good frame data” would have a quick startup, low active frames, and low recovery frames. it gets more technical with +/- frames in regular fighting games but that’s the basics for MV

directional input, move ur joystick in a certain direction to get out of combos, survive longer, etc
honestly this is probably gonna get nerfed but it's really awesome (also really loving all the stripe content, it feels great to see him get appreciation and to see you finding out new stuff, i didn't know how far you could take gun combos)
stripe is definitely going to get nerfed in some capacity, not because he's top tier but because he's fun. I can already see a dynamite cooldown added or gun cooldown extended. Or I wouldn't put it past the devs to just remove the ability to change the direction of gun knockback or something.
Ehh I don’t see it not many people play him and there is no problem with him rn he isn’t over powered at all. Many people hop on him and spam chainsaw or his 1,2,3 that’s it . U won’t find many stripes ever playing like how void just did .

Man I thought everyone knew if you do a move the other way, the move changes the properties. I have pretty much infinite loops with every character using this.
Same as holding an attack versus tapping once. There’s some moves you can’t DI out of if you do it backwards causing loops
