whenever I start watching your videos, I always wish they never end! Love your shooting style, direction, lighting and literally every creative aspect of your video.
It's hard to believe that the low light quality is so much better than that of GoPro! I'm thrilled to see this insta360 company stepping up to compete.
Wow, this Insta360 ACE Pro camera seems like a game-changer! The low light quality is blowing my mind, especially compared to GoPro. It's great to see Insta360 stepping up to compete in the market. Plus, the stabilization and image quality in low light are just crazy! I can't wait to get my hands on one. Keep up the amazing work on your videos, I love every creative aspect of them. Never want them to end! 😊🎥⛵️
Also!! The camera doesn’t have the AI warp feature because the processor isn’t good enough and is entirely app based. You also have to pay for it after 3 months, but they dont put that in the ad
Jesse this has got to be the most random question but what color are the walls in your studio?? I'm looking into painting mine and that is the exact green I was looking for! If you don't want to say, I understand but just wondering
Haha not random at all! I actually stole this colour when I saw Becki and Chris use it for Chris’s new office. It’s called Mohegan Sage from Benjamin Moore. Mine is fully matte but I might have preferred just a smidge shinierz
Great video thank you.. would be interested in a side by side comparison with the Osmo Pocket 3 for low light if you get a chance. I know they’re aimed at different uses but would be nice to see.
I wish that one company out of the three big action cameras companies (GoPro, DJI, and insta360) would just buy all of them and combine to make an ecosystem that’s unbeatable
Well 1 Question You Did Not Answer Here is, Go Pro, as We All Know By Now, Has Some Issues With Over Heating. Does This Ace Share That Problem 🤔. Now Other Questions, How Is Battery Life? How Does it Perform Under Water? How Does The Sound Stand Up Against Other Competition? What Accessories Are Available, and Can You Use Some of Your Accessories From Other Cameras on This?
@@JesseDriftwood Thanks. There are lots of sports coaches who need to record games that try to use these cameras only to find out that they overheat and shut down. So they use their phones and iPads.
@@coachsteveTV Yeah that makes a lot of sense! My guess is the heat would change based on what recording modes you're in, whether or not you're charging, what speed of charger you're using, if the screen is on, etc etc. Lots of variables to test!
Any chance you could check the LRV files and let us know the resolution and frame rate? Most importantly, does the LRV frame rate match the frame rate of the main video file? On previous insta360 cameras the LRV files have a lower frame rate (14.98fps) which makes them useless for using as proxy files for editing. Gopro & DJI cameras use a matching frame rate for their LRV files, so they can be used as proxies for editing. To check the frame rate & resolution you just need to rename the LRV file from .lrv to .mp4 and then it will work like a normal video file. Thanks in advance!
there is more motion blur with the gopro wich also shows in low light but motion blur on the sides makes everything look faster so in my opinion. i would choose the gopro. Just for the motion blur making everything look like it is moving.
Well if I ever get my hands on one I'll give it a shot! But the lowlight on the OA4 is also quite trash, I've seen comparisons with the Ace Pro and its no contest.
No built-in, ND, but I imagine there will be other ones for it aftermarket. No shutter angle, but I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want that on an action camera anyways. Unless maybe you had it locked off somewhere and didn’t plan on moving it at all..
Whoa, a youtuber from the Hammer. I wish their website would ship to my (new) country so you could get the affiliation.. awaiting their reply, otherwise it's Amazon/Ali Express
Scratch or break the lens and you have a very expensive paperweight.. apparently the production models lens covers are not replaceable, a crazy decision for an action camera.
Well that depends! The main sensor of the iPhone 15 pro defintily wins, but the wide angle on the 15 pro is noticeably worse, particularly if the light starts to dim. Also if you need wide angle and good stabilization then the iPhone is out of the question, since action mode crops so much.
my biggest issue with these new "action" cameras is the durability, sure walk around with it thats good. but strap it to a fpv drone and first crash and the screen is gone. for me an action camera should be durable, else im just gonna use a small mirrorless apsc or something like that.
You might be right! Though the screen clicks into places and requires a button press on each side to open it, so I actually don't think that would be a failure point. So far I've smashed mine on the ground about 20 times while filming Onewheel stuff, and had it fall off of the car mount to the road while driving (because I'm an idiot). Lots of scratches, no issues yet.
I saw a lot people reviewing Insta360. But never use it again. If they need some sort of action camera, they'll just use GoPro. Very very few people use Insta360 cameras as main or side camera. If I were people behind Insta360, I would find content creators who don't have the best camera, give them to review .. and because they don't have better camera, they'll end up using Insta360 full time. That's what we could call 'honest marketing'
Nice advertisement 😊 All these Insta360 ACE Pro advertisements were published yesterday.. „8K vs. 4K!!!“, AI (it is only a gimmick in the App)and low light but not real comparison to go pro. Maybe the lowlight performance is better. But for example not the field of view (which is much smaller than GoPro). This is no honest review or comparison… it is just nice advertisement 😂
@@ChillFlightsForFun BRO, i don't use my action camera in low light scenarios... and thus quality of video is more important for me. and i can't use the smartphone for most situation i use the action camera, isn't that obvious to render your smartphone example simply stupid?!😉😉

Dude no one uses the GoPro any longer. The DJI Osmo 4 is the only comparison. There is a reason that Insta360 asked for comparison between GoPro. That is because the DJI looks the same or better than the Ace Pro.
Yeah I was actually surprised to hear about this! My prototype had a removable lens so I just assumed that would be standard. I think they have an option to fix it for you, but it’s a shame you can do it yourself.

2.4 inches is enormous… right guys?

the stabilization and image quality in low light goes crazy 🔥
First affordable Leica ever 😂 awesome camera, the low light performance is really a game changer for action cams. Ordered mine a minute ago!
ooofff that shot at 4:51 is really rad
GoPros and Insta 360's has taken over this channel.

Seeing New 360 camera filming the GT-s makes me so jealous! Great review!
The stabilization in low light is unbelievable!
It is a good thing you are shooting in flat color profile on the Gopro. Helps you colour grade better later.
the newer portable cameras are pretty insane these days
Well, we know what we say to that question 😎 Look at those low light shots! Killer.
After a long time ❤💛
Did you compare how fast each get over-heated?
Question 👋 Can you change the lens?
Cool! Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
What about battery type and battery life? Guessing the embargo to discuss that hasn't been lifted yet.
Imo, the Insta360 has a kinda HDR look and is a bit oversharpened and GoPro still looks more „cinematic“ to me
Seems like the Ace Pro for the Win!!
gotta love comparisons where one side paid money...
Nice iLoud MTM. Same as I use on my desk.
Oh nice! I also have a Singxer SA-1 on the desk I bought after one of your reviews.
Wouldn’t be a review from you without random stuff happening, or dropping but FCPX starting up by itself is a new one!

Can I know what name that thing you play like skateboard? 😅
The colors on the GoPro is better but in low light, that's where the Ace Pro shines.
They are sponsoring the video, so you mean its a commercial for insta360. Not an objective review.
Yes obviously this isn’t an objective review. I said up front this is an ad.
So...what the name of the skate?
Well

The Website shows Active HDR only available for the ACE. No Active HDR for the Pro model?
That must be a typo. The crow definitely has active HDR, I’m using it right now.
Why is this video at 720p specially when comparing 2 cameras?
Haven't seen any videos on the Ace....only the Ace Pro
