I qgree that Iron Giant isn't that good, most people just don't have the combo game/patience to fight him properly so they get rolled and xall him broken instead of improving. A lot of his kills come from people running into his moves and dodging in the same way, practically serving him early kills on a platter.
Yeah, as someone who plays IG since beta...He still gets 0TD by just about everyone if they pay attention. Sometimes against some match ups it gets to be downright ignorant and disrespectful how much, and how easily you can be looped to death. Bugz, Black atom, T&J, Marvin just to name some specifically horrible cases.
a lot of iron giants moves have amazing frame data and come out fast. he is actually a really good character. a good iron giant player is not going to throw out moves so you can easily whiff punish them... and if they are good like t1carry is they will know their moves come out faster than your approach option and catch you.

The power up he does gives you thorns its not a effective but it does knockback when you use it and it gives him a little shield. I'm pretty sure it functions as a secondary super that only takes third of the rage meter
The reason why Iron Giant got a little shield on his feet is because of the Projectile Shield Perk. Move enough distance you gain a buff that auto-dodges all projectiles. This is active while using UpB
I really don't understand this character man, he's total combo food for the rest of the cast, but can easily gimp you at any percent, especially on lightweights. I don't understand why they can't just scale IG's size and hitboxes down a notch, Ultimate did it with Ridley and I see no reason to keep canon sizes because it makes playing this character fairly unfun and unfair
Iron Giant isn’t that insane of a character. They’ve finally removed his easy zero to deaths and infinites and I can confidently say that I’d been relying on them way to much thinking I was good. He definitely isn’t as great of a character after having those removed. (Which was needed) and the #1 Iron Giant in this video got 0 to deaths that aren’t easy to finish a player with. This guy is just good. The best player in the game will always win with the worst character against the worst player with the best character.

@@LegendGamer-dj8om edgeguarding is not abuse it legit competitive play. In order to get his opponent there he has to win neutral as a super huge slow character with takes skill. Most of the characters in this game have ranged options, combos, or armor that makes it a huge struggle for iron giant players to even play the game. Cheap sure but skill-less Me personally i dont think so.

How is that more honest then someone that takes up 2/3 of the screen and can be 0-100 TOD by any decent juggler? This is coming from a Reindog main

@@matumcwrap I hate to use this term but it sounds like a skill issue. I can TOD Iron Giant with Reindog, REINDOG. You just wait for them to burn that move bc it has a long cool down. Also their side attack is very easily counterable and their dash attack is as well bc they have super high recovery times. Shoot their side attack you dodge once and they're locked into it which is where you can usually bait out the combo breaker move. After that it's as simple as staying below them. Even their air charge you can easily exhaust and leave them with no jets which leads to very easy edge and juggle combos. Even their air neutral has a higher recovery then most moves in anyone's kit.
Iron Giant’s large size makes his combo game very rewarding to kill with if played consistently, even debatably unfair. However he can get comboed into oblivion if not played right. His big attack hitboxes and easy combo game with still enough attack and follow through speed is what puts him above Jason in some matchups. When it comes to balancing him, I believe it would be best to give him less movement with some of his moves, yet keep his damage and kill power high to reward those moments you follow through without having to resort to something similar to Superman cheese.
Ngl, if he decided to play any other character, he'd easily dominate cuz giant is all "make the wrong move and have a competent opponent and eat 70 damage"
A lot of people think Giant is broken because they really don't know how to play against him and aren't patient at all. And while I do believe he's worse than a lot of people think he is I wouldn't say he's bad. He's actually quite good in both game modes. I'd say he's at the top of B tier in 1s and at the mid point of A tier in 2s. I really don't think his base form needs any nerfs, but I do think Rage Mode needs to be looked at. Rockets need a cooldown, the shockwave on down tilt needs a cooldown, and the kill power of up Special needs to be reduced.
Iron giant is number one in results in both modes for a reason, stop lying, he is the best character in the game and deserves the nerfs, hope you enjoy while you can 😉
Im pretty sure I beat this guy with Garnet. He's a fuckin menace, but he's not too diff from other iron giants, and baiting out his spin and hitting him with an attack that can get over him is a good stop

I know a lot of people are complaining about iron giant but i think they did a good job reworking him. He is actaully fun to play, and his combos are good but not broken.
Play super aggressive, most tom and jerry players don't play very good when u keep putting pressure on them (obv sum can play well up close) and the best ways to kill Jerry are probs when they shoot Jerry at u try do a charge attack to him tom and Jerry at the same time before they pick Jerry up, it should kill Jerry and damage the tom
