    I been having lots of problems with clear coat and the 4000b Ntools.....it laid down with lots of imperfections ... until I decided to do what you usually do .. warming up the clear coat 😂, got a cheap rice cooker this morning from Argos....let in the clear without hardener for 10 minutes to up to 40c....then once added the cold hardener went down a couple of C......,I then sprayed...🎉🎉🎉🎉 I could see and hear the difference on how was coming out from the gun....I finally have a perfect finish 😂, thanks Pete 👍
    Ps: where do u get those plastic bottles?

      Hi Mate, Sometimes I wonder if I'm on the same planet as some of these guys and girls showing us these new guns.
      They rave about them, saying how much they have improved etc, then when you get hold of one, the performance difference just isn't there. Sure, it looks different, and parts don't interchange, it feels a little different maybe but the performance is sometimes indistinguishable from the original.
      Appreciate the comments buddy, thanks 👍

    Hi Pete, there is no denying that both guns lay the basecoat really nice and smooth, I remember you saying a long while ago when you first got these guns that they are exactly the same so I don't know how they can say it's a series 2 as the only real difference is the addition of the digital version and that the split tip now lines up with the air horns on the clearcoat gun where before they didn't, correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's about it🤷‍♂🤔
    I've never owned the original WS400 so I can't compare them but I love my Series 2 digital clear gun and apart from the weird battery issue with it still showing low battery after replacing it and the display being a bit dim it's been fine and the black chrome finish on mine is still like new plus it's always been kept in my workshop (AKA shed) since the day I got it about 2 years ago👌😎
    Cheers Pete and I hope you are a bit warmer where you are🥶👍

      Hi John, I am certainly a bit bemused by all the hype about the Series2, certainly they are very good, but they always were.
      I get the WS400 Series 2 Clear Coat gun being easier to use, so most people will get on with it better, but I just don't see it in the other 2, the OBS & LS400.
      I'm just a bit sceptical as to all the game-changing headlines I'm seeing now, certainly not that game changing from where I see it, cheers mate 👍

    You have to remove the guage every time you clean and you wont have a problem. I have 3 of these spray guns and have not had a problem with the guage. If you keep the guage on while running thinners on it it will definitely damage it quickly.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Jeremy, Yes, you need to remove the gauge and put the plug in.
      The people who have had troubles have done this, the gauge still works but is faint even after battery replacement, or, on some the magnets have gone, some the chrome has started blistering.
      They are replaced under warranty, but it doesn't give you much fath in the build quality.

    • @jeremyoetken2094
      @jeremyoetken2094 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @peteshobbies5383 yeah not much faith for sure. I clean my guns differently than a gun washer so mine have been fine. I use a thinner sprayer so I never have to partially submerge or saturate the spray guns. But completely agree these guns should be able to hold up to any spray gun washer

    Great video. So the original WS400 base gun doesn’t spray any different than the new WS400 series 2? The original models can be found for less than $550. The newer series two is almost twice that.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi buddy, I really can't see any difference, physically, of course, but in delivery, no.
      The ingredients are the same, tip and cap are the same, they have changed the threads so they are not compatible but in my book they spray the same.
      You will always find the older model much cheaper as it's now old stock. Once they are sold, you are then obviously left with no choice, so we will have to pay the new price.

    Hello, I have been watching your videos for a long time and I really like how you do it. I would like to ask for advice. I own an anest iwata ws 400 1.4hd clear 1 series, I am not satisfied with the atomization and would like to try the 1.3 OBS tip for applying clear coat with finer atomization. But it is not clear to me why in the technical data, when setting OBS 1.3, the liquid flow rate is 160 ml/min at a pressure of 2 bar and an air flow rate of 370 l/min. Logically, it should atomize finer with less liquid flow (160ml/min). You write that the classic ws 400 clear applied a dry spray on the basecoat and that only the OBS setting solved it. So does OBS use a different amount of air and liquid flow than the manufacturer's specifications to make the spray wet? My question is whether I can achieve a finer atomization of the colorless varnish with the 1.3 OBS nozzle than with the hd nozzles. Thanks in advance for your help.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, the OBS tip has different size air holes, they are smaller , this video is on the new version but the differences are exactly the same, it may explain it better , hope that helps,
