That one sounds beautiful… perfect and cozy for fall I feel like 🥰
It has a cold elegance to it. Not really comforting to me because it's not sweet or creamy at all. It sits really close to the skin so only the ones who hug you would smell it.
I consider it as an appriopriate scent for Office too. Something quite elegant that won't bother your neighbours 😆

I think I talked about it a lot earlier in my favourites of the month videos. This is indeed one of my favourite Guerlain 😁
I've not tried any of this line, but I need to. I guess they can't all be loves, but good that you appreciate it. 🥰
So far Encens mythique is really my favourite one but the other ones are also really good 😉
That one sounds lovely. But I already have Bewitching and love it!
It reminds me of it because it has some common notes but this one is definitely drier. It doesn't have a hint of floral notes or creaminess in the middle. So I may prefer the Bewitching Yasmine so far. Epices exquises is more discreet and slightly more masculine but still elegant.

Glad the drydown balanced out. No surprise that it's lighter and the bottle uses less paint. Gotta save money somewhere n'est ce-pas? 😄 Merci Karine!
The opening is really spicy but still green and fresh with a hint of coffee, the middle is so-so for me with this dry paper feel and I appreciated the base with the woody notes and the patchouli but it become more common in that stage I would say. Considering the savings, I think that repacking the whole range to make it more "eco-friendly" was already a huge cost for them. Then considering the ingredients, I think that there is a good amount of cardamom there and this is still the 3rd most expensive spice after saffron and vanilla. For the oud, I have some doubts about real oud in this one considering the price of the bottle and how expensive real oud is. Still in the dry down, I have a slight impression of laotian oud. So if it's really there, it may be in a very small quantity 😄

Je l’ai sentis vite fait au duty free dernièrement je n’ai pas accroché, j’avais de grands espoirs. Il faudrait que je teste à nouveau :)
Je le trouve très sec. Il aurait peut être été plus agréable avec des notes florales au milieu, ou un côté baumé ou ambré dans le fond. Mais il aurait été peut être moins original. En tout cas, je le trouve intéressant. C'est celui qui "envoie" le moins dans cette gamme mais qui est du coup le plus facile à porter.

I was not blown away by this one but I still enjoy it. I think it is the softest from the range which was quite surprising to me. I'm quite curious to see how it will be received. Especially by people who love fragrances with huge sillage and projection. They may be a bit disappointed with this one 😅

@@scentedsnowdrops Yes but that's an interesting take on French perfumery with Middle-Eastern inspiration. A soft and elegant touch with some ingredients reminding us of this area. Not at all like the beasts fragrances we used to have in this range that were more appealing to the American market.

I have one fun proposal. I tried this recently in the shop and on other hand I had Aqua Allegoria Forte Rosa Palissandro Forte and it was such a good combo. I think you have both. Does it smell good to you together? I have to try it again and again and both are on my list in next purchase 😉 For now, I have started with Santal Royal, next one is Epices Exquises and maybe next one is Patchouli or Cuir Intense... I know you love the Encens Mythique, for me it is bit too much animalic, and i think for that I have also another combination 😎 on the other hand I dont want to layer too much, only if that really works!
That's an idea, I could see it working! (I just have a sample of Rosa palissandro but that's a good idea). I love the Patchouli one too and I think that's a good one to wear almost all year long (maybe not for summer though). Yes, Encens mythique is my favourite one but so predictable as I love ambergris :p This note is so attractive to me ^^
this month I have purchased Santal Royal And Epices Exquises, i just couldnt resist! hehe I do like Epices Exquises as it doesnt scream so much but the blend is so beautiful and not too heavy. I was testing for a week or so all new Forte and I want them all, Rossa Palissandro, Bosca Vanilla and also Yuzu Oud. Just the Yuzu Oud I wish the drydown is more specific and interesting. After the citrus is gone I wasnt feeling that much. I really wish I have enough of money for some of L'Art & La Matière collection! @@OlfactiveStories
Coucou Karine 😁 j ai beaucoup aimé ce parfum ! Je ne connais pas the bewishing ??Jasmine donc je n ai pas d avis pour la ressemble :) moi je le trouve doux, différent des autres Absolus d Orient et du coup plus féminin moi non plus je ne sens pas le oud ✨

J'ai mis le nom des parfums dont je parle en barre d'info, c'est The Bewitching Yasmine de Penhaligon's 😉 Je pense qu'ils ont plusieurs notes en commun d'où mon impression au départ. Mais il devient bien différent par la suite. Celui-ci est en effet bien plus doux. Il projette beaucoup moins que les autres et je le trouve très sec sur ma peau. Je ne sens pas la moindre note fleurie, pas de sucre ni de côté crémeux pour arrondir le tout. Je pense que c'est pour cela qu'il m'apparaît plus masculin. Par contre même si le sillage n'est pas fou, même discrètement il reste très longtemps sur ma peau.
Si à un moment tu souhaites t en séparer je pourrais être intéressée 😉
